Extremely Disappointing — Hotel Is Nothing Like Advertised! Our stay at this hotel was incredibly disappointing. The property is extremely outdated, poorly maintained, and, quite frankly, completely misrepresented by the photos on its website. The rooms are VERY dated, the hallway carpets were visibly filthy, and the hallways had an unpleasant smell. The beds were absolutely awful—uncomfortable and ridiculously squeaky. To give credit where it’s due, our room itself was clean, and the linens were freshly washed. You could smell the bleach, which was reassuring. However, there was a horrible noise coming from the bathroom whenever the shower wasn’t running. Thankfully, this issue was addressed and fixed during our stay. One of the most disgusting issues was the heating and cooling unit. Every single time it kicked on, our entire room smelled like an ashtray. It was absolutely awful! The pool area was probably the biggest example of how misleading this hotel’s advertising is. The website showed a pool area complete with slides, which was one of the features we were looking forward to. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived to discover that ALL the slides had been removed and the remaining pool area was in terrible condition. The pictures advertised online simply did not reflect what was actually available. I understand that hotels age and renovations are sometimes necessary. However, there is a difference between an older property and one that is poorly maintained.

The shower was in a very unkept condition. There was water on the floor by the toilet, like maybe the toilet was leaking. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work and was covered in dust and grime. The light fixtures in the bathroom had rust spots all over them. The desk and dresser was very beat up. The chair had a hole in the arm. The water was never a consistent temperature, it was constantly changing while you were in the shower.

When we got to hotel we looked at the pool area and the slide was gone. It was only the pool open. They gave us 4 wristbands and said anyone extra was $10. FOR JUST THE POOL. We got to the room and it smelt like mildew. Bathroom door wouldn’t shut. Beds were horrible and completely springy. We were in the room for 5 minutes before leaving and went and booked a stay somewhere else.
