Gross absolutely disgusting

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. When I first checked in, the hallway light in my room didn’t work, and the desk lamp’s power button had been smashed in. I informed the front desk, and to their credit, they immediately tried to move me to another room. The staff was genuinely courteous and did everything they could to help. Unfortunately, after trying three different rooms, the problems continued. Every room had multiple maintenance issues, including broken or missing lamp power buttons, electrical outlets that didn’t work, light switches that were inoperable, and hallway lights that wouldn’t turn on. In the third and final room, the air conditioner wasn’t working properly, and the smoke detector had a low battery that continuously chirped. During my five-day stay, housekeeping came to the room, but they never changed the sheets or bedding. They only replaced the towels and emptied the trash. Maintenance was also supposed to come replace the thermostat battery so the HVAC would function properly, but no one ever showed up. I left my contact information with the front desk for management, expecting a follow-up. Despite my entire five-day stay, I never received a phone call, a visit, or any communication from management. I was a La Quinta Gold Member, and I say was because this experience has convinced me that I won’t be staying at a La Quinta again. The one bright spot was the overnight staff. This hotel is in serious need of a thorough cleaning and overall maintenance upgrade. The carpet throughout the property looked worn and dirty, and the elevator was extremely filthy, with trash left on the floor. The first suite I was assigned was very hot because the air conditioning was not working. Fortunately, I was moved to a second room where the AC worked properly. However, I had reserved a suite and was disappointed to receive a room with double beds instead. Overall, this hotel needs better upkeep and stronger management oversight. On a positive note, the front desk receptionist was very friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay.
