Host fantastic. Breakfast fantastic. WiFi in room non existent. The stairs & landing could benefit from a once over with the hoover but overall a very pleasant stay in a great location for the lake.

Beautiful cottage in a picturesque spot with parking. Lovely bedroom with good heating and small ensuite. Friendly host and very good breakfast. Coffee was made from a coffee bag so could be improved. The steam train station is nearby on the lake with a good cafe where you can watch the train and get an espresso.

Colin was very helpful and gave us a great guide of the local area. Rooms were nice and cosy and got Netflix on the TV. Breakfast was lovely and Colin made a fuss over us we felt really welcome

Bedroom was very nice, clean, airy and tidy. Coffee and biscuit on arrival in room. Colin the host was very welcoming and friendly without being intrusive and on hand to offer any advice on the surrounding area and ideas on where to visit. We had lovely sleeps and found the beds comfortable for our liking. Breakfast was delicious, full English, toast, mixed fruit and yoghurt and variety of cereals and juices. Safe off road parking right outside the cottage. Would recommend for a comfy quiet base while visiting the Lakes.

Very short small car park that is not so easy to navigate.Entrance is some what cramped so if youve a large bag you will struggle with entrance ans stairs. The Host was very friendly upon arrival and explained the accommodation set up and local area very well. Once inside the the decor is inkeeping with suroundings still a little dated somewhat and not of the cleanest of standards that i would expect but im sure the spiders liked it that way.The pungent smell of the room and accommodation is that of an alleged air freshner, apparently definitely not a smell ive come across previously in a tin. The room was small but had everthing we needed,travel kettle and mini cups included even the draught was friendly from all windows. Of which has nice viewes over the scrubland to the rear.Our stay lasted for all of 1 hour as the accommodation 75 yards down the road Wow amazing

Colin and Sharon fabulous hosts. Nothing was a trouble for them to assist our 4 night stay. Lovely comfortable lounge room to relax in. Great outdoor area to enjoy the sun and have a drink. And of course not to forget the lovely English breakfast.

We stayed here for two nights on our way back from a road trip around Scotland. Excellent location close to Lake Windermere and only a few minutes’ walk from the Ferry to Bowness and the Steam Train to Haverthwaite. We booked the king size ensuite room which was very comfortable and clean. There is free wifi and free parking on site. Colin is a marvellous host who made us feel very welcome. He provided excellent local advice and even assisted us backing out of the driveway on our last day! For breakfast there are cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, fruit juices and a delicious and plentiful freshly cooked breakfast which really sets you up for the day. Thank you Colin for a lovely and comfortable stay. Landing Cottage Guest House is Highly Recommended for a comfortable stay close to Lake Windermere.

A lovely guest house. We were made welcome by the owner Colin from the first moment we arrived. Very clean and cosy. A delicious breakfast. A parking place guaranteed.. Surprisingly close to Lake Windermere. Just a minutes walk.

Great host, great breakfast, great location and a great price. We had a ground floor, king size room with our own entrance door to the garden which led to the car park. Very handy.

Very close to the beautiful Lakeside landing and lots of easy walks close by. Friendly helpful host who even carried our case upstairs for us. Great cooked to order breakfast. A quaint very old house.It was handy being able to park outside.

Lovely B&B! The host is really friendly, clean and comfy rooms, nice and warm even though I stayed during a snow storm, delicious breakfast! Perfect for an overnight stay for a wedding.

The stay was very pleasant, Colin the owner made us feel very welcome and was knowledgeable of the area. The room was very clean and the breakfast set you up for the day ahead. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again in the future.

We were delighted the first time, so we returned after a couple of years and we found it just as lovely as before: Quiet, clean, and beautiful, not to mention the friendliness of the host who really makes you feel special. Looking forward to the next time!

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Some of the facilities were a little dated and not squeaky clean, but overall good. The host/hotel owner was very friendly and very helpful with helping us find local activities etc. The breakfast was great, tasty food and lots of options to choose from! I would recommend this place, and I would certainly stay again.

Loved our short stay here. It’s a shame we were already booked elsewhere further North. Colin the owner is a really personable guy with lots of time for you and a wealth of local knowledge even giving us an easy walking route to an eatery we would never have found for ourselves. Room and bed was comfortable and breakfast was both freshly cooked and plentiful. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we find we are in the area Thanks Colin

Amazing trip. Colin was brilliant and a wealth of knowledge about the area. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was really good. Highly recommended and would be coming back if ever in the area again.

We attended a friends wedding at Townhead Estate which was a 5 minute journey by taxi. Colin greeted us upon arrival and was very friendly and helpful. Full English breakfast and a selection of cereal and fruit was available for breakfast the following morning. Room was a good size.

Colin the owner is a really personable guy with lots of time for you and a wealth of local knowledge even giving us an easy walking route to an eatery we would never have found for ourselves. Room and bed was comfortable and breakfast was both freshly cooked and plentiful. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we find we are in the area Thanks Colin

Colin and Sharon fabulous hosts. Nothing was a trouble for them to assist our 4 night stay. Lovely comfortable lounge room to relax in. Great outdoor area to enjoy the sun and have a drink. And of course not to forget the lovely English breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at Landing Cottage, its a beautiful property and Colin was very welcoming and friendly. The cottage itself if very close to the lake and has some lovely walks nearby with access to the steam railway and ferry tours. We had a wonderful home cooked full English breakfast, veggie options included, complete with a smiling face :)!!! I am sure we will return again soon fir a longer stay. We can highly recommend staying here as you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!!

We stayed here for two nights on our way back from a road trip around Scotland. Excellent location close to Lake Windermere and only a few minutes’ walk from the Ferry to Bowness and the Steam Train to Haverthwaite. We booked the king size ensuite room which was very comfortable and clean. There is free wifi and free parking on site. Colin is a marvellous host who made us feel very welcome. He provided excellent local advice and even assisted us backing out of the driveway on our last day! For breakfast there are cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, fruit juices and a delicious and plentiful freshly cooked breakfast which really sets you up for the day. Thank you Colin for a lovely and comfortable stay. Landing Cottage Guest House is Highly Recommended for a comfortable stay close to Lake Windermere.

We had a very comfortable night here. Colin is the perfect host, he was friendly, happy to chat and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was really good, plenty of choice and good quality food. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful cottage in a picturesque spot with parking. Lovely bedroom with good heating and small ensuite. Friendly host and very good breakfast. Coffee was made from a coffee bag so could be improved. The steam train station is nearby on the lake with a good cafe where you can watch the train and get an espresso.

Grate stay at Landing Cottage. Only 1 min from the steam train and boats/ferry rides at Windermere lake. Room was clean and tea and biscuits provided. Great breakfast and very friendly and helpful owner.

Very close to the beautiful Lakeside landing and lots of easy walks close by. Friendly helpful host who even carried our case upstairs for us. Great cooked to order breakfast. A quaint very old house.It was handy being able to park outside.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Some of the facilities were a little dated and not squeaky clean, but overall good. The host/hotel owner was very friendly and very helpful with helping us find local activities etc. The breakfast was great, tasty food and lots of options to choose from! I would recommend this place, and I would certainly stay again.

We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10
