Quality Inn & Suites Mount Pleasant

Side door was locked, so could only go in the front door. Lights didn't work in the main room or bathroom. Pillows were nice. Breakfast was horrible--juice watered down at 7am opening, biscuits and gravy were inedible. We brought donuts, ants COVERED them. WE WERE ON THE THIRD FLOOR!!!!!! That's a serious ant infestation. Staff didn't care about that when brought to their attention. Bathroom door wouldn't close. Staff fell asleep on couch. Pretty unsafe.

Hotel was clean and staff was nice, but the pool and hot tub were not open and that info was not provided when booking. If it's going to be used as a selling point, it should be operational.

Very basic hotel, no frills, soda machine didn’t even work. Had my dog, lucky for me I always put a diaper on to be safe when staying in a hotel. He spent all night moving from one spot to the next “rubbing” in the smells. Not that I noticed the smells, but you know how dogs are. Breakfast was also very basic. In fairness you get what you pay for.

The pool and hot tub were out of order. The tv didnt work. The bed was actually broken but someone had hodged podged it to make it appear to be a safe bed. Easily the worst hotel experience I have had in the last 30 years, and not even close.

Property and room were clean. Property needed maintenance---broken floor tile in hallway, room door was lacking a strike plate and rattled, breakfast food supply was low and shaky quality. Property simply needed maintenance and breakfast attendant.

The pool was not in operation.

The staff was friendly and helpful. But the rooms were smelly, air conditioner didn't cool the room sufficiently. First room they gave us smelled like stale, old cigarette smoke. I have COPD, could not breathe. Second room smelled like a whole other musty smell, better than stale smoke. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, hubby and I did not sleep well and woke up in pain. The towels were thin, old, zero quality. The hotel smelled more like a restaurant than a hotel. Some of the lobby furniture needs to be replaced, it was very worn and old. The breakfast is very limited and the coffee is disgusting. We had to order Dunkin coffee every morning for some good coffee. We found out that the hotel is under recent, new management and saw that some changes are being made in the hotel so we hope to be able to stay in an awesomely upgraded Inn someday.

I did not like that the website has pictures of a full functioning gym and then when we get there we are told it has a month until it’s done. I don’t like that I had the air set at 63 on full blast and still woke up sweating I should have been freezing. There was no outdoor pool like the website showed.

The hotel is okay, the system was down so I was instructed to wait in the lobby area which was fine, BUT there was a dead bug on the side table next to the seats in the lobby which is kinda alarming to see when you plan on staying somewhere. My room was clean and everything worked fine, just an older hotel and smells weird. Crowd around the hotel was interesting to say the least, I would maybe stay here again, but not likely.

The sheets were dirty. The lobby was about 100 degrees, so uncomfortable there

I booked a two night stay in room#107 and left because the room smelled musty and moldy.

Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly service. Biscuits and gravy at breakfast!! Nice surprise 😊

Bedding was very comfortable, shower had great water pressure, room was clean and nicely decorated and staff were friendly and helpful. The area is quiet and there are a few restaurants within walking distance. Downtown was a 5 minute drive with a good selection of restaurants. We ate at The Grange which had locally sourced ingredients and everything was homemade and remarkably delicious.

Very nice stay. Nice staff, clean property. Just what we needed for the night!

The room was grungy. We kept our bare feet off the carpet and the bathtub was disgusting. We didn’t use it, just washed in the sink as best we could. The scrambled eggs were too salty to eat and being pescatarian and gluten- intolerant, yogurt was the only option available. Will never stay there again.

The bathroom fan was incredibly loud and sounded as if it was breaking.

This was such a great value. The hotel ticked all the boxes I’m looking for. The beds were clean and comfortable, the shower worked well, the WiFi was good, and they carry Direct TV, which means Turner Classic Movie (TCM) channel. I definitely want to stay here again the next time I’m in the area.

Half the light switches and lights worked. No tissues in holder. Bed very poorly made; just the bedspread up, covers without smoothing and pillows not touched. Horrible bed. Upon arrival, had to navigate cords and cleaning equipment down entire hall, and our door was unlocked and open. Towels extremely thin. Bed uncomfortable, it crunched when you sat on it. Will never stay at this, or probably any Quality Inn again.

We had difficulty getting in the room because the lock/key card barely worked. The bathroom door wouldn't close all the way without force. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the bathroom. The blowdryer was missing, the curtains wouldn't close all the way. We had to clip them together. The waffle maker was working intermittently. The food was frozen in the breakfast room fridge. The eggs and sausage tasted funny. To top everything off, it was overpriced. I booked 3 rooms for 2 nights at $225 during the 75th Annual Old Threshers Reunion. I ended up cancelling 1 night each on 2 rooms. They changed the price from $225 per night total to a whopping $313 on 1 room and $252 on another room. This made no sense but I was told by both hotels.com and the hotel that pricing was out of their control. To top it off the room that never got changed was charged $252 per night. I cancelled the $313 per night room completely due to finding a room at another hotel for over $100 cheaper per night. The remaining room I changed was lucky to get the original $225 per night price I originally booked at. This was probably the fault of hotels.com but still. Overall I had a room which was hard to find but next time Ill go elsewhere to stay and elsewhere to book my hotel rooms.

The beds were so uncomfortable..... most of the staff was so friendly..... the check in and out gals were very kind. There was a gal in the breakfast area who was not very friendly. Other than that a good experience. Breakfast was good

The property was great. However, when we went to check out we were overcharged. We had booked through expedia and paid through expedia. The hotel charged us the full price on check out. Waiting on a refund.

Everything was great! The breakfast was very good. The staff was very professional and courteous. The room was clean and very neat. On our future visits to Mt. Pleasant this will be our go to place every time! Thank you.

My 18 year old grandaughter found 4 bats in her apartment. It was late at night and i live in another town. I got on the hotels.com app and imeadiatly searched for hotels. I called the hotels directly to confirm that she would not have to show my credit card and could check in at 18. After a couple of no we cant do that. I called quality inn. The front dest attendant assured me they would allow her to check in but would need credit card on file. I told her i could book it and drive 30 min to show my credit card. She said no need book thru the app and i will wait for you to come back to the phone and will get your card info over the phone. What a lifesaver. My grandaughter was in her room 15 min after i got off the phone. And everyone was able to get some sleep and not worry about bats. Thank you so much Quality Inn. You definatly will be our first choice when traveling and our top recomendation.

We stayed one night and prepaid through hotels.com. At check in my credit card info was taken which is normal for damages, etc. Upon returning home I saw a $25 charge on my card that didn't go away for several days. I couldn't find a phone number for the hotel so I called Choice Hotels. I found out the $25 was for a dog in our room. We didn't have a dog in our room. The Choice Hotels rep put me on hold and tried to call the hotel to remove the charge. No one answered the phone at 5 p.m.! I got the phone number for the hotel from the rep and called myself. I asked the hotel clerk, who had actually checked me, in to remove the dog charge. He insisted I had a dog. I told him that a couple who checked in about the same time had a dog and he charged the wrong room for the dog. He said he'd have someone check the room the next day and I should call back. I have no idea what checking the room several days after we checked out would accomplish to determine that we didn't have a dog in the room. We argued and then the clerk hung up on me. I called my credit card company and disputed the charge and hopefully it gets reversed and not challenged by the hotel. One night and a lot of hassle for the mistake of the clerk. On check in and check out be sure the staff at this hotel are not making mistakes, intentional or otherwise. They know nothing about customer service.

Staff very polite and helpful. My room was nice and clean. Their breakfast consisted of waffles, biscuit and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage links, bagels,toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit,and juice and coffee.

Quick check in and friendly staff. Great breakfast, would stay here again.

It was Quite and clean. Breakfast needed more to offer, and the food needed to be refreshed more offend, but it was good.
