Moonlight Inn

My 2 night stay at the Moonlight Inn was excellent and problem-free. I was welcomed at the office and quickly checked in at an extremely reasonable rate. My room had a clean, King Size, comfortable bed, a refrigerator, coffee maker, TV and small table with 2 chairs. The carpet was stain-free. The bathroom had a double sink and shower that was strong with plenty of hot water. I appreciated driving in and parking right in front of my room. I highly recommend staying at the Moonlight Inn when you're in Brunswick, Maine.

The property is older, but clean, quiet, easy parking, comfortable bed and everything you need in the room. The staff was always available and very helpful. The room was good value for the money. We were in the area for a wedding and it was the perfect location for us.

Clean, quiet, everything worked, just an older motel

The staff was very nice. The room was a bit dingy. Very comfortable though and cool. There wasn't an additional inside door lock. The window curtain in the bathroom was dirty, but not important to me. There were ants in the bathroom, just a couple. It was right off the highway, but with A/C on wasn't noticeable. It was quaint and not the worst place I've stayed. The laundry was not open. A bummer as that is one of the reasons we stayed, but there is a place down the road a mile or two that wasn't busy.

Not clean at all. Looked like the door was broken into. Asked receptionist where to eat dinner. He did not understand our question. The best part was in had a washer and dryer.

Older motel no soundproofing, our room was right next to the laundry facilities which were accessible during the night and seasonal workers used them at night.

Parking was good room was clean

It's a motel, so you shouldn't expect a really nice place. However, there were some serious issues. When I turned on the light, my wife immediately saw a cockroach scurry under the refrigerator (Yuck!). There were oily fingerprints all over the metal panel by the light on the bed, so not cleaned well. We did not walk without our shoes on the floor, or take a shower. The soap did indeed leave a film on your hands. There was an odd slow (deep powerful) creaking as if the foundation was twisting, but that was covered up by phone noise. There was also a dirty shifty guy who was riding his bike with a 6 pack of beer around the parking lot, and seemed to live in one of the rooms, hanging out with his buddy and talking loudly early in the morning and late at night. All that said, the sheets seemed recently changed and the beds were reasonably comfortable, which brought them up from having a one star. Probably best to spend the extra $$ if you can spare it and avoid this place (we stayed there to save a $100 because the areas can get expensive - next time, I'll pay to stay somewhere else!).

Desk attendant at check-in didn’t make eye contact with us and acted as if he was miserable in his job. The room was dated and dirty. As I closed the curtain something dried up fell off and the bathroom floor was dirty. Carpet so nasty we didn’t even want to walk on it WITH shoes on. Door had flimsy handle lock with no security latch or secondary deadbolt. We ended up with the makeshift added security of propping desk chair under door handle. Man outside our door was screaming at someone promptly at 6:00 am. The bed was comfortable but sheets were like sandpaper. People sitting outside their doors smoking which filtered into our room. We were on the top floor but surrounding noise made it seem like elephants were walking above us. Nasty place to stay with unfriendly desk staff, avoid this one.

Bathroom door stuck. Shower fixture cracked. Mold on ceiling tile. Tub looked dirty. Won't be staying there again

The room was disgusting, but it was late and we had no choice. The price was completely outrageous. The facility was completely rundown and a dump. Found a package from a dildo in the nightstand the next morning. I guess the cleaning crew missed it.

I would give 0 stars if possible. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable. We gave a heads up we were travelling with our infant and needed a clean room - the response to us was “understood.” We checked in after dark and pulling up it looked okay from the outside. Upon opening the door there was a horrible overpowering smell as if they were trying to cover up the staleness. There was mould all over the bathroom shower and ceiling, mould in the curtains above the air conditioner. I feared our health and left the exchanger off. The carpet was cut and tore away from the wall, and it gave “there was a body here but we replaces a section of carpet” vibes. Spiders in the corners, and the door deadbolt system had me putting chairs and luggage up against the door knob. I’m not sure why the handle was covered in seran wrap but immediately thought of crimes and preventing fingerprints. A 20$ toilet seat is too much of an upgrade. The outlet in the bathroom didn’t work. The sketchy panting on the wall looked like it was covering a secret hole. We snuggled our infant with one eye open, as it was late and no where to go and we RAN at 5am out of there. the couple at the desk didnt speak good English, but did give our refund for the second night we had booked thankfully. I wouldnt stay again, even if it was free. Great location - but gut and renovate!

Disappointed with the dirty carpet full of stains. The box spring was encased in a white sheet that was brown with dirt and stains.

Motel is conveniently located, clean, and comfortable. Check-in and out were seamless. But the motel is feet from Rt. 1, a busy highway, and there was some traffic noise.

Old, poorly repainted, squeaky uncomfortable bed

Hotel is old and needs attention. Dirty carpet, stained doors, baseboard heaters rusty, just needs lots of attention. Could be so many ch better.

Parfait pour y dormir une nuit. J’ai séjourné pour couper la route en deux d’un voyage. Emplacement TRÈS propre. Personnel accueillant. Mes 2 points faibles sont l’insonorisation. Nous entendions TOUT que ce soit au dessus de nous ou à côté. Difficile de dormir. Lors du paiement la machine ne fonctionnait pas bien ce qui a bloqué ma carte de crédit après multiples tentatives.Carte de débit impossible à utiliser également.

Nice sized room. Easy check in. Other than the condition of the carpet, very clean room and recenntly refreshed.

TV didn’t work, no alarm clock, bed was very uncomfortable

This place is a pretty good place overall, but the bed was so incredibly uncomfortable that I wouldn't want to stay here again.

The room was okay. It smelled really musty when we arrived and we had to air it out. It needed fresh air .

Convenient to downtown. Wifi was garbage.

This hotel is our go to place - handy to the high way and downtown Brunswick, and a great price. The staff is so kind and friendly. My husband forgot his travel kit when we left, and they agreed to send it to us. We appreciate the cleanliness and excellent service. Hope to return again soon.

Reasonable prices, great staff

Came up to the area for an event and this was a good reasonably priced option. The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. The property could use a bit of maintenance is looking a bit tired. And while everything was clean, the walls needed to be wiped down and were smudged and dirty in the bathroom area. However, overall, it was was a good value for the price.

Check in was great. I came in after 10, and got into my room immediately. Sam was courteous and efficient.

Don't bother. The place is in terrible condition, and our room wreaked of some sort of overpowering coverup-perfume deodorizer. When we arrived, our key-card didn't work. When I went to checkout at 10:30 AM—you must checkout by 11:00 AM—the office door was locked. Apparently, the desk personnel must live there because a father-daughter team emerged from nearby, having taken notice of me at the office door. Finally, when I handed him my key-card and announced my final departure he was confused. Oh, brother, you'd be better off pitching a tent.

This place was nice, we were traveling through on a family road trip looking for hotels that won’t break the bank. This is a basic older hotel but it’s cute, right off the highway. The staff was super nice and helpful.

Price and location was good for us, like a lot of other people had stated you had to be careful entering the driveway, can be tricky.

Clean , comfortable , easy access to the highway

A little tricky getting to it off the main highway. It isn't a 5 star joint but provides good value for the money.

Easy check in & check out. Very clean, well light and room was very big. Could have held young family with up to 4 kids even. Very convenient to Bowdoin College

Convenient to downtown. Wifi was garbage.

The location is great. Short drive to downtown Brunswick and since it’s right off the highway also a short drive to anywhere off 95. There was a roach and two other bugs in the room, but the manager was willing to move us, but did not offer a discount because it was booked on Expedia. Found no bugs in the new room.

Nice and clean. Great convenient location

It was expensive for the quality. Looking out the window there was trash. The room was damp and smelled like insect spray. The place was badly in need of updating. The reception folks were friendly and recommended a good restaurant. There was a microwave in the room which was very useful. The location was fine.

Quiet but really close to dinning and shopping

Overpriced! They offer breakfast but when you ask for they tell you they don’t have breakfast but that you have a coffee maker in the room. I would consider others options, before comeback here
