Motel 6-Dayton, OH - Englewood

When I walked in there were 3 woman they gave me snide looks I saw the screen with about 30 cameras front desk area was dark and dingy. I went to view a room side door was not locked and open. Contradicts security. I did not appreciate the attitude of the staff and did not feel safe so I told them I was not staying.

place was dirty, litter strewn everywhere and homeless people living nest to buildings...... did not check-in after observing

Smokers room needs to be aired out for non smokers. The room wasn’t bad. I didn’t care for door covering refrigerator area. TV got one station & wasn’t able to change or turn off. Bathtub did look filthy on the outside. Bed was fine. Just needs better atmosphere around the hotel.

We checked in and asked for an extra pillow and were told they did not have any. Going to our car we realized how much litter was on the lawn and parking lot. It was not inviting at all. The room STUNK. There was no comfortable chair to sit and work at a computer. There was only one night stand and lamp. We opened the night stand drawer to find a TV schedule. Instead, we found a bloody cotton swab. No TV schedule was ever found. The bathtub has no anti-skid mat or strips and I slipped while in the shower. The workers were congenial but the manager seemed disgusted that we brought SOME of these observations up to him. We will not be using this motel again.

Easy access, park the car in front of the room, able to move belongings into the room easily. However, I booked the king bed but I got double bed instead. I went to check with the front office. He said the room was sold out so they decided to change the room. It would be handling better if he mentioned about it since checking in. The room has smell. Fortunately, I got a room spray in my car. The lock did not work, the chain didn’t have any chain rail for it. We did try to open from the outside. Thanks God ~ the door cannot open from the outside without a card. There is no toiletries just soap. Towels are not enough for 2 people, even when booking I mentioned 2 guests stay at the property.

It is So clean... It is so nice to be at a Hotel that does not keep trash outside

The property was a little scruffy. The access was difficult because there was work being done on the drive and parking. It also meant there was dirt, grit and bitumen everywhere.

I think I saw a drug deal going down. This site has a lot of people who seem to live there. Friendly enough, but I felt constantly watched. The room had only only one outlet near the bed. No fridge. Remote for tv didn’t turn it off or on, only changed the channels.

Tub and towels were not very clean. I didnt bother to use them and slept in my clothes.

The lock was damage hard to open, dirty room, dirty sheets, dirty towels, bathroom also dirty..

The non smoking room stank horribly of cigarette smoke, and while they gave us a different room that was better, it was still not good and smelled strongly of cigarettes. The shower was also quite dirty. However the bed was clean and, while noisy, not uncomfortable.

Staff was friendly room was okay but it had roaches they offered to change rooms income spray the next morning but roaches are not a one room situation

While I understand this is a no frills type of establishment, certain things should be standard. Like cleanliness and working items. Our room reeked of smoke (there was an ashtray in the room), the heat did not work, the sheets were threadbare in spots and the comforter had several holes. We didn't even want to undress to sleep because we worried about bugs. We did not see any but the room was gross. The bathroom has an extremely low toilet seat of which neither of us sat on based on the unclean appearance of the room. We did not feel comfortable showering there in the morning so we didn't and waited to shower after we finished our 7 hour trek home. The best part about it is the location to dining. Several fast food type spots and some sit down restaurants along this corridor however most close at 10pm. We did enjoy Waffle House which is adjacent to the property. We will not stay here again.

I was bitten by bedbugs. The sheets blankets were nasty. No microwave in room. No refrigerator. Had to check out because of bugs. Bathroom nasty

Room felt a bit humid. There were kissing bugs on the ceiling and the tubs looked dirty. The blankets had holes in them.

Cons: Bathtub was dirty, toilet seat was loose, non smoking room smelled strongly of smoke. Pros: Bedding and lines were clean, AC worked OK, check in was easy

Asked for a room downstairs and told they didn’t have any left, but I just figured they only had so many for online, bec they sure had more than half of the property was empty! Get to room and the Heat doesn’t work, immediately offered to change rooms ( still on second floor 😂) next room was fine and front des called to check and make sure everything was ok! Didn’t like the fact they started knocking on my door an hour before check out, did it twice! Also very low water pressure! But overall I would stay again for the price!

The room was clean, the air conditioner didn't work instead of blowing hot air it blew cold air we had it sat on 90, the tub was cracked and when you sit on the toilet it rocks. The office staff was professional and nice, the rooms just need small repairs. No bugs in the room neither and the location is convenient.

The air conditioner/heater just had a fan. Not able to adjust because the control nobs have no stops and spins around. Can't read the settings on the controls. Very hot in the room and can't turn on AC.

I also thought it was strange, but the fan was off for a day when it was 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside. No problem. I turned it to cool at 72 and went to get some food and grocery shop. An hour later, I came back and the room was cool. When I sat on the bed, it had springs for the mattress, and it was uncomfortable. I have been at five hotels lately, and none had such an uncomfortable bed. I was displeased but thought I could deal with it for one night. The room was clean, and the refrigerator had a small freezer that could hold a regular apple. It was about 10 inches wide without a door. The refrigerator cooled my two liters of pop overnight. Later at night, I wanted to bathe and noticed they only had one bar of hotel soap. No shampoo, conditioner, or lotion. If you are planning to go here, bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and lotion if you plan to use them. The bath had a crack on the front, lower right. I paid less for the room, but the quality was lacking. I filled up the bath, but did not notice the level of water was lower, so I assume it was not leaking, but I would not be sure. It was summertime, and the clientele was loud, yelling at each other at night, and making pounding noises late at night.

The mattress was squeaky and very uncomfortable, while the non-smoking room wreaked of cigarette smoke. When I complained, the man at the desk said that the smoke drifted in from outside the room.

I accidentally booked an accessible room, so my room was definitely different. Regardless, there were zero towel racks to hang hand towels or bath towels. Unless that's an expectation for an accessible room, it's a big miss. The size of the bath towels is comical.

Noise was horrible in room from outside, AC didn't work properly

Staff was amazing anything i needed they was right on it i will recommend this motel to all my friends and family

I called and told them i would be thrre arpund 9pm. When i got there they changed my rate and chatged me more ... i then noticed they never checked me into my reservation but just checked me in as a walk in which is the rate change

It was an average motel. Despite us having a dog, they put us on the second floor. The staff was kind of rude and more interested in the conversation they were having with each other than with getting us checked in. Wasn’t a welcoming experience. Might have been a later than normal check in, but they could have at least been kind about it. By contrast the morning person was delightful.

The first room key did not work. Staff gave me a key to a different room. Worked fine. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I went to check in the room I booked. I was asked if I had a pet I said I have ADA certified medical seizure alert dog. I was told I couldn't have that room because I have a pet. I tried to explain my dog is a medical device protected by federal law. The man did not know about the law and denied to give me my room. I have to drive around looking for another room after an 8 hr straight drive. Very unhappy. We will be filing a law suit due to that fact they violated federal law.

There is another $50 that had to be paid on the spot as a "deposit" which is crazy since they are poasessuon of my credit card. I didnt feel like arguinf about it im supposed to get that back in 5-7 days but they dont tell you about before booking. I'll be back to let you know if i have to fight to get my money back.

The attendant at the counter is very very rude. He doesn’t want to do HIS job whatsoever. The customer service is what brings the stars down dramatically. Everything was pretty much cool except for the tub in the bathroom and the fact I paid for a non smoking room and got a room with an ashtray and ut smelled like someone literally just got done smoking in the room. I would’ve chalked it all up but, the customer service alone made it a bad stay for me

The pillows were skimpy and too few. there were no extra blankets in room. one trashcan, so I had to walk back to it with trash. Table lamps did not light, I was promised breakfast, there was none. "Go to Waffle House" receptionist said.
