Awesome little motel run by a very kind and welcoming couple- very clean and tidy- we had a great stay- our room was on small side but perfect for us. Nice picnic/park area in middle of the grounds with beautiful gardens.Would highly recommend.

I was for a place about an hour away to hunker down and get some work done. The place is really cute, has a nostalgic cabin feel and walking distance to old town Nevada City. I stayed in the Winter room which had the cutest little kitchen. Oh and its dog friendly with special towels, treats, poop bags and bowls for them. Wifi wasn't that strong but I bet not a lot of people go there to do work. Ha! I would go again but not to do work.

The owner of the property was so friendly and welcoming. She gave us plenty of pointers for shopping/food/hiking to make the most out of our time there. Pet friendly, the owner even provides a food bowl and treats for the furry friends! Definitely worth a visit!

We love the location and charm of this classic motel. The folks who run it are lovely people, too! Plus, it's very pet friendly. Our room came with a dog bowl, towel, biscuits and doggie bags, and there is a nice lawn in the center of the court. This was our second stay here, and we'll definitely stay there again!

We stayed in 'The Cabin '. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The cabin had a small yard and patio that was great for having some wine and cheese. The kitchen it was stocked with some basic utensils and the 2 burner stove worked great to cook a little breakfast. Great location because it's only a 7 minute drive to either Nevada City Fairgrounds or downtown Grass Valley city. However downtown Nevada City is within walking distance of the motel. Go straight down Pine Street about 1 mile. But if you drive remember to bring quarters for the parking meters. Parking meters are free on Sundays.

Cute little place, very convenient to downtown, darling neighborhood. Stayed in the River Room is was okay. A little musty smell. Hosts were very nice but I was told I would get a text with my code when check in was available to access the door...I did not, had to go to the front desk. I asked at check out for a receipt and was told I would get an email, two days later still have not :-( Sent a text, will call next.

The room had a non-functioning refrigerator and they cheerfully gave me a pleasant upgraded room, #3. Side note, room 3 1/2 is quite small with twin beds, but nicely done. Pleasant owners.

We stayed in the Cabin. It was extremely comfortable and quiet, and the owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating. I will absolutely stay there again. Important to know: it’s a cabin, not a hotel room, so set your expectations appropriately. That said, it has an amazing memory foam mattress and pillows that far exceed the average hotel room. The room is heated by a small gas fireplace stove, which made it extremely cozy when I visited at the end of November.

We stayed in the Cabin. It was extremely comfortable and quiet, and the owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating. I will absolutely stay there again. Excellent location tucked away among the beautiful Victorian style homes. It's close enough to downtown to walk as well. The cabins have all of the comforts of home. They really thought of everything! Ice is available, pool, and full vintage kitchen with dishes, iron, shampoo/conditioner, coffee maker, microwave. Check in is simple since the doors have digital locks. It was nice not to have the option of just getting the code before check in if we were arriving late. Parking is right in front of your room so it's very easy to load and unload your vehicle. Will definitely be returning. Easy access to the main roads as well. There is a common area with charcoal, BBQ and a little creek to enjoy under the trees. Property owners are incredible! Very helpful and friendly and make sure you have everything you need on your adventure and are knowledgeable of the area. True hospitality , 10/10!

It's a one-of-a-kind place - sort of like a motel on steroids. Each room has its own meticulously curated 'theme'. The bed was comfortable. Everything works and the front desk staff is top-notch.

Friendly staff. Clean room. Quiet. Conveniently located just blocks from downtown Nevada city. We were able to park our car and walk to shops restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay here again!
