Sweetfield Manor is so charming! Spotless property, friendly team members, yummy restaurant, spa cabanas are beautiful. The pool is unique and a hidden little gem. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beds are very comfy. The grounds are so beautiful. What a perfect place for an intimate wedding. Love that checkout is at 12 so we could enjoy the outdoor space longer. As we were reading on the patio, a couple dozen peacocks came wandering towards us and hung out casually. Beautiful! Even a trio of monkeys stopped by. We highly recommend Sweetfield manor!

Lovely quiet and calming environment. The bed was super comfortable. The pool is unique and lovely. We had a complementary 15 minute head and neck massage. Some of the furniture is a little tired. Our dining experience could have been improved with full availability on the menu. The food was good though. Overall a lovely experience.

The manor provides for a truly unique experience. I have always wanted to stay in a historical plantation property. Only one way to describe it. Superb! Make sure to have spa services during your stay. Caroline's spa treatment (invigorating scrub & massage) was excellent. We were guests for a special occasion, the choice of this venue adds to a most memorable visit.

Tout d’abord, l’accueil et le personnel n’ont pas été très agreable. Pour la chambre, le wifi ne captais pas, hormis dans la salle de bain ce sui n’est pas pratique. Pas d’eau chaude les 2 premiers jours, à peine tiède. La piscine n’était pas d’une propreté exemplaire. Enfin, le summum, c’est d’attirer les clients avec une offre spéciale avec massage en duo pour l’annuler au dernier moment. Au global, si j’avais su j’aurais choisi un autre hôtel car celui ci ne mérite pas ses notes.

The spa was unavailable and there was no response to our emails or Instagram DMs when we made enquiries before arrival. There are no phones in the rooms, so communication is done via WhatsApp. However, there was no response on WhatsApp after around 3:30 PM, so it’s best to ask any questions before then. A US $250 security deposit is required upon arrival. The rooms are equipped with basic kettles, not coffee makers. TV channels are not straightforward to access and although staff were supposed to assist, they never showed up.

We LOVED this hotel. The grounds were beautiful, the staff was very kind and helpful, wonderful pool, and the deck offered stunning sunsets. We loved the vibe of the restraurant and the secluded setting. 5 stars for sure. Make sure you go down to Pebbles beach early to see the horses in the water. It's not to be missed.

The stay was interesting. While most of the staff was friendly, there was a lot of challenges. When we did get our room clean, the staff would only make the bed up and rinse out the sink. Any sand or hair or soap scum that was left from previous showers was in there right after cleaning. We stayed from Saturday to Friday and we only received clean towels upon arrival and the day before we checked out. I accidentally left sleep shorts on the bed and when I was checking the room to ensure I had all of my things before checkout, I found my shorts was still under the comforter from days prior, despite getting housekeeping services multiple times since then. There's also a lot of peacocks on the property- they're beautiful- but loud in the early morning, so be aware if you're a light sleeper and like to sleep in. Additionally, the bathroom door cannot fully close (always have a gap) and the lock look like it was broken or intentionally removed from the bathroom door. Lastly, there seem to be critters there. We stayed on the 2nd floor and used the closet to put some clothes. On one of the white tees and on the shelf, we saw a few mice droppings.

Slept terribly. The room I stayed in must have been above a type of generator because the noise was loud throughout the night, add on a peacock in the back area calling every 2 minutes the whole night, I was luckily to get any sleep at all. Booked this hotel because of its supposed proximity to the US Embassy with Google maps showing a 6 minute distance, which turned out to be 15 minutes.

Sweetfield manor is great place to stay, we spent 3 nights here. Overall, the it has an old colonial manor charm, surrounded by nature, lots of peacocks, monkeys, etc and very serene. If you're looking for somewhere private and away from people, this would be the perfect place. The only drawback (and a BIG one at that) is that there is barely any staff around after 3-4 pm. Everyone leaves for the night with only a guard on property, who is also sometimes difficult to locate. For most of our stay, we were the only guests on the whole property, which gave us privacy but also made us worried. The manager was responsive to our concerns over chat on WhatsApp but no response at night. We were locked in on one of the nights and couldn't find the guard or ANYONE at all at the property, I tried calling and messaging on WhatsApp - but no response. I did not get a call back in the morning either. The room service and house keeping at Sweetfield is great, we eventually used our complimentary spa voucher but we were initially told the spa service isn't even available, if that's the case it should be removed from the description. I would give our stay a 3.5/5 rating because of how we were in the midst of beautiful nature, privacy and serenity, but the sometimes felt 'lack of safety'. The property definitely needs more staff on site, especially overnight.

Food at the restaurant was expensive and small portions, The hotel grounds are lovely, but the hotel is inconvenient. At least 25 mins walk to the beach, and in a rundown area. There are no amenities nearby. Hire cars are expensive if booked from a mainstream rental companies, but local rental companies are cheaper

A perfect ending to a Caribbean holiday! Sweetfield Manor is elegant and relaxed at the same time. The staff were so gracious and friendly; we felt as though they had been eagerly awaiting our arrival!

One should be aware that no dinner is available at the hotel from Saturday through Monday — the restaurant is closed. Unless you have a car, there are no cafes or groceries accessible nearby, and no snack machine in the hotel either. On top of that, it is not safe to walk on foot after the sun is down, which is around 6:30 pm. Yet, the hotel's staff is not there for you.

The spa was unavailable and there was no response to our emails or Instagram DMs when we made enquiries before arrival. There are no phones in the rooms, so communication is done via WhatsApp. However, there was no response on WhatsApp after around 3:30 PM, so it’s best to ask any questions before then. A US $250 security deposit is required upon arrival. The rooms are equipped with basic kettles, not coffee makers. TV channels are not straightforward to access and although staff were supposed to assist, they never showed up.

Sehr großzügige Zimmer in einem ehemaligen plantagenhaus, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, im Garten laufen zahlreiche Pfauen umher. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend. Einziger Nachteil ist, dass man auf ein Auto angewiesen ist, da die langen Fußwege in die Stadt und an den Strand wenig Spaß machen

Staff were very friendly and accommodating of our requests. Rooms were sufficiently spacious and comfortable with a good blend of historic and contemporary. Property was also in am excellent location for movement around the island.

The historic hotel is beautiful. However, there is nothing close by in terms of food or entertainment. It has a large group of unbelievable peacocks, but like roosters, they will wake you up at 5 AM with their loud calling. If you can deal with that, this hotel is beautiful and well priced.

What a lovely place to stay, very unique and personable. Whole place is amazing, large spacious bedroom, lots of quiet nooks around the hotel to sit and relax, pool is beautiful as is the grounds which has lots of peacocks to enjoy looking at. Would have loved to have stayed longer. An easy walk from the lovely Carlisle bay with the great white sandy beach with lots of restaurants and bars. Hotel also had a lovely bar and restaurant. Would like to return one day.

Disappointed by the limited dining options at this hotel. The on-site restaurant had restricted hours, making it hard to find a meal outside the few times they were open. Adding to the frustration, there were no nearby restaurants or cafes, so it felt like being stranded without convenient food options. Definitely not ideal for travelers who expect flexibility.

Sweetfield Manor is so charming! Spotless property, friendly team members, yummy restaurant, spa cabanas are beautiful. The pool is unique and a hidden little gem. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beds are very comfy. The grounds are so beautiful. What a perfect place for an intimate wedding. Love that checkout is at 12 so we could enjoy the outdoor space longer. As we were reading on the patio, a couple dozen peacocks came wandering towards us and hung out casually. Beautiful! Even a trio of monkeys stopped by. We highly recommend Sweetfield manor!

What is amazing the location is beautiful. I definitely recommend the butterfly room. The restaurant is good a little pricey but the best breakfast I had was at the resort. It’s in a not so beautiful neighborhood but it’s a beautiful gem hidden

It was truly a unique experience. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We ate lunch outside the hotel but breakfats and dinner was really delicious. My husband and I were impressed.

We actually visited the hotel as secret shoppers for our own wedding as we are considering the property for our entire group of 17 to stay and wedding festivities. They were very accommodating to my fiancé and I. We had an amazing time. A minor setback initially that they fixed in no time with no questions asked and we are so thankful ❤️ the staff is amazing. Breakfast was below average so consider increasing the quantity and quality or reducing the price. Nevertheless our stay was worthwhile and just what we needed. The Spa is everything!!! Our massages were OUTSTANDING! Best overall hotel service I have had since visiting Barbados over the last 2 years. Thank you Sweetfield Manor❤️

We stayed here during the slow season, so the property was very quiet and peaceful, and the resident peacocks were an absolute gem that added a unique charm to the place. We ran into a few maintenance issues during our stay—including low shower pressure, a weak toilet flush, an unheated hot tub, and no lights in the pool—but when we notified the staff, they immediately offered to move us to a different room. We admittedly declined because we were already unpacked and settled in, but the staff was incredibly friendly and did everything they could to accommodate us. I also took advantage of the yoga classes offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which were super nice. In terms of location, it is a bit of a hike from the beach—about a 20-to-25-minute walk—and the staff responsibly advised us not to walk around the area at night, though using an Uber is perfectly fine. Ultimately, it was an okay stay; we initially wavered on leaving three stars, but we decided on four because the staff was just so genuinely friendly, helpful, and proactive with their solutions.

Was quiet and relaxing. The peacocks and pool area were my best views. Country is also safe to walk and taxi from savvy on the beach is cheap than booking a ride or tours.

Dinner restaurant was suspended until the Fall. I had to order out for food to be brought in. Breakfast was served the next morning, however. The property was truly 5-star otherwise.
