No working ice machine on the property. It would also be a big improvement to out a coffee maker in the rooms, every other hotel has had coffee makers in their rooms for 20 years now, so they a little behind on that.

Decent motel for the price. The parking lot is well lit, office workers were polite, and the room was fairly clean.

If you need a clean room, this is it. The room was very clean (my bathtub never gets as shiny), the linens were free from stains, and towels were clean. The mattress is completely enclosed in a zipped cover with a clean mattress cover over, no bedbugs found. One side of the mattress was a little broke down but still okay. The AC is a window unit and very cold but very loud. THERE’S A CEILING FAN! Parking is not gated but it is well lit. Office had coffee, tea, muffins, fruit, and cereal for breakfast. I was able to get to the Medical Center without getting back on the interstate. If you need a clean, safe place to sleep before an appointment in the Medical Center consider this hotel.

As we entered our room it smelled very nice and clean…. Location was perfect, felt very secure, parking lot lighting was phenomenal, will definitely stay there again when I visit Houston…

It's convenient to the area: shopping, gas, highway. The room has a refrigerator and a microwave and you can see the HEB from the motel. Pretty quiet and safe. The office is occupied 24 hours. It's a great choice for the money. The ice machine is quite a little walk away from the rooms but I give it high marks.

Very well lit

We stayed at America Best Value Inn 2419 Riverside Dr., Houston, TX. Our room was very clean. Fresh towels were provided every day. That doesn't happen very often since covid arrived. The best part was that the entire staff was very kind and helpful. We were there to attend appointments at MD Anderson Cancer Center. It was great to be surrounded by such caring people at a time when we were feeling overwhelmed.

I checked in looked around filthy nasty pubic hair on the bed , no towels. my husband left I requested a refund and left immediately.

First of all I had reserved a non smoking handy cap room and came out sleeping on a SMOKING handy cap room in which it smelled really bad, also there were a lot of cockroaches just crawling on the bed and on the floor. Just cause it was too late and no other option of going somewhere else.

The room was not clean. The bed was FILTHY and GROSS. There was yellow stains on the comforter and dirt on the sheets. I told the front desk attendant about the bed and asked for a new room. He told me he didn't have anymore rooms, even though the parking lot was fairly empty. He gave me new sheets and comforter. I had to change the sheets myself. In addition to that, there was Hair in the tub and around the sink.

My stay at Americas Best Value Inn was horrible. When we first walked in the room it was a strong smell of urine, the door to the room doesn't have a deadbolt. The ironing board cover was burned and dirty, there was hair everywhere. The comforters and towels were soiled and dirty and the mirror in front of the restroom was a 2 way mirror and when I told the manager he said he couldn't put is in another room because we already paid, so he came to the room and removed the mirror. The mirror was in a 3 inch thick box that had a back panel that had been hot glued and behind it on the wall was a capped electrical box. Weird, the entire stay was disgusting and we didn't feel safe. Beware, check your mirrors and Never, I REPEAT NEVER BOOK AT AMERICA'S BEST VALUE INN.

Clean room

Place was a bit dirty. Stains on the sheets. Stains on the bed. Towels were stained.

Check in was smooth and friendly. The bed was cozy and the room was nice an cool. I would suggest increasing the water pressure for the shower.

This hotel offers an excellent stay with several great features. The parking lot is well-lit. It's conveniently located near downtown attractions, making it easy to explore the area without a long drive. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. Mattress could be better.

They didn't clean my room the first day, the second day power went out and now i can't get my work done without wifi. There is no wifi now

The AC in our nonsmoking room wasn’t working properly so we opted to sleep in a smoking room. It was still warm. Property is nice but the AC units are old.

The staff always so kind and easy process with check in and out and open to help if needed this is my go to when i need a lil getaway

I showed up at midnight there was no one to check me in and I had to go to another hotel. Ended up paying both cause they wouldn’t cancel my reservation. Horrible experience to have at midnight

It was ok for the 9 hour stay I needed. Kinda expensive for the shape the hotel is in, it’s be remodeled, but wasn’t very clean. I had to wait 20 minutes to check in due to nobody being at the check in counter. No one was there for me to checkout either.

Staff were very accommodating. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Only complaint was the sheets are cheap and itchy. We will definitely stay again when we have to stay over night in Houston. It’s close to the medical district

The staff was really helpful and nice, we came for the Texans vs. Steelers game and they even allowed us to park at their property while we got picked up to go to to the game!

The staff are so friendly and the place is so clean and perfect location if you are going to an event at NRG stadium.

There is a large HEB store with great selection for fresh meals that are easy to microwave. Well lit parking lot that seems to fill up every night. Right on 288, that we like to use to go to the beach at Surfside. Works great for us when we visit Houston for art exhibits at the world class HMFA.

Was exactly as expected - not 5 star, but clean and quiet. Area around property was a bit sketchy, but with minimal time spent in room, was not a problem. Close to event in Hermann Park, which was the reason the property was chosen.

Very shady location and vibe. Room was full of weed smell upon arrival. Parking lot did not seem safe after dark. Will not return.

The hotel was freshly renovated at the time we went so the room was spotless. They had all the basic amenities (microwave, fridge, iron, hair dryer, etc), & even had a grab & go breakfast bar. Now the size of the room is kind of small, so if you plan on staying with more than 2 people, you may want to look elsewhere. The room was for me & my gf so it was just enough space for us. Overall for the cost I was quite pleased. I’ve stayed in rooms that were at least $100 per night (like this one) & had terrible experiences, so I went in expecting the worse. I’m happy that wasn’t my experience & I’ll definitely be back.

Coffee was available starting at 6:00 a.m. Several breakfast options. Room could have used another chair.

The night clerk was very nice, and gave us a floor room, but when we got to room . Our tv didn’t work. They did offer for us to move but my husband is disabled so we couldn’t go up stairs. They said they would fix it but didn’t. Then the decorative bedding on top of as dirty and stunk so bad . Went to get breakfast. No milk for cereal. Nvr got more when ask.

Conveniently located near med center. Clean and fully functional room. Breakfast offered was small but sufficient. Staff was friendly during check in/out. Lots of activity after dark made property feel relatively unsafe however. Noisy until midnight. Be aware of surroundings

You get what you pay for and that’s why it’s cheap to stay here. Check in was easy but what they don’t tell you when booking is you have to have a credit card because they put a $150 hold on it in case of damages to the room. Our room smelled the pot so bad that we had to leave the exhaust fan on in the bathroom all day and night. When I went to the front desk to tell them that it wasn’t from us (because I didn’t want to be charged for it) the front desk clerk gave me a thumbs up and said it was okay. The electricity kept going off and coming back on. The ice machine worked the first day but when I went to get some the next day it had been unplugged and had no ice. The exhaust fan in the bathroom wasn’t secure and you could see up inside the opening. The refrigerator was on the highest setting and wasn’t even cool inside it so couldn’t store any food in there. The neighbor was so loud and constantly had people coming and going from their room at all hours of the night (mostly where the pot smell was coming from). I will say that the parking lot is well lit and they do have ALOT of security cameras on the property because you can see the monitor at the front desk. When I was checking out I’d seen some muffins in the lobby so I grabbed a couple to notice later on that they were expired. We had chosen this hotel because we were there for a medical procedure for my mother at the hospital and it was close by. Again, you get what you pay for.
