Peaceful and quiet and slow and romantic. Would definitely stay again. We had a few hiccups. My biggest regret was not bringing our own beach chairs. At the price we paid my thought was that there would be no way that we wouldn’t have access to them, however they ran out and the two left were broken. Highly recommend they go to Costco and stock up on the 2/80 Tommy Bahama deal asap. Enjoyed the fire each night, smores. Looking forward to going in winter and hiding in a room with the huge soaking tub, glass of wine, fireplace.

Beautiful location and short walk to a lovely beach. Firepit was terrific. Bar downstairs is super cute and open for guests only this time of year. Room was massive. There are a lot of amenities on the property but you don’t learn about them at check in. Read the book left in the room to learn about all that’s on-prem.

This is a truly unique destination - calm, beautifu, quiet. The staff were enormously friendly and helpful. The Inn is absolutely gorgeous! Our room had excellent views of the water and the sunrise/sunset. The campfire pit is beautiful and easy to manage, the nightly s'mores are a wonderful touch! Breakfast was sumptuous and of outstanding quality. Perfect for a romantic getaway (such as ours) or for families with children (as for other guests). The nearby beaches were wonderful. The bikes, beach chairs/towels, and corn hole game were all welcome additions!

A beautiful piece of history! The house is lovely and unique! We stayed in the Lantern Room which had access to the cupola via a spiral staircase in the room! The view from there is spectacular! We ordered a charcuterie board for a light dinner and ate it in the cupola while enjoying the scenery. You can bike (free to use), walk along the shore, swim, enjoy meals out, read, play games and so much more! Delicious breakfast is provided each morning while warm cookies and lemonade are served each afternoon! You can relax or be as busy as you want to be!! We loved our 3 day visit!!

The Stone House was darling, thoughtful and perfect. My father and I were traveling together - but we both cannot wait to return with our spouses. It was so beautiful, charming and romantic. We appreciated the bikes available for use and proximity to some of our favorite beaches in Little Compton. Would love to return soon!

We loved our stay at the Stone House. The bedrooms were very spacious, clean, the view to the waterfront was stunning. It does not feel like staying at a hotel, feels more like staying at a cozy, fancy home, perfectly connected with nature. They also had continental breakfast, which I was not expecting. It was just perfect, because they have freshly made pastries, coffee, fruits. Then you can go and drink your coffee on the dinning room, or a cozy studio right next door which is open for everybody or outdoors. It was great. Highly recommend to pick this destination. Thank you very much!

It was ok. The private beach you have access to isn't a beach you would want to swim at. The steam shower control panel was broken and unreadable but we figured out how to use it. The couch had some weird stains on it. You could see dust and other debris under the bed. Old music system that was unusable because it was for first generation iPods only. For the price of the stay it would be nice to have more than a continental breakfast. The soaking tub was very nice and the property itself was beautiful. It's just overall not as nice as it looks online.

The property was very nice and peaceful. We only stayed overnight but the accommodations were great. The room was clean and spacious and the staff was very nice and helpful. In the morning they serve a light breakfast which consists of bagels, toast, croissants, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juices, milk, coffee and tea. If we were to go back we certainly would stay there

We recently stayed at the Stone House Inn and were disappointed by how misleading the room listing was. The inn is advertised as a historic property with charm and character, which is what drew us to book in the first place. However, when we arrived, we were placed in a separate concrete building that was not part of the historic inn at all. We were aware that each room is unique with charm and character, however this room was a concrete bunker with no charm or character to be found. Nowhere in the reservation process or on the website were we informed that our room would be outside of the main building. If this had been made clear, we would have made a different choice. The setting was peaceful and the grounds are beautiful, but the misleading presentation of the accommodations left us feeling misled and disappointed. I would strongly encourage the management to update the website and booking descriptions to more accurately reflect the differences between the historic inn and the Warren suite, located in a concrete bunker adjacent to the beautiful inn.

Beautiful property with close proximity to the ocean for wonderful morning walks. Service staff was great. Our only issue (which is a big one), was that the central geothermal AC wasn't working and it wasn't very cool in our room. I just wish they would have disclosed that on their website when booking the room. They touted major renovations a couple of years ago and mentioned the new geothermal AC replacement. They didn't disclose that the AC hasn't been working properly since they installed it.

We wanted to be on the beach in a quiet town and that’s what we got. We loved our room in Heron. We had a huge bath tub, lots of space, a lovely porch and lots of windows towards the water. The only bummer was the fireplace didn’t work. We really wanted to use that. And we could hear people walking around upstairs above us. The natural light in the bathroom was really nice. The sunset was beautiful when the weather cooperated. The walk to the beach is nice and easy. We saw lots of shore birds and ducks. The restaurant was nice, quaint, the food was good, as long as you’re okay waiting a bit for your drinks. I loved the campfire with everything you need for s'mores. Breakfast was healthy and thorough with lots of fresh fruit and tables overlooking the water to eat at. I wish I got to explore and see all the rooms because they seem unique.

Stone House is a beautiful property with comfortable rooms and gorgeous seaside surroundings. We love the non-commercial feel of Little Compton and easy walk to the beach. The only slight complaint I would have is that for the high priceof the Inn, the wifi service was terrible, there was no streaming services on the TV and they didn't include a free glass of wine with the afternoon horderves.

Unfortunately our stay at this very beautiful location was ruined by the 82 degree room that you could not cool down. We were told to open the doors to the balcony to let cool air in, but the screen window was missing and hornets were entering. We left in the middle of the night unable to tolerate the heat. From the website I thought it was a beachfront location but this is not the case. The tub was a square, uncomfortable box, not like the beautiful tub shown in the website photo. The staff was very friendly. You just need to understand what you are getting into if you stay here. For us it was unfortunately a ruined Mother’s Day getaway.

Our room had excellent views of the water and the sunrise/sunset. The campfire pit is beautiful and easy to manage, the nightly s'mores are a wonderful touch! The property was very nice and peaceful. We only stayed overnight but the accommodations were great. The room was clean and spacious and the staff was very nice and helpful. In the morning they serve a light breakfast which consists of bagels, toast, croissants, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juices, milk, coffee and tea. If we were to go back we certainly would stay there

The room and staff were great. The surrounding area was absolutely beautiful. We had a minor inconvenience with the room and the staff took care of us monetarily, which they didn’t have to do. It’s an excellent spot if you’re looking to unplug.

The Stone House Inn is a quaint inn with beauty and history, service and scenery. We went for a couple of days and couldn’t say enough about our stay. We stayed in the main house and our room overlooked the pond. The suite was large and the attendants were incredible. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The area is quiet- little cell service and just perfect for escaping life for a little while. We will absolutely be back.

Spectacular location and very quiet which was perfect. Only comment is that the included breakfast was a bit limited especially since there really aren’t many restaurants nearby. We wanted to be on the beach in a quiet town and that’s what we got. We loved our room in Heron. We had a huge bath tub, lots of space, a lovely porch and lots of windows towards the water. The only bummer was the fireplace didn’t work. We really wanted to use that. And we could hear people walking around upstairs above us. The natural light in the bathroom was really nice. The sunset was beautiful when the weather cooperated. The walk to the beach is nice and easy. We saw lots of shore birds and ducks. The restaurant was nice, quaint, the food was good, as long as you’re okay waiting a bit for your drinks. I loved the campfire with everything you need for s'mores. Breakfast was healthy and thorough with lots of fresh fruit and tables overlooking the water to eat at. I wish I got to explore and see all the rooms because they seem unique.

Idyllic is the word we use to describe this stay. The entire area is beautiful and the hotel and staff are great. We stayed in a room in the ‘barn’ which was entirely huge and enormous. The walk to the beaches is easy and worthwhile. The only possible con to recognize is the distance to sites like Newport, Westport, or even most restaurants since the hotel has a limited summer menu. However that distance also provides many benefits. We say this hotel is highly recommended.

Unfortunately our stay at this very beautiful location was ruined by the 82 degree room that you could not cool down. We were told to open the doors to the balcony to let cool air in, but the screen window was missing and hornets were entering. We left in the middle of the night unable to tolerate the heat. From the website I thought it was a beachfront location but this is not the case. The tub was a square, uncomfortable box, not like the beautiful tub shown in the website photo. The staff was very friendly. You just need to understand what you are getting into if you stay here. For us it was unfortunately a ruined Mother’s Day getaway.

A beautiful piece of history! The house is lovely and unique! We stayed in the Lantern Room which had access to the cupola via a spiral staircase in the room! The view from there is spectacular! We ordered a charcuterie board for a light dinner and ate it in the cupola while enjoying the scenery. You can bike (free to use), walk along the shore, swim, enjoy meals out, read, play games and so much more! Delicious breakfast is provided each morning while warm cookies and lemonade are served each afternoon! You can relax or be as busy as you want to be!! We loved our 3 day visit!!

On the downside, there is no on-site restaurant and you are on your own for lunches and dinners.

Location was not near beach and was a 15 min walk and didn’t provide any transportation except Bike. Reserved the junior suite which was not even in the main house and over in another building. Beds were super low to floor along with all furniture and not mid age friendly. Staff was pleasant.
