Hotel was in a great location in downtown Zurich. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean. The only things that we didn't like were that there was no air conditioning (the room got uncomfortably hot at night which made it difficult to sleep -- we tried the fan in the room but it was too loud even with earplugs and we tried opening the window but it was too loud because the clocktower chimes every half hour). Also, the washroom door faces the door and is clear glass (not frosted) so it's not very private. The elevator is kind of slow, but I think it's because it's an old building.

Such a lovely little hotel with delightful and helpful staff. Our room was quite spacious and immaculately clean with comfortable beds. It is close to all public transportation and very walkable. It also has an elevator for those that might not be able to navigate the steps.

I love this hotel, walking out to the what looked like beautiful cobble stone court yards in the mornings, and returning to such a lively court yards filled with people , bistro's resturants with tables outside and people enjoying different cuisines. There are several restaurants to choose from, one being a sushi restaurant adjacent to the hotel, very good sushi! The room was a very good size, comfortable, with a little kitchenett, living area and bedroom. Comfortable bed. Also the hotel was a short walk to river, where the boat house is to catch the ferries, a short walk to the opera house and court. A short walk to the train station. It was nice to sit and enjoy music by the river. A 10 minute walk from the hotel. Everything you need, or need to get to is within walking distance of the quaint historic hotel in old town Zürich. I for sure will recommend this hotel and or teturn to stay. Love it! Theres a little noise from people enjoying the evening at the restaurants, but i enjoyed the sounds and it didnt prevent me from getting a good nights sleep.

Such a wonderfully divine stay at this charming hotel. We couldn’t have been happier with the location, the room and the gorgeous staff, for whom nothing was ever too much trouble (and who provided such great recommendations). Despite being in the middle of the action we found the area to be tranquil enough that sleep was no issue. The room was stunning and so well designed - and the little added extras were much appreciated. Being able to enjoy the private balcony was an added delight. Would stay again without any hesitation if we ever find ourselves in Zurich in the future.

We LOVED our stay! If I could give the staff more than five stars I would - they were all absolutely wonderful, helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel itself is very cool, and we made a lot of use of our balcony. I would stay again if I am in Zurich.

This charming boutique hotel is located in the heart of Old Town with very access to the tram and walking distance to the must see sites including museums. I loved my king room that had the feel of home with under lighting and bay windows overlooking the cobble stone court yard. Equipped with an upscale Nespresso machine with complimentary sodas and juice, including chilled glasses. The attention to detail was phenomenal which also included every size electrical adapter in the desk. Zurich id now my new Paris primarily because of this charming hotel that I plan to return yearly.

The accomodation was very good, not so bigroom but we manage to have our 5-6 luggage inside, we are mostly outside everyday with our tour. 10 mins walk to the Train & bus station, just use google maps. So close to everything, restaurants shops bars pubs,, will be back here again and recommend to others, the receptionist is very helpful and friendly..

Hotel was in a great location in downtown Zurich. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean. The only things that we didn't like were that there was no air conditioning (the room got uncomfortably hot at night which made it difficult to sleep -- we tried the fan in the room but it was too loud even with earplugs and we tried opening the window but it was too loud because the clocktower chimes every half hour). Such a wonderfully divine stay at this charming hotel. We couldn’t have been happier with the location, the room and the gorgeous staff, for whom nothing was ever too much trouble (and who provided such great recommendations). Despite being in the middle of the action we found the area to be tranquil enough that sleep was no issue. The room was stunning and so well designed - and the little added extras were much appreciated. Being able to enjoy the private balcony was an added delight. Would stay again without any hesitation if we ever find ourselves in Zurich in the future.

This charming boutique hotel is located in the heart of Old Town with very access to the tram and walking distance to the must see sites including museums. I loved my king room that had the feel of home with under lighting and bay windows overlooking the cobble stone court yard. Equipped with an upscale Nespresso machine with complimentary sodas and juice, including chilled glasses. The attention to detail was phenomenal which also included every size electrical adapter in the desk. Zurich id now my new Paris primarily because of this charming hotel that I plan to return yearly.

I love this hotel, walking out to the what looked like beautiful cobble stone court yards in the mornings, and returning to such a lively court yards filled with people , bistro's resturants with tables outside and people enjoying different cuisines. There are several restaurants to choose from, one being a sushi restaurant adjacent to the hotel, very good sushi! The room was a very good size, comfortable, with a little kitchenett, living area and bedroom. Comfortable bed. Also the hotel was a short walk to river, where the boat house is to catch the ferries, a short walk to the opera house and court. A short walk to the train station. It was nice to sit and enjoy music by the river. A 10 minute walk from the hotel. Everything you need, or need to get to is within walking distance of the quaint historic hotel in old town Zürich. I for sure will recommend this hotel and or teturn to stay. Love it! Theres a little noise from people enjoying the evening at the restaurants, but i enjoyed the sounds and it didnt prevent me from getting a good nights sleep.

Such an amazing location and beautiful restaurant and exterior. My room was small and the bathroom extremely small but I thought it was decent for the trade off to have this perfect location BUT THE ROOM HAD NO AC! And it was 90 degrees. Apparently at the reservation stage you can choose with or without AC. Somehow I missed that or the option was not made clear. It made the nights and sleeping very difficult with just a fan and open window. So I guess my review is great location make sure you get AC.

What a wonderful hotel! We love Zurich but had not had the pleasure of staying at the Platzhirsch Zurich before. Fantastic location! In the middle of shopping and restaurants and still quiet and friendly. The rooms were unique and so well designed. The alcoves and sitting areas in addition to the sleeping areas were cozy but roomy and so welcoming. The breakfasts were lovely and the staff were friendly and fun. As we told them upon leaving, we plan to visit Zurich again (hopefully often) and will always try to stay at the Platzhirsch.

Day 3 of my adventure to sweltering Zurich I needed to alter my plan to bunk at my daughter’s apartment ( no air conditioning there ) . While the room here was comfortable, it was frankly more expensive than two nights at a neighboring hotel on two previously nights ( no room available at first hotel for night 3). I guess that I needed to pay my “Dummy Tax” for not deciding earlier. 🤔
