The buildings and parking lot of this motel looked very good. The rooms were clean and good sized. I liked that our sink vanity was separate from the toilet/shower room. The only complaint is the style inside is outdated and needs remodeling. It was a great value and very close to everything in Garberville.

I appreciated the cleanliness of the room and surrounding areas. Next door to a restaurant, very convenient. Room had a mini fridge and microwave which was great for leftovers. The bed felt like cardboard so not a very good night sleep, but all else considered, not bad.

Just traveling thru. Super hot all day and wanted to chill. AC was great but no TV cable and NO WiFi. This is unacceptable. There were three rooms occupied on the night before July 4. They cannot pay the bills. Garberville appears to be a dying town.

Quaint property that has been well kept. A little rough stains around the bed base and the ceiling, but all the touchable surfaces like the linens and carpet were clean. We really appreciated that they honored our request for two side-by-side rooms, making our stay even more comfortable. The rooms were impressively clean and thoughtfully furnished. Each included: A table with two chairs A large, elongated table/dresser combo Coffee machine with coffee and condiment packets Shampoo and body wash packets Plenty of fresh towels A spotless tub and toilet Parking was also a major plus — easy, safe, and located directly in front of the rooms. This made unloading luggage super convenient, especially for our late-night check-in. No stress, no long walks, just park and rest. Overall, a reliable and well-managed stay. Great value, great service, and hassle-free from start to finish!

It was good for a stop over driving from San Francisco to the Oregon coast. The guy at the front was very nice and check in was quick. Bed was ok, sheets were scratchy, but it was not expensive and it was clean and quiet. Lots of homeless walking around the town but no problems. Just like a 1950s motor lodge. I had a lot of baggage to bring inside and it was super close to my car.

There were roaches in the bathroom. The tub had no safety mat and the fiberglass was slippery. Plus there were no safety bars. I was intimidated about taking a shower. The only thing this motel has going for it is its name on the freeway signs.

Very clean. Everything in the room in good working order. Even AC vents were spotless. Great jumping off point for Avenue of the Giants and Richardson Grove. Not fancy but very clean and well kept. Easy walk to attractions in Garberville.

It was quick and easy to get to and park. My family and I mainly needed a safe quiet place to sleep, it was. Just the house keeping wasn't to good. Didn't make up beds, take trash out.

Very basic room with no amenities. The hotel is run down. Even tho the place was empty they put us in the farthest room away. Only one pillow each which makes tv watching uncomfortable. The bedding is questionable. I doubt they clean/change the comforter. And the shower curtain was really scummy on the bottom. The room did smell nice tho.

Overnight stay to continue our trip to our final destination. It is a very old motel. One of the bedside lights didn't work. Shower head very low have to bend over to get hair wet & the water backed up in the tub & drained extremely slow. Bed was ok.

Very poor room interior arrangement. There are no accessible electric sockets except for a power box under the TV. The only work surface is a table with no illumination. The table and only chair have incompatible heights. A second person in the room has no place to sit. The bath towels are ok if you are a child. The miniature soap bar will last for 2 hand washes. The bath mat is paper. If you plug in the fridge, microwave, or brew pot, you have cords running across the only place you can put an open suitcase. No luggage rack. One hanger in the closet. No place to hang a towel except over the shower bar. We have to come once a year to a town with 2 motels and 2 places to eat. This room costs $125; the other place would be $275. This place is ok if you only need a room to sleep and shower.

Did not stay here for long. After a long drive from Crescent city up north through 'Ave of Giants', we crashed here. We loved our hikes among redwoods there. The room was big and it is close to the southern entrance of 'Ave of Giants'. There is a good coffee shop/bakery (Il forno) nearby. Tried coffee there. The room was clean. The owner provided a blow dryer that we asked for. All rooms were on same level.

Received an email at 3 PM on the day of my stay stating that the credit card I used was declined and I was going to lose my room in an hour. This is the first time that a hotel has charged my card prior to me showing up. I called the hotel and had them run the card again, it went thru. When I showed up at the hotel, there was no lobby, just a sliding window. The person who checked me in didn't make eye contact, didn't smile, just wasn't friendly at all. The room had a musky smell. Bugs in the bathroom. The smoke detector was setting on top of the microwave and not on the ceiling where it should be. Appliances were unplugged and had to wait for the fridge to get cool for our drinks. Overall, it wasn't a good experience and won't stay there again.

I stopped by at 11:30 just to confirm my reservation and the host let me check in over 3 hours early. When I went to my room I found that the thermostat was not working, so the host immediately moved me to another room. Very friendly and helpful. Another great thing was the Humboldt Bar and Grill next door. I was already planning to eat there and was amazed when Google maps said it was a one minute walk. The room had a table and chairs, so I was able to eat in the room and relax after a busy day along the Eel River. I would definitely stay there again.

Very clean. Everything in the room in good working order. Even AC vents were spotless. Great jumping off point for Avenue of the Giants and Richardson Grove. Not fancy but very clean and well kept. Easy walk to attractions in Garberville.

Did not stay here for long. After a long drive from Crescent city up north through 'Ave of Giants', we crashed here. We loved our hikes among redwoods there. The room was big and it is close to the southern entrance of 'Ave of Giants'. There is a good coffee shop/bakery (Il forno) nearby. Tried coffee there. The room was clean. The owner provided a blow dryer that we asked for. All rooms were on same level.

It was good for a stop over driving from San Francisco to the Oregon coast. The guy at the front was very nice and check in was quick. Bed was ok, sheets were scratchy, but it was not expensive and it was clean and quiet. Lots of homeless walking around the town but no problems. Just like a 1950s motor lodge. I had a lot of baggage to bring inside and it was super close to my car.

This is a basic “no frills” hotel. There’s not much in the area but it was fairly quiet and the room was clean. The Mexican restaurant next door was awful … food was tasteless and my fish tacos were meh. Don’t bother. Staff at the hotel were very nice.

Great property with great owners who are fast, efficient, and kind. I stayed at a Best Western a 1/2 mile away on the same road that was disgusting and 2.5 times the price. Although no breakfast - better property in spades!

Clean and spacious room. Two walls had wood paneling that really added to the forest-like feel of our vacation. Very long wood veneer desk in great condition. A well taken care of motel. Restaurant next door was open late, with good Mexican and American food.

I was very pleasantly surprised by these accommodations. I booked it last minute and the town was pretty much sold out. It was much better than expected. The rooms are clean and updated. The staff was also very nice. I love that I could park right outside my room and it’s convenient to walk to bars and restaurants close by. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a motel in Garberville, so ... The big disappointment was no hot water. One of those times where you're sitting by the tub with handle, which has long ago lost its red and blue temperature designations, have it fully cranked one way. Wait thirty seconds that feels like five minutes. Crank it all the way the other way. Wait thirty seconds that now feels like seven minutes. While you're doing that wondering whether it is worth it to go to the management and change rooms. After ten minutes futzing with the water I gave up and decide it wasn't worth it to shower that day. What was worth it was to watch the older blonde lady outside, another renter, have her two husky dogs charge out of her room when two other dogs (on a leash) came by being walked by a local. The lady, in a kind of robe thing walked over to get her dogs, telling her 'girls' to come back. They didn't. And then the lady, to the astonishment of the dog-walker, turned around and went back to her room. Then she proceeded to cuss amazingly at someone I could not see. Then her two dogs ran off into Garberville proper. Then the lady came out with keys in one hand and a Mac laptop in the other, got into her car and started slowly driving out into Garberville. For the rest of the day I saw either her or her dogs driving/wandering around Garberville.
