I loved the pool on the roof top with a bar and nice food. The hotel is a very unique place all around.

The Alma Rooftop Bar was our favorite. Great food and drinks and super friendly staff. Continental breakfast in the morning with fresh fruit and toast was nice. Clean beach and rooms. Great place for the price.

We really liked this hotel. It is right on the beach and they have a lot of chairs and lounges which always had room available (late July). The beach is kept reasonably clean and we didn’t see much sargassum. The front desk staff is wonderful and incredibly courteous and helpful. A beachfront hotel in a place like Holbox is never going to be as comfortable as a chain hotel in Cancun. The place was not super modern but they seemed to be working on it constantly. One day the eggs hadn’t arrived yet in the morning, and you have to be careful to keep the sliding glass doors shut so raccoons don’t come in your room. But this is part of what you expect when you stay on a small island with no paved roads. The shower is hot and the AC works. The beds are really hard and don’t have comforters on them, just a sheet and bedspread. It’s easy to get a taxi (150 MXN) to downtown or walk 20 min. The upstairs pool was great and had several different things to eat.

The hotel is in a quiet area, right on the beach. It has beach service with food and drink. The Alma bar pool is small and the water is cloudy. The ground pool is quieter and clearer. The grounds are the prettiest around as it looks like you're in a jungle setting. The hotel staff are amazing, especially Ana and Paul. The beach area is the best on the island as the water is clearer here than anywhere else. Only thing is at low tide you have to walk fairly far to reach the water. The upside is there's a beautiful sand bar exposed that you can walk for miles

The hotel is ideally located on the beach which is great for walking into town. The sand road required a flashlight at night because the potholes. The staff were very helpful with luggage, taxis and providing information. The rooftop pool was fun but the music was too loud for chatting.

The beach here is the best and you are right on the sand at the best part. The food and drinks service while on the beach is fantastic. You can spend the whole day there relaxing. Breakfast options onsite would give 5 atars for facilities. Property is a bit older and simple, but it is very well maintained and very clean. We were really happy with our stay here and would stay here again.

La ventaja mayor es que està frente a la playa, lo que le resta cualquier inconveniente leve que se pudiera tener. Lamentablemente la piscina que publican en su pàgina, no corresponde a ellos, lo trabajan por parte de otra persona y lamentable que el horario de apertura sea a una hora poco atractivo (11:00), seguramente se deberà de consumir algùn alimento para poder hacer uso de ella. Tampoco es el tamaño que uno cree que tiene, la realidad..... es pequeña. El servicio de desayuno es un continental, por lo que se puede pedir algo adicional a la carta, con un cargo extra. Las habitaciones, todo bien.

The pools were not too clean. And one of them was more for kid than for adults.

Holbox is beautiful and the staff here were very friendly. I liked the they have drinking water available. We did lose electricity and water during our stay for a little bit. The hotel needs some maintenance with the swimming pools. My kid was excited for the pool but we didn’t use them because the walls were green with mildew and the water murky. Overall it was a decent stay.

They just need update new towels

La limpieza excelente en toda la habitación y hotel, todo el personal muy amable, muy recomendable. Te ponen garrafones de agua con jarra y vasos lo cual me pareció excelente por ecología y también para tener agua a todas horas sin problema. Shampoo y jabon también disponible en despachadores y no en botellas ni bolsas.

We didn’t like the hard beds and all of our pillows and pillow covers were full of stains. The towels in the shower were all old. Broken ac remote holding battery with tape.

Unfortunately they put us (family with 2 little kids) in a room with several spots of black mold. Service on-site tried to find another room, but no availability for our entire stay, so we needed to change hotel. Communication later has been terrible, management didn’t respond to my calls and e-mails and declined any responsibility through Expedia. staff was friendly and it’s a nice location. Please be aware that you need to budget in having breakfast off-site. The kids pool was filthy and you don’t want to swim there at all. We moved to Hotel Xaloc, it’s a little bit more costly, but breakfast is included and it’s way better maintained.

We have stayed at this hotel for 5 times already. There are having renovations which is good as they haven’t had it in a while. The pool was cloudy and needs some good cleaning. They have now breakfast which was pretty good and not expensive. I still recommend the place but need to take care of the details.

Need better towels, drain odor was evident. Service was good overall!

Charmerende hotel med god beliggenhed i første række til stranden. Staff er meget søde og hjælpsomme. Hotellet ligger 15 minutters gåtur fra centrum eller 150 pesos i en taxi. Strandene er KLART bedst øst for centrum! Billederne svare ikke helt til virkeligheden. Nogle værelser er temmelig slidte. På Hotellets roof top pool er der en fantastisk udsigt, men den er en del af en bar, hvor det forventes at du køber mad og drinks hvis du skal bruge poolen. Baren spiller også virkelig høj party-musik, så hotelvæggene ryster. Sjovt for nogle, men ikke for familier.

My friend and I visited Holbox for the first time and we absolutely loved everything. Villas tiburon is located very close to punta mosquito so it had a beautiful location. Staff was nice and courteous. They do include a free light breakfast. The only downside I had was the beds were not comfortable at all, I did have some trouble sleeping. Other than that I do recommend it overall.

Bed was hard as a rock. Got bitten up by mesquitos while we slept. No small bath wash towels. Not enough towels. Construction going on and management didnt think to cover bathroom windows for privacy since workers were repairing the palapas.

Property is nice enough but Expedia overcharges for this place and also there is a surcharge at the hotel. Property is a few steps above a hostel. It would be fine if the hotel price were not overcharged by wxpedia. Book direct! Staff is nice. Rooms are dark and small.

Rooftop bar plays loud music during the afternoons, which is sometimes annoying. Beach is beautiful, but we has an unusual amount of smelly seaweed during our visit. Free fruit plate at breakfast was very nice. Friendly staff, and most speak a good amount of English.

Overall great property! The grounds were well maintained and kept clean. The pool was really small and had two hammocks hanging in it. We imagined people sitting in it all day drinking and peeing in it. We did not use the pool. The staff were kind and helpful. They allowed us to store our bags at the front office and have access to the property for our super early arrival and super late departure. They charged 200 pesos per hour for late check out, which we thought was over priced. The rooms were spacious and the beds were on opposite sides of the room, which was awesome for traveling with a friend/privacy. Breakfast was included; plate service, one piece of toast, some fruit, coffee, and horchata/jamaica. Service was good. They provided shampoo, conditioner and soap in the bathrooms and one towel each. No blow dyer. The water pressure in the bathroom was fair and the water temperature what normally hot but could be cold at days end. There is a daily maid service. They made animals with the towels with your bed everyday. Wifi was pretty good but worked best outside of the room. AC was excellent. Location was excellent. You could walk to Punta Mosqutio in about 20 minutes. Absolutely stunning. Walking to town was about 10 minutes and I felt very safe at all hours of the day. Taxi was 150 pesos from the ferry to Villas Tiburon. We only at at the Alma bar once- ceviche was excellent. There were beach loungers with bar service/reasonable pricing.

Awesome place to stay! Very close to the beach and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and service was very nice. The local wildlife was cool too lol. Please don’t be alarmed if Ricky the Raccoon walks up to you on the balcony at nice looking for a snack. They’re friendly enough to move out of the way. And the iguanas are lounge lizards catching the sun. My only complaint was that the beds were too firm for my liking. First couple of nights I would wake up a little stiff. But if your a fun mattress person then your in luck. To be far I travel a lot and most Central American places have firm mattresses so I was to be expected. Awesome place to stay and visit. Definitely worth the trip

The front desk girl was terrible. She had. O business being behind a desk while thy tell you full concierge service. She doesn’t understand English . I made plans to get a pick up taxi. ..ferry boat and return taxi. She nodded her head. I gave paper to her all written out and she said okay I got it and confirmed to me that it was all taken care of. Next day she had nothing arranged. She apologized profusely but why she told me she understood and all Taken care is a mystery to me z. She screwed our return home trip up and cost us a day

It was beautiful to stay here! The girl at the reception helped us since we had a little accident.

We had a great stay. Staff at the restaurant were phenomenal. Theyveven made my wife a special soup when she wasn't feeling well. We would definitely return.

Great boutique hotel with beach decor. We were treated with dignity and respect. They accommodated our request for an upgrad. The location was in the quieter end of the beach. It’s so lovely and easy to walk the beach that we really got our steps in!

Love that it has a prime beach location, it's right on the hotel zone per se and a 20 min walk from the downtown area of the island. You will definitely get your steps in going back and forth, but if you don't mind and like the exercise then great option. It's also very dedicated to eco-friendliness which is great to see and has a lovely rooftop pool that I didn't really see available in any of the other hotels.

I loved the beach in front of resort, but I feel they could have cleaned it a few days a week. Room was average, resort could use some updating. Beautiful plants on property. Food was good- the waiters were excellent , and always checked in on us . I recommend the burger- it was excellent and the guacamole !

Please read it all. Karina on the reception is such a sweety. So all in all a nice experience BUT I got the feeling we where there to be milked for our pesos. The included breakfast was ok, 1 cup of filter coffee, 2 half of toast bread, eighter jam or butter. and say 10 small pcs. of fruits, 1 cup of water and 1 cup of rice milk. I encountered few interesting episodes. If you wanted a second cup of (cheap) filter coffe or an extra piece of bread it was against payment. The first morning my children got a tea instead of coffe and where not asked about water nor milk. The second morning I again asked for tea and that once I left to go back to the room I was asked to pay as only coffe was included. I became quite irritated as I did not feel we where welcome as we did not consume any other payable service like eggs and so but to ask me to pay for a ridiculous cup of hot water and a tea bag because I have to children and not drinking coffe that was not appreciated and so I had to ask the manager of the little bar/restaurant if he was serious with his demands, and guess what he was. So I had politely informed about my opinion of service level and customer service as I believe did not request anything out of the ordinary, By the way we have not been asked if we wanted water or milk. So Hotel is the last one on that stretch and is fine, a kettle for a quick coffee in the room would be nice, would be nice in the room, but bring food related business elsewhere.

Grande chambre et accès a la plage magnifique et pratique. Dommage que la route de taxi passe entre les hotels . Cela fait beaucoup de bruit et de dérangement dans le lieu qui ne semlbe pas fait pour cela. Mais Holbox est comme cela... La Ville devrait modifié cela. Le personelle d'acceuil était très bon et serviable. Le petit déjeuner inclus nous a suffit mais ce n'était pas très copieux. Les prix des extra et réstaurant était un peu prohibitf pour le mexique. Nous en aurions pris pas mal plus si cela était seulement 30% moins cher. Au lieux de cela , nous n'avions jsute rien pris du tout. Cependant je reviendrais en prenant mes précautions sur ce sujet.

There was an extra charge for a payment with card on the roof bar that was a little weird. But other than that it was a good stay. Would go there again.
