Gute Lage, in Teilen renoviert, etwas in die Jahre gekommen, braucht außer noch mehr Pflege

I called them Friday to tell them the ferry wasn't running so I couldn't get there and they told me I did NOT have a reservation! I was charged anyway. What is this even about? I spoke to a human there.

When I arrived to check-in at 8pm on a Saturday night, the employee had just gotten in their car so they met me in front of the hotel and seemed annoyed. She had put my key in an envelope with my full name and room number in the box next to the front door that anyone could have gotten into. As a solo female traveler, that did not feel great, but luckily I showed up before anyone else (Expedia also has their check in hours open til midnight so either Expedia is wrong or the employee was leaving early). The room itself was fine, the beds were comfortable, but the bathroom is not in good shape.

The management didn’t tell us that the room wouldn’t be cleaned, so when we returned at 6 pm it was left disorderly and unclean with no clean bedding or towels. When we called the front desk, the manager was very rude and hung up the phone. In the morning when we asked to speak with the manager 3 times, no one showed up.
