The location blown my mind away. Absolutely gorgeous view, and the staff was great. My concern is sharing bathrooms with other guests. I guess I didn’t pay attention to that aspect because I would have not booked a stay in a place where you have to share showers and toilets with people you don’t know. Specially when traveling with children that they don’t know better and take less precautions than us adults when it comes to showering and using the restroom. I will also suggest to add fans in the rooms because it was very hot inside the room the entire night. Although, the room had a window, it was not screened for us to opened and let fresh air come inside. That was a bit disappointing during our stay.

This property is GORGEOUS. The views are absolutely insane. The shared toilet situation isn’t so bad considering there are 2 on the main floor, 2 on the first, 2 on the second, and 1 on the third, with a multitude of showers as well. They also have a washer and dryer which is awesome. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything, but the rooms are quaint and cabin-esque, the views are insane, the staff is so friendly, and the restaurant across the stress is delicious and not too expensive. There’s also a full convenience store with food to cook in the kitchen in the lodge! Would definitely recommend.

A localização e a vista são perfeitas, uma vila pequena com mercado perto, e paisagens fantásticas. Atendimento muito cordial, cozinha, banheiros. Mas o hotel é muito barulhento, portas, estruturas, camas, além de oferecerem poucas tomadas no quarto, apenas uma!

Habitaciones sencillas con lo básico, baño y duchas compartidas. Hay un comedor y cocina muy prácticos en el caso de llevar comida, dispone de todo lo necesario vajilla, cubiertos, nevera, microondas…Encantadora, muy amable y servicial la señora que nos recibió en la recepción. Lo que más nos gustó es la ubicación, el lugar nos resultó espectacular.

Superbe auberge situé au bord du lac. Très propre. Nous y avons séjourné avec deux enfants en bas âge. Le personnel est très agréable et disponible. Le restaurant en face est top mais attention très vite remplis certains jours ou il n’y a que deux restaurants d’ouverts dans tout le village. Les sanitaires sont sur le palier mais nous n’avons jamais eu besoin de faire la queue au vu du nombre disponible. Les draps sont fournis. Nous le recommandons nous qui avons en tête les auberge de notre jeunesse et avions peur avec des enfants.

Went with my parents and my brother. Stayed for three days. Had good experience with Mountain view Room for four people. Clean and finely spacious. It was noisy at times but were given ear plugs. Shared bathroom and toilets were clean and okay. It's far away from main hub hence only one bus every hour. There is a shared kitchen but no stove only fridge and microwave with some cutleries. Cannot cook food inside the room but only in the kitchen. All over, worth the stay closer to lake.

We LOVED this location. We had a lake view room with a balcony which we very much enjoyed. Highly recommend staying in Iseltwald versus Interlaken because of the charm of the small village and the setting. We didnt see much of Interlaken but it seemed commercialized and didnt have much character, but it was the main transportation hub. If you dont mind coordinating with the bus schedule to get to Iseltwald, it was such a nicer spot to be. The hostel was very clean, the staff were wonderful and very helpful, the view was amazing and we appreciated having the outdoor space to use and common dining room/living room and access to the kitchen. The only drawback is that the building is older and the walls were very thin, but the guests were very respectful and fairly quiet so we slept quite well. They provide earplugs too! Would definitely recommend this place regardless!

Ok voy a hacer yo comentario totalmente objetivo. La locación increíble, vista insuperable, la atención del personal muy amable, pero es un hostal y como tal es normal esperar que la habitación no sea cómoda y que el baño sea compartido; sin embargo, mi mala suerte es que me picaron “bed bugs” (algo que también pudiera considerarse común en los hostales). Je déconseille fortement on est rentré avec des boutons plein les bras et les jambes juste après notre nuit au lake lodge hostel. On entend tout les voisins de chambres, les pas également impossible de fermer l’œil de la nuit!! N’y allez pas!!!!

Room was clean and the view from the room was breathtaking. Supportive staff. Kitchen with all required amenities. Just one thing to keep in mind, the staff is available only from 8am to 11am and 4pm to 8pm. So if you are planning to come from 11am to 4pm, then you gotta wait. No other option. Highly recommended!!

The location was excellent. We were looking forward to stay (3 days 2 nights) and enjoy the lake view and the surrounding. Unfortunately, on the first night of our stay, my family members and myself were bitten by bed bugs in our bunk beds. our arms and legs were swollen so we have to leave immediate.

The hotel is in a nice walkable area. The view from the room is beautiful. Overall it is clean. But the floor and wall don’t have good noise isolation so it is quite noisy when people walking on the upper floor.

The hostel was very clean, the staff were wonderful and very helpful, the view was amazing and we appreciated having the outdoor space to use and common dining room/living room and access to the kitchen. The only drawback is that the building is older and the walls were very thin, but the guests were very respectful and fairly quiet so we slept quite well. They provide earplugs too! Would definitely recommend this place regardless!

Our stay at the Lake Lodge Hostel was great! Staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations. They provided a bus pass to get into Interlaken and back for the duration of our stay which was an added bonus. Although there’s no air conditioning, it cooled down at night and we had no problems sleeping. Definitely recommend staying in this hostel!

Il est dommage que les autres voyageurs qui étaient là le 23/09 se soient moqués des règles de calme après 22h et aient profité de l'absence de personnel pour faire du bruit dans la salle du rez-de-chaussée jusqu'à 2h puis 4h du matin (nous étions au 1er)

Just one thing to keep in mind, the staff is available only from 8am to 11am and 4pm to 8pm. So if you are planning to come from 11am to 4pm, then you gotta wait. No other option. Highly recommended!!

Just keep in mind that if you’re planning on getting to Interlaken you probably will need a car. It’s a ten minute drive. But the place is beautiful right on the lake. The staff was super helpful and friendly.

The staff was extremely helpful and we rented eBikes and rode right from the property. It is a little distance from Interlaken train stations, but the stay included bas passes within Interlaken. The Property Manager did an excellent job for us on both breakfast and during our stay. The property could use some upgrades, but again the fact that it is a hostel was well communicated.

The lodge is in a beautiful little town, has all the services you might need, the staff is extremely nice!! the little downside is not in the hostel but in the town, because is a little town there is only one convenience store, there are some restaurants but when we got there, everything was already closed, but the views make you forget about everything.

This property is GORGEOUS. The views are absolutely insane. The shared toilet situation isn’t so bad considering there are 2 on the main floor, 2 on the first, 2 on the second, and 1 on the third, with a multitude of showers as well. They also have a washer and dryer which is awesome. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything, but the rooms are quaint and cabin-esque, the views are insane, the staff is so friendly, and the restaurant across the stress is delicious and not too expensive. There’s also a full convenience store with food to cook in the kitchen in the lodge! Would definitely recommend.

Habitaciones sencillas con lo básico, baño y duchas compartidas. Hay un comedor y cocina muy prácticos en el caso de llevar comida, dispone de todo lo necesario vajilla, cubiertos, nevera, microondas…Encantadora, muy amable y servicial la señora que nos recibió en la recepción. Lo que más nos gustó es la ubicación, el lugar nos resultó espectacular.

Superbe auberge situé au bord du lac. Très propre. Nous y avons séjourné avec deux enfants en bas âge. Le personnel est très agréable et disponible. Le restaurant en face est top mais attention très vite remplis certains jours ou il n’y a que deux restaurants d’ouverts dans tout le village. Les sanitaires sont sur le palier mais nous n’avons jamais eu besoin de faire la queue au vu du nombre disponible. Les draps sont fournis. Nous le recommandons nous qui avons en tête les auberge de notre jeunesse et avions peur avec des enfants.

Went with my parents and my brother. Stayed for three days. Had good experience with Mountain view Room for four people. Clean and finely spacious. It was noisy at times but were given ear plugs. Shared bathroom and toilets were clean and okay. It's far away from main hub hence only one bus every hour. There is a shared kitchen but no stove only fridge and microwave with some cutleries. Cannot cook food inside the room but only in the kitchen. All over, worth the stay closer to lake.

Just bring own laundry soap and fabric conditioner. The lake view room that we had is a bit small size for 4 guests but it’s okay as we are there only to sleep. The mattress has done its time and I think needs replacing. Stunning views of the lake and surrounding areas from your balcony. We had a chance to swim in the lake, which is just few steps from the hostel. They provide towels but there is a charge if you swap it for a new one. The kitchen is also complete with cutleries, microwave, kettle and free tea and coffee. No oven or gas stove. They have plug adaptors if you need to use some electrical items. The hostel is also 5-10 minutes walk to CLOY pier / Strand hotel for the korean movie filming location. Cleaners are present every morning to clean toilets and empty rooms. Your room key is used to lock doors at night. Free Parking at the back of the hostel. Overall, our stay was good and will recommend the place if you are okay with basic comfort.
