Gorgeous property surrounding a crystal clear inlet with few waves. Villa was spacious, clean, with top class amenities. Staff service was excellent throughout the experience. I loved that there were a plethora of marine activities that were free to for use throughout the day. Special experiences like the "floating breakfast" was well worth the cost. The only thing to note is that while the F&B is very good quality, it was not stunning compared to the overall quality of the property.

We spent a week at Banyan Tree Koh Samui in late October to early November for a couples’ escape, and it was exactly what we hoped for. Our Pool Villa was beautiful and spotless, with plenty of privacy, an easy 5/5. Service was the standout. Tak and the team seemed to read our minds: they remembered our coffee order and offered it the moment we sat down to breakfast; after an Elephant Sanctuary visit left our shoes muddy, someone immediately offered to clean them; and when we asked for an ice bucket one evening, they kept topping it up without us ever having to ask again. Truly top notch and worthy of 5/5. Breakfast overall was very good (4/5), with lots of fresh, high quality fruit and a solid variety. Compared with similar luxury resorts it is just shy of exceptional; a couple more made to order or rotating signature items would push it over the top. The beach setup and service were great too, easy to get loungers and quick help when needed. We also used the gym a lot and it was always clean and ready to go, with everything neatly stocked. Check in and check out were smooth, the buggy service around the resort was efficient, and WiFi worked perfectly throughout our stay. All in, we loved the calm vibe and the thoughtful touches from Tak and the team. We would happily come back. Villa 5/5, Service 5/5, Breakfast 4/5.

The beach is not the best for swimming because it’s quite rocky and drops off quickly. The spa treatments are great. The pools and villas are beautiful. Really enjoyed the rain shower in the villa.

Property is tugged away from the main road after a long narrow street with many unassuming lots and businesses. The entrance is relatively inconspicuous like other resorts in the area. Guarded security is a plus. Once inside the resorts, it feels safe and insulated from the outside. Naturally, in and out of the facility would be a hike and could be exhausting. Quiet and safe all over the resort ground. Golf carts were primary transportation for guests and staff. Ground was clean with lots of shades from trees and vegetations. Comfortable to walk about. Steep at places. Beach and main pool areas were well kept and supported by a super attentive crews. Spa was clean, organized with soft ambience. Staff was skilled and world class. Villas was well kept. While maintained yet signs of dating were showing. Lighting, air conditioning, and water flow/pressure were wonderful. There had been a few power interruptions during our stay. Limited access to the outside confined culinary experience. Eating at the 3 dining facilities was pretty much the only choices. My biggest disappointment was my misguided expectation in seafood quality. Considering Samui is surrounded by water. I falsely thought fresh, sweet seafood can be found in such paradise, not so. Lobster, tiger pawns, oysters, scallops, squids, and fishes, flavorless and overcooked. Stayed 9 nights to celebrate our 35th anniversary and a birthday. Anniversary dinner made at Saffron, no staff congratulated us, really?

A cabana style layout. Great privacy and transport shuttles were always available and often pre- scheduled by our personal concierge. Away from the busy city area but was easy to get transport. We dined at the Four Seasons for a White Lotus fix but enjoyed the fine dining more at the BT both in flavor and value. We had a private pool suite and enjoyed swims any time. Recommend and will stay again if we return. Friendly staff made us feel special.

Check in was easy and great. They provided a welcome drink and snack. The staff was very friendly throughout the whole stay. The room was nice and clean. I really liked the room as it was kind of by itself up on the hill. Having the pool just outside the room was great and the hot tub was amazing, especially at night. The property was always being cleaned and the grounds were very clean also. Breakfast was good with the buffet, room service also made good food. Overall this was a great property and would go back

The property is nicely surrounded by nature. The place was very clean and well taken care off. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We and also our 10 year old daughter appreciated the following: the variety of programs at the kids club, the private pool, the buggy service, the food, the massages and the great view from the villa (hillcrest). If you are looking for a very special and relaxing experience than we recommend the hotel. Big thank you to all the staff - you did an amazing job👍

We’ve just returned from a 1 week stay at the Banyan Tree Samui. It is a wonderful hotel. Before we booked we looked at reviews and were a little worried about things others had highlighted such as being overlooked or the level of maintenance. Honestly, I’m not sure why other reviewers made such comments! The first point about being overlooked is moot, the villas are so well laid out that you would only be overlooked if someone had binoculars at hand! The maintenance point, every day we saw people maintaining the villas, the common areas, the focus on keeping the villas in top condition is visible! As for specifics of our experience, from the size of the villa, to the breakfast, activities, food to the staff, we would give all 5 stars. We would specifically like to call out a few people, firstly Golf, he is an absolute asset to the group. He was amazing in his engagement, communication and just general customer service. We felt so happy to have his support during our stay. As it was our anniversary my husband planned a private dinner at the beach. We were fortunate to have Melon helping us that day and she was absolutely fabulous. Her customer service skills were exceptional, she never interrupted or intruded on our meal but was there when we needed her! She also took some beautiful pictures which we weren’t expecting - these little details matter when you stay somewhere like the Banyan Tree. All in all just a lovely experience and we cannot recommend the property enough!!

We spent a week at Banyan Tree Koh Samui in late October to early November for a couples’ escape, and it was exactly what we hoped for. Truly top notch and worthy of 5/5. Breakfast overall was very good (4/5), with lots of fresh, high quality fruit and a solid variety. Compared with similar luxury resorts it is just shy of exceptional; a couple more made to order or rotating signature items would push it over the top. The beach setup and service were great too, easy to get loungers and quick help when needed. We also used the gym a lot and it was always clean and ready to go, with everything neatly stocked. Check in and check out were smooth, the buggy service around the resort was efficient, and WiFi worked perfectly throughout our stay. A cabana style layout. Great privacy and transport shuttles were always available and often pre- scheduled by our personal concierge. Away from the busy city area but was easy to get transport. We dined at the Four Seasons for a White Lotus fix but enjoyed the fine dining more at the BT both in flavor and value. We had a private pool suite and enjoyed swims any time. Recommend and will stay again if we return. Friendly staff made us feel special.

Excellent experience. All staff is courteous and attentive. Views are amazing from the room. Decent dining options inside. Staff helped me fix my luggage that broke while being handled on the airport. they picked it up in my room, got it somewhere to be fixed and returned to me like new. Fix price was very cheap as I was considering buying a new one already.

Property is tugged away from the main road after a long narrow street with many unassuming lots and businesses. The entrance is relatively inconspicuous like other resorts in the area. Guarded security is a plus. Once inside the resorts, it feels safe and insulated from the outside. Naturally, in and out of the facility would be a hike and could be exhausting. Quiet and safe all over the resort ground. Golf carts were primary transportation for guests and staff. Ground was clean with lots of shades from trees and vegetations. Comfortable to walk about. Steep at places. Beach and main pool areas were well kept and supported by a super attentive crews. Spa was clean, organized with soft ambience. Staff was skilled and world class. Villas was well kept. While maintained yet signs of dating were showing. Lighting, air conditioning, and water flow/pressure were wonderful. There had been a few power interruptions during our stay. Limited access to the outside confined culinary experience. Eating at the 3 dining facilities was pretty much the only choices. My biggest disappointment was my misguided expectation in seafood quality. Considering Samui is surrounded by water. I falsely thought fresh, sweet seafood can be found in such paradise, not so. Lobster, tiger pawns, oysters, scallops, squids, and fishes, flavorless and overcooked. Stayed 9 nights to celebrate our 35th anniversary and a birthday. Anniversary dinner made at Saffron, no staff congratulated us, really?

I loved that there were a plethora of marine activities that were free to for use throughout the day. Special experiences like the "floating breakfast" was well worth the cost. The only thing to note is that while the F&B is very good quality, it was not stunning compared to the overall quality of the property.

We spent a week at Banyan Tree Koh Samui in late October to early November for a couples’ escape, and it was exactly what we hoped for. Our Pool Villa was beautiful and spotless, with plenty of privacy, an easy 5/5. Service was the standout. Tak and the team seemed to read our minds: they remembered our coffee order and offered it the moment we sat down to breakfast; after an Elephant Sanctuary visit left our shoes muddy, someone immediately offered to clean them; and when we asked for an ice bucket one evening, they kept topping it up without us ever having to ask again. Truly top notch and worthy of 5/5. Breakfast overall was very good (4/5), with lots of fresh, high quality fruit and a solid variety. Compared with similar luxury resorts it is just shy of exceptional; a couple more made to order or rotating signature items would push it over the top. The beach setup and service were great too, easy to get loungers and quick help when needed. We also used the gym a lot and it was always clean and ready to go, with everything neatly stocked. Check in and check out were smooth, the buggy service around the resort was efficient, and WiFi worked perfectly throughout our stay. All in, we loved the calm vibe and the thoughtful touches from Tak and the team. We would happily come back. Villa 5/5, Service 5/5, Breakfast 4/5.

Property is tugged away from the main road after a long narrow street with many unassuming lots and businesses. The entrance is relatively inconspicuous like other resorts in the area. Guarded security is a plus. Once inside the resorts, it feels safe and insulated from the outside. Naturally, in and out of the facility would be a hike and could be exhausting. Quiet and safe all over the resort ground. Golf carts were primary transportation for guests and staff. Ground was clean with lots of shades from trees and vegetations. Comfortable to walk about. Steep at places. Beach and main pool areas were well kept and supported by a super attentive crews. Spa was clean, organized with soft ambience. Staff was skilled and world class. Villas was well kept. While maintained yet signs of dating were showing. Lighting, air conditioning, and water flow/pressure were wonderful. There had been a few power interruptions during our stay. Limited access to the outside confined culinary experience. Eating at the 3 dining facilities was pretty much the only choices. My biggest disappointment was my misguided expectation in seafood quality. Considering Samui is surrounded by water. I falsely thought fresh, sweet seafood can be found in such paradise, not so. Lobster, tiger pawns, oysters, scallops, squids, and fishes, flavorless and overcooked. Stayed 9 nights to celebrate our 35th anniversary and a birthday. Anniversary dinner made at Saffron, no staff congratulated us, really?

The area is spectacular with an amazing private beach. The villa was private and well maintained. The service was great with super friendly staff. The restaurants and common areas wasn’t crowded so you could enjoy a peaceful experience. The gym however was relatively small and the treadmills were often occupied. Overall a beautiful, luxurious and relaxing stay.
