I am writing to express my significant dissatisfaction with certain aspects of my stay at Hotel Centurion, particularly concerning the misleading advertisement and subsequent handling of the swimming pool facilities. Upon booking, the hotel's prominent advertising of a swimming pool was a key factor in my decision. However, it was only upon arrival that I discovered an additional fee is required to use this amenity. This undisclosed charge is deceptive and feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, which is unacceptable for a hotel of your supposed standard. My frustration was further compounded when I purchased a full-day pool ticket. I was explicitly informed that I could enter and exit the pool area freely throughout the day. Yet, upon attempting to re-enter, I was abruptly told that I should have notified the staff of my intention to leave in advance. This crucial information was never communicated to me at the time of purchase, leading to unnecessary inconvenience and a feeling of being misled. Compounding this issue, the ticket attendant's behavior was profoundly unprofessional and disrespectful. During our discussion, which I conducted in English, she proceeded to make disparaging remarks about me in German to other customers in the queue, all while they clearly found amusement in the situation. As a non-German speaker, it was deeply insulting and humiliating to be the subject of ridicule in a language I do not understand, especially when the interaction was clearly negative

The hotel was okay, but some of the staff were really bad. We started our stay very poorly, with a very grumpy and unfriendly reception at 5:30 PM. We practically had the keys thrown at us and couldn't get directions to our room, nor was there any guidance about the hotel's facilities, etc. We had been looking forward to a swim, but we never managed to find the pool due to a lack of guidance. The same grumpy person was at breakfast, where we were again greeted by the same scowling person. We could see that German guests were treated well; it seemed a bit like she didn't like us because we were from abroad. On the positive side, the receptionist who checked us out was friendly and accommodating. But it was a little late, and we didn't get much out of our stay.

I viewed the Hotels.com pictures of the pools and mistakenly thought there were pools at this hotel because there are pictures of pools. To be clear, this property does not have any pools on their property. All the pictures on Hotels.com are of a neighboring property that you can go to and enter if you purchase access during limited hours. The area is a nice area with multiple restaurants that you can visit and they're all really nice. The town is a small town and most things close down pretty early (including the recreation facility that is pictured in on the website with the pools). We booked this hotel because we thought it had pools and a breakfast included. There was a limited breakfast, but it was offered at a time we could not attend and there actually are no pools on property...so we didn't have the breakfast either. They also don't have air conditioning (which is fine and common), but the beds only had heavy blankets. It was very hot when we visited, so we opened the balcony door to let in some air, but there was no screen either. I spent the night alternating between going under thick blankets in the heat, or going out of the blankets to expose myself to the bugs coming through the door. It's probably fine most nights...
