Motel 6-Rhome, TX

Air conditioner was so noisy had to turn it off to get some sleep until it got too hot then ran it long enough to cool the room and turned it off again. Can’t understand why the unit was so noisy, despite being relatively new.

I didn't Like that we weren't offered a receipt and they charged us for 5 nights instead of 4.

The staff were friendly and they were very nice to my dogs. The room however was not very well taken care of. The beds were nice and clean but the furniture was cracking and damaged, the tub spout was leaking and spraying water and the bathroom was just dirty.

Oh boy. Travelers take heed. The pics of the property are manipulated (as you can see). There’s a reason for that! The lobby is unrecognizable, with the entire breakfast area completely filled with boxes and junk like an open air storage space. Vehicles in the lot that have windows blown out (car explosion?) but had personal effects in it. Men (I’m being nice here) running around half dressed and yelling at each other outside. The room was filthy. Flying bugs. Disgusting stains on sheets visible with the bed made. The toilet bowl sounded like it was going to separate and break apart. And, of course they knew the tv didn’t work. And when I went to call the desk, discovered the phone didn’t work either. Once I got the office, I was told that there was no maintenance on site to fix the tv. I packed and left immediately. Asked for an immediate check out and she manipulated the receipt as the next day check out. Hotel policy is absolutely no refunds for any reason..wonder why?!. After driving cross country and just having gotten thru Dallas, I was exhausted. But, here i was at 9:30 at night, alone, driving 15 minutes to Decatur for a clean and safe room. Do not let exhaustion cause you to make the same mistake by even stopping here. Thankfully, Expedia eased the cost somewhat. The clerk straight out lied to my face. It’s NOT safe and it’s NOT clean. Preying on weary travelers is just the most unethical and fraudulent business practice there is. BEWARE!

The hotel was VERY basic. No hair dryer, TV remote didn't work, door security was questionable. I'd never stay there again!
