Had a great stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Evening meal was fantastic. Highly recommend the local steak if it's on the specials board. Well stocked bar with a huge selection of spirits. Filled up on the full English breakfast each morning. Well worth adding that option! Outside and car park could do with a spruce up but don't let that put you off, the interior is fantastic!

Spacious room but small window looking out on rooftop so not a space to relax and enjoy particularly. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Breakfast was pretty standard. Teas and coffee from a flask. The nicer seating area is for spa guests. Spa is a separate business and treatment was lovely but you have to pay to use the sauna, steam room and hit tub. They have their own opening hours and there's no pool which you kind of expect with the Spa Hotel name. Odd location off the road and massive slightly run down park with seating out the front. Lovely on a warm day, but no garden. It's more of a conference /event hotel I would say. Nice walk to a lovely pub but hills on way back! Emporium next door.

Friendly staff and very helpful. Clean interior and comfortable, spacious bed. Amazing food, both dinner and breakfast. Loved the choice of fish on the menu. Great location for travelling in the Dorset and Somerset area. Plenty of free parking, free and easy to use WiFi.

Excellent. Nothing bad to report about this hotel. Very clean and spacious room and nice, comfortable bed. There is a huge car park and one EV charging point (un-tethered) which I didn't use on this occasion. Can't report on the restaurant as we didn't eat there.

Exterior does not give the best impression when you approach an empty car park but don't be put off, once in the hotel is well presented and the staff very helpful. Rooms are perfect for a stop off and a good breakfast.

We stayed for girlie catch up and spa. The Spa treatments and facilities were amazing and staff lovely. The hotel is an ideal base for visiting Dorset but you do need a car. The hotel facilities are spotless and restaurant and food of a great quality. What sets this apart from other hotels is the staff. From front desk, to bar staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping this is customer service at it’s best. Will do anything to help if you ask, will advise on services and places to see and all with a smile. So friendly and interactive it made you feel so welcome. Would definitely recommend.

Booked mainly to use spa area for the 2 days ! When I checked in I was told spa is closed and I was supposed to reserve and also pay £20 per 2 hours to use This was not on the booking page as I checked Food was poor very greasy and did get a bad belly ! Cancelled my next night luckily the staff was very friendly and helpful

Perfect! I needed a quiet hotel before a very early start. Staff were lovely and the place was spotless. Super quiet and just off a main road so easy access to Dorchester and beyond.

Fantastic stay, unbelievably clean and well maintained. Rooms were big, bright and furnishings seemed quite new. Food in the restaurant was lovely and plentiful. The best thing is the staff, nothing is too much trouble from reception to the bar to the restaurants to the housekeeping. All staff were lovely but Helen and Richard were particularly amazing. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This was a short break in the area of Sherborne. The hotel was the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in everywhere was spotlessly clean. We stayed B&B as they don’t have a chef midweek only at weekends but found some lovely pubs/inns nearby to try. Breakfast excellent too.

Great size room, cot provided. We were pre-warned of Christmas parties being on over the weekend and had been put further away from an potential noise, we didn't hear a thing and weren't disturbed at all.

Largely underwhelming. Room was acceptable, nothing special. Very dated, but functional. We booked this hotel due to the supposedly incredible food, but this was not the case. The evening menu was limited to the bar menu due to staff shortages, and the breakfast was incredibly basic. The hotel is very much on par with an Ibis imo. But the staff very lovely.

great hotel, extremely helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. food was excellent . stayed in a twin room i didnt sleep very well, i think the bed was too firm but i also suffer with arthritis and think that had a lot to do with it.

Very comfy bed, room was a good size & light & clean. Bathroom had both shower & bath & was clean. Did not have any charging points in the room. Breakfast was very good, however not organised in keeping items in hot section topped up so ended up not having all items.

The room was pretty standard and very clean. Bathroom was very modern, but the main suite was looking a bit dated. Bed was not as comfortable as it should have been. Breakfast was also average. Wifi was ok. We'd stay here again if visiting dorchester, yeovil or surrounding area for sure though.

Had a great first day stay. All ok. Sadly customer service after that was sadly lacking. I’d booked for two night originally. Finished meetings early and returned to the hotel to ask if I could cancel the last evening of my stay. They refused. Said they’d be keeping my money. I don’t see this as fair as it was way before the time allotted. Not helpful. As I had to leave and am out of pocket

Fantastic weekend stay. Felt like staying with friends. Food was lovely and good value. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly and welcoming staff. We were treated so well and felt completely relaxed and refreshed when we left.
Fantastic weekend stay. Felt like staying with friends. Food was lovely and good value. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly and welcoming staff. We were treated so well and felt completely relaxed and refreshed when we left.

Largely underwhelming. Room was acceptable, nothing special. Very dated, but functional. We booked this hotel due to the supposedly incredible food, but this was not the case. The evening menu was limited to the bar menu due to staff shortages, and the breakfast was incredibly basic. The hotel is very much on par with an Ibis imo. But the staff very lovely.

great hotel, extremely helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. food was excellent . stayed in a twin room i didnt sleep very well, i think the bed was too firm but i also suffer with arthritis and think that had a lot to do with it.

Spacious room but small window looking out on rooftop so not a space to relax and enjoy particularly. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Breakfast was pretty standard. Teas and coffee from a flask. The nicer seating area is for spa guests. Spa is a separate business and treatment was lovely but you have to pay to use the sauna, steam room and hit tub. They have their own opening hours and there's no pool which you kind of expect with the Spa Hotel name. Odd location off the road and massive slightly run down park with seating out the front. Lovely on a warm day, but no garden. It's more of a conference /event hotel I would say. Nice walk to a lovely pub but hills on way back! Emporium next door.

The hotel was very nice and of a high standard very welcoming staff. The outside was not very appealing, especially when arriving i saw highway trucks parked.And the flower beds vey overgrown. I didn't realise how from from the neareat Town was,and no bus service available, i let to go for a walk evening's and enjoy local atmosphere. Not available here im afraid.

What an absolute gem! Nice quiet location for a short commute to Dorchester with excellent fresh clean big room and even better customer service. I stayed for work but they have nice SPA facilities for couples and families so a great opportunity to relax and have some peace and quiet.

I wanted to take my granddaughter to Weymouth, it’s about 15 miles outside of Weymouth bay but there is plenty of parking at the bay. The hotel was lovely and all the staff were friendly, however it wasn’t ideal for my trip as I didn’t really want to drive into Weymouth.

Had a great stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Evening meal was fantastic. Highly recommend the local steak if it's on the specials board. Well stocked bar with a huge selection of spirits. Filled up on the full English breakfast each morning. Well worth adding that option! Outside and car park could do with a spruce up but don't let that put you off, the interior is fantastic!

Booked mainly to use spa area for the 2 days ! When I checked in I was told spa is closed and I was supposed to reserve and also pay £20 per 2 hours to use This was not on the booking page as I checked Food was poor very greasy and did get a bad belly ! Cancelled my next night luckily the staff was very friendly and helpful

The room was pretty standard and very clean. Bathroom was very modern, but the main suite was looking a bit dated. Bed was not as comfortable as it should have been. Breakfast was also average. Wifi was ok. We'd stay here again if visiting dorchester, yeovil or surrounding area for sure though.

The hotel was amazing. I especially liked NOT having an adjoining room, and the room was so quiet. Great that they had air conditioning too. All the supplies in the room were restocked every day. The sheets on the bed were of great quality, as were the towels. We had fresh water bottles every day plus there was a filtered water dispenser down the corridor.

A very pleasant and convenient base for a short Dorset stay. Room very clean and comfortable and usefully a restaurant and bar on site if you didn't want to go out to eat. Good comprehensive breakfast offering too, Our room did look out over adjacent building rooftops -not great - maybe request more open view room. There was a very active mini race track adjacent too but noise stopped early evening - you can see that on Google Earth. Overall, with great staff and good value we would use again happily
