Holiday Inn Express Fulton by IHG

There was a staffing problem which caused a backup of twenty minutes and 8 guests when tried to check in. The swimming pool had some kind of white scum on top that made it impossible to swim. Food choices in the area (even the grocery store) were all unhealthy. Overall, a disappointing stay. The room was reasonably clean.

I was able to get a suite at a reasonable price. The room was clean and had comfortable. The breakfast had a variety of options and was good. The only negative during this stay was the pool seemed to have a problem. It had a layer of something of top and no one was using it.

The day staff were friendly. The evening staff were not we would walk in and were not acknowledged at all. We were also unable to swim due to the pool heater being down.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. We stayed for four nights. Very disappointed the pool heater was broken and they did not tell us before hand.

We paid to use the meeting room. The tables were dirty and the air conditioning did not work ( it was about 78 degrees in the room)

We wanted to use the exercising equipment but only one worked.

Bed were very comfortable, rooms were clean. Pool was very cold. TV didn't work in the fitness room. Breakfast was good.

Comfy, clean, cheap, and right off the interstate. The only negative, and it's a small one, was that there is only one elevator for a 4 story hotel....and that there is no ice maker on the 4th floor.

Friendly and prompt service at check in desk. Bed was comfortable and room clean Breakfast was as advertised. Workout room was disappointing seat was broken on the stationary bike and the treadmill worked but shifted and creaked badly

Room tile floor was very dirty. My grandson (3yoa) dropped and spilled his water. When my daughter wiped it up the wipe was black.

Black mold was on the ceiling in the bathroom. Rm 218 to be exact, and the bathroom fans didn’t work either.

One of the worst hotel stays in my life. I’ve stayed in this hotel a few times and the past. I do not remember the miserable smells in the rooms or them running out of towels for 24 hours. The stench now is almost unbearable and the carpet almost feels wet. Kept socks on the entire time and washed everything when I got home.

I\'m totally unsure why this hotel has good reviews. The only reason we booked it was because of the reviews. I would rate it in the negative if I could. To start off, the front desk lady is very nice. Check in went smoothly. We headed up to our room and as soon as the elevator opened we were met with a musty feel/smell. Hallways creaked and the carpet was stained pretty good in areas. We went into our room and same thing. The place just smelled bad and felt really humid. It seems like housekeeping comes in, vacuums, changes the bedding and thats it. Windows were disgusting with prints and residue everywhere. Our ac unit was disgusting as well. The fans inside the unit were completely black. Couldn\'t tell if it was just dirt or possibly mold. The tv\'s in the rooms are extremely old, tiny 32" tv\'s with dust all over them. It really looks like this place was built in the early 2000s and they haven\'t changed a thing. Our bathroom was okay. Everything was relatively clean besides the shower. Visible dirt and hair in spots. The floor was sticky as well. But compared to the rest of the room it was nice. The beds are extremely weird as well. They have hard and soft spots throughout them. Our mini fridge was on its last leg and again, just gross. Visible residue and finger prints all over it. Extremely noisy to the point where we tried to unplug it. All the furniture is beat up with nicks/scratches. One of our beds was being held up by a peice of 2x4

Room was not clean. Stains on carpet and bed skirt. An old sock was underneath the bed. Lots of dust on end tables. Freezer was packed with ice (need to be defrosted). We paid more to stay at Holiday Inn because it typically is a reliable hotel chain for a comfortable stay. This was well below standard. A huge disappointment.

It is a little out dated but the room was decently clean. The bathroom sink had mold growing under the crevice at the top of the sink. Staff were nice and welcoming. Breakfast was so good and all kinds of choices.

First room had mold in bathroom and air unit. The smell coming from the air condition was horrible. We immediately changed rooms. 2nd room on 4th floor didn’t smell as bad but the moldy bathroom still exists. Large mold spots on ceiling due to leaks. It of course started raining so we were woke up at 3 AM with leaks and dripping sounds over the bed. Finally gave up and got ready to leave. There was no front desk staff from at least 3 to 5:30 AM. My husband sat down there to try and speak to someone. There was a sign that said they would be back and they were assisting another customer. This was apparently untrue. The phone rang non stop and several people left upset dealing with the same issues I suspect. I can not comprehend this being a Holiday Inn Express! I have traveled all over the country and it has always been safe, clean and had exceptional service. This place is not up to the standards normally encountered. Will never stay here again.

Overall, this was a great hotel. The beds could be better, but the staff was excellent. Our room was very spacious.

I was worried about the choice because the hallways and carpeting were pretty dated, but the room itself was huge and best of all the beds were really comfortable! Breakfast bar juice and pancake machine were out of order and you had to ask for water at the front desk because there wasn’t any in the breakfast bar. All in all, I would stay here again because the staff was great and the beds were so comfortable!

It was clean and the staff was top notch. The room had a lot of damage to the furniture and walls.

Liked the big rooms with 2 sinks. Couch area separate from the bedrooms. Coffee kurig in the room. Bed was comfy and loved the pillows and comfy bedding. Large room and bathroom shower had great pressure. At the end of the stay the breakfast was wonderful. Would definitely stay again.

We had a late night check-in. Staff was very kind and helpful. We had 5 people so we needed to use the pull out bed. There wasn’t bedding in the room for it so I had to go back to the front desk to request bedding. The mattress on the couch was extremely uncomfortable and could feel every spring. Highly recommend replacing. Other than that, the room was clean but older. Beds were comfortable and shower was great. It was a large room which was nice for 5 people. Breakfast in the morning was very good. Loved the omelets and cinnamon rolls. Would stay again, just not use the pull out couch.

I stayed two times during the week. The first night was a Wednesday. The room was dim, probably because of the required light bulbs. I like a bright room, and this wasn't one. there was also hair on the floor in the bathroom. I went to breakfast around 7 am. The pancake machine was not working, the juice machine was not turned on, I got the last water in the fridge, there was no toast or bagles or condiments for the oatmeal. I went out a little bit later and everything was filled and working, except the pancake machine. I stayed again that week on a Saturday. The room was brighter than the previous room, which I liked. However, the shower had a slow drain and I took a shower standing in a puddle of water. The hot water was not very hot, either, and the faucet dripped all night. At breakfast the next morning, it appeared that the omelets were burned, and the package of cinna-minni's were burnt and cold at the same time. I grabbed a muffin and checked out. I also appreciate that there is a workout room and a pool. However, the stationary bike is missing a pedal, so it's basically useless. The treadmill errored out after three seconds, so I couldn't even get it to work to walk on. I will say that I like the area and distance it is to my destination, but it was not up to the standards I am used to when I stay there. It is about my fourth time in a year to be there. I hope I don't have to find another place to stay

This hotel was adequate for our one night stop while traveling. Easy to get to right off the highway. The only complaint we had was the AC. It did not keep the room cool during the night. We had to leave early the next morning and never said anything to the staff so I can’t say how it would have been handled.

A few of our outlets didn’t work in our room and there was no trash can. We had to use the one in the bathroom. The room itself was nice and big with plenty of room but when you can’t charge things that kind of overshadows the good things.

The place is great, but they installed new computer system and it was down. Check in took over an hour and we had to write our credit card info in order to get the room key. Frustrating, for us and the desk lady.

Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great. Room had lipstick kisses on the mirror. Clothes from previous guest on the room floor. Toilet wasn’t working and wasn’t addressed, even though we asked, and they came into our room to empty trash. We had to ask for a plunger, which wasn’t offered when we first requested. We were told they were busy and short staffed. We understand that can happen, but a non working toilet in our room shouldn’t be ignored. The friendliness of the staff definitely helped our stay.

The staff was friendly and kind. The front desk clerk, Rebecca, is Awesome. She checked us in and she checked us out. We had been on a 7 day road trip and ended with our last 2 days attending a Family Reunion. My husband and I both said that we ended with the best hotel stay and the kindest staff. We'll remember this place as we travel to the area of Tupelo/Fulton.

The receptionist insisted that I had the correct room key. I tried FOUR times and it was the wrong room floor, and wrong room number. The tv also didn’t work. The toiletries were not filled.

On vacation I drive my old sports car so parking that is safe for it is my highest priority and that was excellent at this hotel. The breakfast was a cut above. The bed was very comfortable and the furniture was very nice. The bathroom controls needed repair and their maintenance person did come to repair it. The bathroom amenities were nice. This is a very nice motel that sits back away from the highway.

Everything about the property was amazing. The only complaint I had was when I got there to check in I waited for 30 minutes before anyone became available to check me in.

Worst experience ever. We stayed in a room next to very loud kids that were running up and down the hall at 1 am. I called the front desk she did call them and they did stay quiet so we could sleep. The beds were as hard as a rock and the room appeared cleaned but there was someone’s clothes left in the closet from a prior stay.

Arrived at 11pm, after 7hrs driving, and told they had over booked and did not have a room for my family of 6, 2 adults and 4 children. We had made the reservation and called the hotel Wednesday before our Friday departure to confirm the room.

Great location right of interstate, second time we've stayed while traveling. Hotel is clean and staff is super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good, lots of choices. There's a really good mexican restaurant next door if you need lunch or dinner during your stay.

Easy to find and subway next door. Front desk clerk was welcoming. Rooms are surprisingly large. Bedding was clean, quality fabric and modern. Decorate was updated. We will stay here again on our way home.

The hotel is convenient to the Hwy but not directly next to the highway. Quiet and safe area. Hotel staff was very nice and the building seems to be new or exceptionally well kept.

Good hotel with quick and friendly check-in. Accommodated all our needs. Clean and quiet.

The staff was really friendly. However, I chose the hotel based on the offered breakfast. We had a 7 hour drive ahead of us and needed to start our day off with a good meal. Breakfast was until 10:00. We arrived at 9:00 and all of five food was gone except for a few biscuits. No meat, no eggs, no cinnamon rolls, milk, fruit etc. The staff did their best to look for anything they could find but it was slim pickings.

The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was quite disappointing. We went there between 8:00-8:30. The coffee was terrible, barely warm, no hot water, several items had not been restocked, etc. It didn't seem like they cared too much. Breakfast was open until 9:30.

Safe and convenient. Food service for breakfast was limited with several machines for juice and food were broken. Otherwise, the motel was fine.

Excellent location and the suites are quite spacious. Only issue we had was the breakfast area had a few items slow to get replenished.

I chose the property for breakfast- I asked and confirmed when we arrived that breakfast would be served. When we came down for breakfast we was informed breakfast was canceled because they decided to give staff the day off for the holiday! I wouldn’t be upset if they hadn’t told us they’d have breakfast! There was nothing open- and I’m diabetic And a very picky eater!
