We had looked forward to a special celebratory evening. We were greeted in the room by complimentary macaroons & drinks. The TV wasn't working and after a 2nd failed visit by the technician, the receptionist immediately upgraded us to a superior suite. Chocolates & bubbly were sent to the room. It was our one evening there and we felt very special. The pool and spa area feels luxurious. We opted to have breakfast in the beautiful high celing booking office. The food was great and the setting incredible. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

It was a good relaxing trip. The highlight, as always is the staff, who are friendly, efficient and accomodating. The pool is always a standout glory as well. It is the cleanest pool in London with sexy dark lighting that makes it so relaxing. The hotel is an event in itself, lots of spectacle and free things to enjoy at different specific historic times. I loved the punch ceremony especially. Breakfast was particularly lovely and well organised. I definitely enjoyed my time here though wish I had booked a higher grade room for even more luxury...that said the fainting couch in my room made it perfect.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Great service, staff at St Pancras Renaniance friendly, attentive and accommodating. The restaurant the Booking Office is just wonderful great ambience and decor, notbtonmentuon rhe food. Gym is state of the art. Spa looks great unfortunately only used the swimming pool and gym.

Rooms need up dating, peeling vaneer on furniture. Rooms are very basic and small. Spa is tiny. The hotel is a letdown. The restaurant wasn't open on sunday. Not worth the money at all.

Very lovely stay at St. Pancras Renaissance hotel. Staff were great, friendly and attentive. Spa was lovely and relaxing. Best massage i've ever had! Booking office restaurant was great too.

Great Hotel and great location. Beautiful heritage and architecture. I would have given this review a 5 star but I only have one complaints - there was a bad smell to all the towels and hallways. Unusual but I am curious if someone else felt the same.

We loved the convenience of the location. We traveled from Paris on Eurostar and it was wonderful to be able to roll our luggage directly into the hotel and freshen up without having to call a car for transport. The service was excellent. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Our only complaint would be the smell in the corridor leading to Barlow House. The strong stench from the bathroom in the hallway was intolerable and disgusting. It was reminiscent of the horrible odor in the bathroom trenches found in China. Since our room was located in Barlow House, we had to walk down that corridor to get to the elevator to get to our room. We dreaded that walk, and the fact that the odor also gets trapped in the elevator on the ride. It negated our otherwise positive experience and left us with a bad impression of our stay. Please correct this odor issue for the benefit of all.

The good thing about the room it is quite big but the bad thing is that it smell like moldy and I wouldn’t stay there again because of that. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very nice. Breakfast was very good. I would come back only for food, unfortunately not to stay.

From the moment we arrived we knew the experience would be special. Check-in was just lovely, with a group of engaging, warm individuals who never lost sight of their professionalism. That continued throughout our stay with every staff member we encountered, always providing unconditional commitment to service, without ever being forced or false. Our room and the entire hotel were immaculate. Excellent menu choices for both dinner and breakfast, combining tradition with outstanding equality. Impossible to fault, thank you.

The St. Pancras Hotel looks very impressive on the outside and is of course a major London landmark. The inside, however, needs some upgrading. The hotel lobby looks very grand, but skimps on customer service: there is no porter outside to help with luggage. The concierge desks have large, prominent space in the front of the lobby but never seem to be staffed. The check-in stations are relegated to the side of the lobby, along with couches crammed into a narrow alley to make space for the bar and drinks area in the middle of the lobby, forcing guests to queue up in the narrow space afforded them while dodging waiters and other guests going by. The hotel room is clean and spacious, but looks like a throw back to a 1990s room with old carpet that smells strongly of cleaning products, furniture whose laminate is peeling off in large chunks, a bathroom door that's on a spring that won't stay open, no ventilation in the bathroom, and very old fashioned bathtub/shower combo that has one of those glass half doors that never do much to shield water splash but make getting in and out of the steep bathtub difficult. The window overlooking the Eurostar platform in the St Pancras station is sort of cool, but is quite dirty and the constant noise from the station makes going to sleep a bit difficult. All of this for over $500 a night does not really live up to Marriott's usual standards. Staff are very friendly, which is a bright spot of an otherwise forgettable stay.

I canceled my second booking. This hotel is of course making the most of its location and gorgeous facade. But there was tape over buttons in the lift, one door clearly not working properly as it would nearly not open, the room had a tear in the couch and carpet (with stains) and something was still stuck to the toilet seat. The tissue box had a total of 5 tissues in it. Room service comes with a £5(!) tray fee then an addition percentage service fee, wifi is £15(!) per day. The staff were amazing, going to the extent of bringing up a small fridge as I had perishable items, but I’m still waiting on the box of tissues…

There was an incredibly pungent smell in the hallway on the floor we were staying in that was pretty overwhelming and during the night the air vent pushed out another weird but sweeter smell something like you’d see in a Vegas hotel or Disney when they pump “smells” into the air. We booked the hotel as we had dinner reservations at the Booking Office and Gothic Bar. About 2hrs before we arrived the Gothic Bar cancelled our reservation due to a private event and the food and service at the Booking Office was just terrible. The reason I’m sharing this is because you are cobranded with both establishments and it just looks really bad. I should not have had to leave the hotel to get a decent meal and a drink at another bar. Not what I was expecting from an establishment that’s considered a higher end property. I would love to chat with someone about this if there’s an opportunity. I’m not even sure who to talk to about the Booking Office experience and the substandard food and service - which included one of our party having to go to the bar to get a glass of water and wine as they forgot to come back after bringing us a drink menu. All of it was pretty disappointing.

The staff was not friendly or helpful at all, no info was given, no one answered the phones, room wasn’t very clean, house keeping did not come, was very disappointing especially with how pricy it was. Wouldn’t stay here or recommend in the future. Needs updating also

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Beautiful, historic property, but my premium king was essentially an interior room facing the train station giving no natural light or privacy, and the mattress was the firmest I've ever encountered anywhere in my life.

The welcome was amazing and the downstairs facilities were fabulous. The deluxe rooms were a bit underwhelming and did not live up to expectations. No extra pillows, biscuits for tea and decor and furnishings like a premier inn. After seeing downstairs I expected better especially for the cost

We changed our room for one that was acceptable- but at this price not reasonable. The first room was pitch dark, internal - no outside window, looked into stacked chairs and other furniture. We were told this room was a grade above what we had booked. We had paid for an upgrade already - so if this is 2 rooms above basic we’re astounded. We stayed here years ago and it was a luxury. I booked for my husband’s birthday this year - it really wasn’t worth the money. The spa facilities are nice - but we were told we couldn’t use them in the morning as lifeguard training was taking place. Not acceptable when you pay £320 for one single night - you can’t check in until 3 and need to be out by 11 - so in fact 20 hours. When we wanted to check out we waited too long - we asked until the 4th member of staff would help. The others told us to wait as they checked guests in (remember you can’t check in until 3 … this was just after 11…) I wouldn’t recommend - absolutely not 5* - had a more luxurious stay recently in the 3* Copthorne in Kensington for half the price.

Magnificent building, lobby and bar / breakfast area with fantastic view across to the Eurostar platforms. Staff incredibly friendly and attentive. Rooms in the modern block are clean and comfortable but not as splendid as the old part of the building. Overall, throughly recommended.

Cleanliness was good. The charging outlets and TV did not work properly either. There were no outlets in the bathroom to use for the hair dryer. The window was very small which provided a limited natural light source. The images on the site are misleading, presenting much larger windows. Location of hotel is good, close walking distance to train and tube station.

The St. Pancras Hotel looks very impressive on the outside and is of course a major London landmark. The inside, however, needs some upgrading. The hotel lobby looks very grand, but skimps on customer service: there is no porter outside to help with luggage. The concierge desks have large, prominent space in the front of the lobby but never seem to be staffed. The check-in stations are relegated to the side of the lobby, along with couches crammed into a narrow alley to make space for the bar and drinks area in the middle of the lobby, forcing guests to queue up in the narrow space afforded them while dodging waiters and other guests going by. The hotel room is clean and spacious, but looks like a throw back to a 1990s room with old carpet that smells strongly of cleaning products, furniture whose laminate is peeling off in large chunks, a bathroom door that's on a spring that won't stay open, no ventilation in the bathroom, and very old fashioned bathtub/shower combo that has one of those glass half doors that never do much to shield water splash but make getting in and out of the steep bathtub difficult. The window overlooking the Eurostar platform in the St Pancras station is sort of cool, but is quite dirty and the constant noise from the station makes going to sleep a bit difficult. All of this for over $500 a night does not really live up to Marriott's usual standards. Staff are very friendly, which is a bright spot of an otherwise forgettable stay.

Gorgeous building both exterior and interior. Loved being near the train station, many stores for snacks/coffee, light shopping. Underground stop couldn’t have been closer. The room was very basic, felt like a budget hotel. Bed was hard as a rock. Did have a Nespresso machine and robes/slippers for use. I did not feel the room was worth the price paid. We paid for “Deluxe Room, Non Smoking (Barlow Wing)”

Amazing opportunity to look inside this fantastic building - take a look at the grand staircase. We stayed in one of the modern rooms which was nicely appointed and quite large. Tricky to get the lights to do what you want and the aircon controls were a bit strange. I had it turned off as it is quite loud and it came on of its own accord half way through the night... Also a very bright floor level light in the bathroom that you can't turn off at night and only dims when you leave the room. Breakfast was nothing special, buffet quite ordinary, cooked to order arrived quickly but mine wasn't nice at all - too much salt in the scrambled egg, not crispy bacon and soggy mushrooms. Still, super convenient for Eurostar and a joy to be in such stunning surroundings.

I stayed here in early May and am still dealing with unresolved issues in July. The hotel charged both me and the third-party platform for my stay, and it took multiple follow-ups before they realised their mistake. Every time I pointed out an error, their first response was to deny it rather than investigate. When I requested a receipt, it took three separate attempts before I received the correct one – only after calling and confirming every line item. They also charged me an additional accommodation fee, which they again initially denied before finally agreeing to refund. Throughout this entire process, the hotel made numerous operational errors and never provided any proactive updates, despite repeatedly promising to do so. They offered Bonvoy points as a goodwill gesture but, even weeks after confirming my refund, I have yet to receive them. For a five-star hotel, the lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend staying here if you expect reliable service and efficient issue resolution.

This was an amazing stay. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Gordon on concierge booked a table at a recommended restaurant before I even turned round! Comfortable room and bed. Great shower Breakfast excellent. Excellent location close to King’s Cross and St Pancras stations. Would stay again

Check-in was a nightmare. Room wasn't ready. We were moved to a different room which wasn't suitable. Had to make numerous visits to the front desk. One 'gentleman' was incredibly unhelpful and awkward. They actually gave us a bottle of sparkling wine as an apology and then took it away when we left the room briefly. Pictures on Expedia's website do not match the actual suite I booked. Bathroom was tiny. I'd actually dispute it was a 'suite.' Basically a slightly larger room. Chambers Club was OK although the food offerings were pretty limited. Extremely expensive for the room provided. Could have stayed at The Dorchester for less money.

The service was terrible. I shelled out a lot of money to stay in this expensive hotel with my daughter, and it was such a waste. When I checked in, I was told my bags would be sent directly to my room (I wasn't even asked about this or given the option to take my bags myself, which we could easily have done), but they never came even after repeated enquiries. I finally went down after about an hour and got them myself. The spa was too crowded and we were told not to use the lockers as they were full. The water in the shower in the evening was lukewarm and not hot, so we couldn't even enjoy a hot shower at night before bed. When I checked out, nobody came to help me with my bags until I was out of the hotel and my Uber driver had arrived and he could help put my bag in the trunk. It was only then that someone from the hotel came up to me to offer help with my bag (obviously hoping for a tip), but by then, I was so disappointed that I told him not to bother. Overall, it was a lousy stay. I feel so cheated.

It’s a beautiful building with some stunning features but I honestly can’t say anything good about the service. There was a mixup on checkin that caused our room not to be ready until 4:30; the waiters and bartenders in the bar were rude and inattentive and most of the doormen didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Very disappointing stay. We did have one very kind person who checked us out; we appreciated that. We loved our room in the old part of the building with its view of the train station and high ceilings but one of the tv’s didn’t work and the finishes need a refresh.

From the moment we arrived we knew the experience would be special. Check-in was just lovely, with a group of engaging, warm individuals who never lost sight of their professionalism. That continued throughout our stay with every staff member we encountered, always providing unconditional commitment to service, without ever being forced or false. Our room and the entire hotel were immaculate. Excellent menu choices for both dinner and breakfast, combining tradition with outstanding equality. Impossible to fault, thank you.

Having gained reward credit from Hotels.com I booked the room for a bargain price.The reception didn’t realise this and charged my card the full amount,until I reminded him and I was refunded. That was the only complication of an excellent stay.

For the price tag and its reputation, I expected this hotel to provide exceptional service. It was lack luster at best. It started immediately at check-in. The receptionist handed Me the key to the room without sharing where anything was. This hotel is massage and I had to ask where the elevators were and where I could find the amenities. I would say this should be basic customer service. I ordered room service (a sandwich, etc) and was told to call to let them know that I was finished with my tray. I ate half of my sandwich and decided to eat the remainder later that evening. I left the room for a little bit, but upon my return, my food was gone. I had not asked them to remove my food. Upon my return to the states, I see some additional pending charges on my account that were not in my bill when I checked out. I expect for this to be an issue that I will need to address soon. I am so disappointed by the service at this hotel. Although historic and beautiful, I am hard pressed to recommend it to anyone.

Excellent location with access to all means of transportation including the Eurostar train at St Pancras International and most subway lines at Kings Cross station. This hotel is a hub for someone who wants to move around and get know all of London. Staff is friendly, service excellent, price affordable and food delicious. Their restaurant named Booking Office 1869 is elegant and stylish. You can also enjoy food and relax at their indoor patio or an outdoor terrace. They have a spa too. This hotel is one of the best things in London.

We loved our stay. We chose a quiet room over a view room. Our room was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The Booking Room bar and restaurant is one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. The colors and lighting were so pretty! We picked this hotel for its close proximity to the St. Pancras train station for our trip London to Paris by rail. Fantastic choice! You walk right out of the hotel and into the station. Highly recommend!

It was a good relaxing trip. The highlight, as always is the staff, who are friendly, efficient and accomodating. The pool is always a standout glory as well. It is the cleanest pool in London with sexy dark lighting that makes it so relaxing. The hotel is an event in itself, lots of spectacle and free things to enjoy at different specific historic times. I loved the punch ceremony especially. Breakfast was particularly lovely and well organised. I definitely enjoyed my time here though wish I had booked a higher grade room for even more luxury...that said the fainting couch in my room made it perfect.

Our chief reason for choosing the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel is its location - being within St Pancras station itself makes it spectacularly convenient if connecting to trains from there, most notably the Eurostar. The Hotel itself is well appointed, with a good range of breakfast available. On this occasion we also enjoyed Tea with very acceptable Scones with Jam & Cream in the cafe area opposite reception. Overall, we would certainly use the hotel again if connecting onto transport from St Pancras.

Fantastic, iconic hotel in a great location. Epic size and stature, amazing reception and bar architecture. Lovely staff and vibrant atmosphere. Restaurant food was delicious, although continental and cooked breakfast was disappointing given the quality of food at restaurant the previous night. Definitely stay at hotel again, maybe have breakfast elsewhere
Fantastic, iconic hotel in a great location. Epic size and stature, amazing reception and bar architecture. Lovely staff and vibrant atmosphere. Restaurant food was delicious, although continental and cooked breakfast was disappointing given the quality of food at restaurant the previous night. Definitely stay at hotel again, maybe have breakfast elsewhere

There was an incredibly pungent smell in the hallway on the floor we were staying in that was pretty overwhelming and during the night the air vent pushed out another weird but sweeter smell something like you’d see in a Vegas hotel or Disney when they pump “smells” into the air. We booked the hotel as we had dinner reservations at the Booking Office and Gothic Bar. About 2hrs before we arrived the Gothic Bar cancelled our reservation due to a private event and the food and service at the Booking Office was just terrible. The reason I’m sharing this is because you are cobranded with both establishments and it just looks really bad. I should not have had to leave the hotel to get a decent meal and a drink at another bar. Not what I was expecting from an establishment that’s considered a higher end property. I would love to chat with someone about this if there’s an opportunity. I’m not even sure who to talk to about the Booking Office experience and the substandard food and service - which included one of our party having to go to the bar to get a glass of water and wine as they forgot to come back after bringing us a drink menu. All of it was pretty disappointing.

The tv kept freezing and our breakfast was a disaster. Waited over 1hour for food which was cold with burnt as well as a un cooked toast. We were celebrating a special occasion which was ruined. The staff were great and helpful but the hotel needs to provide a decent service. Not even worth a 3 star

Room was scruffy , I asked if the luggage could be taken to the room once ready having booked a suite. Never happened. We were only 1hr early !! Breakfast very slow and over done. Looking a very tired hotel only interested in your cash

The staff at the hotel go out of their way to help you and are very hard-working. Overall it is a gorgeous hotel, I would just mention a couple of things that could be polished - we arrived at 1pm and checked-in, although the room wasn't ready yet, but instead of taking our bags to the room before we got back at 6pm we had to wait at reception for them when we got back. We explained that we'd take them up ourselves as we wanted to go out again soon afterwards, and were assured they would be sent up quickly which was great, but half an hour later there was still no sign, and we had to ring down. I also don't think there's enough room at the check-in desks as there were frequently lots of people queueing there and you couldn't get past to get between the front door and the rooms. Apart from that the bar, spa, gym etc. were all really high quality as you'd expect. Could do with more stairs as alternatives to the lifts. Only staff stairwells in most cases, if you didn't want to take the lift.

Highly recommend staying! The staff were excellent, always very helpful, friendly and adding extra touches to make your stay special. Service withba smile. The meals and breakfast at booking office were delicious and plentiful, drinks were superb! Make sure you don't miss the 5.05 whiskey drink. The room, hotel and amenities were clean and to a high standard. Such a beautiful building in a perfect location for transport to enjoy your stay in London.
