Knights Inn Augusta at Deans Bridge Rd

This was, unfortunately, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The room itself was in terrible condition. My child walked around the room barefoot for only a few minutes, and the bottoms of his feet were completely black from how dirty the floors were. The comforter had a large tear with the stuffing coming out (almost like cigarette burns), and there was a broken wall fixture that looked like it had been damaged for quite some time. None of this gave the impression that the room had been properly cleaned or maintained. I was grateful that the hotel provided some shampoo packets and face wash but then didn’t offer hand soap??? The hotel advertised free Wi-Fi, but we were never given a password or instructions on how to access it. It also advertised free HBO Max, but there were no directions on how to use it, so we weren’t able to take advantage of that either. I know I could’ve gone to ask but with the locked area, I figured it wasn’t even worth it to leave the room. The overall atmosphere of the property made us feel very unsafe. The lobby stayed locked and the staff was tucked behind a back room when not dealing with guests, which gave the impression that security was a concern for the part of town we stayed in I guess. Throughout our stay, there was a lot of suspicious activity around the property, including people coming and going from rooms in a way that made me uncomfortable. Unsafe area. Left after 3 hours to go find another place to stay, as we were fearful of even spending the night there.
