We spent 4 nights at the Mermaid lookout. It had everything we needed, just like a hotel and more. The balcony view was wonderful. We spent every morning and evening out there. The kids loved their own space in the loft. It is on the 3rd floor with no elevator. The stairs are outside but easy to navigate and in the shade. The pictures are very accurate. There is a set of stairs to the beach right across the road or if you need to use the light to cross the street, its within the same block. The pools are nice and it has late afternoon shade. Walmart is right across the street from the parking lot, which is in and out with a code. The 61st street fishing pier is an easy walk. Lots of restaurants within walking distance also.

Accommodations were perfect. The bed and bedding were very cozy; a huge plus. Very convenient location to getting to the beach. The pools at the property were also great. Will definitely return for another stay!

It was so much fun staying in this beautiful and clean beach condo. Julie has thought of everything to make the vacation relaxing… Beach towels, chairs, games, lots of phone charging outlets, Lots of Keurig coffee pods, the beach view from the balcony was wonderful. I wish my kids were with me on this trip as they would have loved the spiral staircase with beds in the loft upstairs. Just in case you miss the parking fee of 40 for 3 days or 50 if you stay longer can be purchased in building #2. Also make sure you find the condo before you walk all your luggage up the wrong green set of stairs like we did as there is no elevator. I highly recommend this condo with the very attentive owner Julie who is very quick to return messages. The 2 pools are clean and beautiful. I have more kind things to say especially that I am so thankful I found this rental because my vacation was better because of it. PS there are a lot of different codes to memorize so write them all down to keep them all straight: the car entry gate, home door, beach gate, exercise room, etc.

We enjoyed our time the Mermaid Lookout. The condo was clean and well laid out for us and 2 teens. The front deck was perfect to sit and enjoy the views of the ocean. We did end up shortening our stay as we discovered upon awakening the second day that the condo complex was under going roof replacement. They had shut down one pool and the hot tub and also had stopped heating the other pool so there were no pools for use. The host was unaware of of this situation and when we reached out to see if we could check out early she went above and beyond to help us. This even involved a phone call to VRBO where she conferenced me so everything would be sorted out correctly. I appreciate not only the host agreeing to the early check out but also going beyond expectation to help us! We would definitely book again if returning to Galveston!

This is our 4th time staying at The Dawn. We usually have a great time. Different rentals each stay. This host was the beat so far. Very easy to communicate and get help/answers. The only issue with this stay was that there was a large gathering at the larger pool, which is where most people enjoy swimming, but the crown was loud and took made the relaxing environment we hoped for to be more stressful. Otherwise, the stay was great. Jody in the office was a delight.

We had an amazing time at Mermaid Lookout! Absolutely zero complaints. The condo itself is beautiful with a great view and useful amenities. The location could not be any better in my opinion. The beach is a short 5-7 minute walk and you pass right by the pool coming and going! Close to restaurants, shopping and Walmart is right across the street. We definitely plan on returning in the future!

The property manager, Julie, did a great job of communicating with me. The place is clean a d has a beautiful view of the Ocean. Parking isn't cheap, but it's all fenced in, which is nice when you ride a motorcycle. I would definitely stay here again.

The property is close to everything, restaurants, Pleasure Pier, souvenir shops, great view, very private. But there is no elevator, so walking up 3 sets of stairs is a must. First impression of the property was great, very pretty. Unfortunately, the AC wasn’t working so we kept windows open. it was very dirty, including the floor, couches, beds. The housekeeper had to come and fix our beds because it was very unacceptable. We waited for over an hour for her to arrive, and missed out on some activities we had planned. Also, there is no wifi, tvs did not work, beds made so much noise! Communication with the owner was okay. We do consider coming back for our next trip, if the condition of the inside of the property where it needs to be.

It was very nice. Did not like 1 bathroom only but knew that going in. Cleaners did not dust. Kids wrote names in dust on entertainment center. Beautiful home. Front office very little help. Enjoyed our stay.

The room was beautiful with the decor and the view was just perfect but some cleaning, maintenance and a little improvement would be nice. The restroom had a horrible odor of urine in there that lingered through our stay. The toilet kept running and we had to constantly keep fixing the pump. The most unpleasant thing was the mattresses. We have not been in an old spring mattress since I can’t recall. We slept very uncomfortable the 2 nights because the mattresses. We have stayed in lots of places and I have to admit those mattresses were the worse. My husband and I both woke up with severe back aches. Like I mentioned room was beautiful but when things like the issues I had defeats all other things. I hate to say but I won’t be booking this room again unless these issues are fixed.

The Condo was exactly as advertised and allowed my family to have a great weekend away. Walking distance to the beach and Wal-Mart across the street. Everything in the condo worked great, was clean and was comfortable. We would stay here again if we come back to Galveston.

The house was clean and cute! We had everything we needed. Julie, our host, was easy to get a hold of and so helpful. It was right across from the beach. Beautiful view! And they had sand toys, boogie boards, and other beach things. That was really nice for our kids to play with. They also loved the fun spiral staircase to their own room upstairs. We would definitely stay here again!!

The place was nice and very clean. Really the only complaint is the bed in the main bedroom. It is loud and cracks whenever you move and not comfortable. Other than that, you are right across from the beach, nice view and super easy check-in process and communication.

It was just what we needed. The property owner was very responsive and very quick to respond any time i had a question. The views were awesome from the balcany and master and even the loft of the ocean. Walmart is right across from where you enter to park so if you need anything its right there.

The 2 flights of stairs were horrible trying to carry luggage and bags. Didn't recall it was on the third floor. The bed in the master was so loud and squeaky I thought we were going to fall through the bottom. The loft upstairs ceiling fan did not work. We ran out of toilet paper the second day as there was only one replacement roll in under the sink. Most upsetting was the parking lot was always full, close to the buildings and most the time I we had to park the furthest to the fence very inconvenient. Also there seems to be a foundation problem from the bathroom door to the toilet. It feels like the floor is sinking.

We loved staying here!! The location was great and it wasn’t too crowded where we were. Walked right across the street to the beach and we loved the balcony beach view. Our condo had everything we needed and it was a cozy nice home away from home.

It was very nice. Did not like 1 bathroom only but knew that going in. Cleaners did not dust. Kids wrote names in dust on entertainment center. Beautiful home. Front office very little help. Enjoyed our stay.

Loved everything about the condo. They have it fully stocked with everything and more. Host was fast to respond to inquiries and even gave us late checkout. It was so appreciated. I can’t wait to come back!

It was so much fun staying in this beautiful and clean beach condo. Julie has thought of everything to make the vacation relaxing… Beach towels, chairs, games, lots of phone charging outlets, Lots of Keurig coffee pods, the beach view from the balcony was wonderful. I wish my kids were with me on this trip as they would have loved the spiral staircase with beds in the loft upstairs. Just in case you miss the parking fee of 40 for 3 days or 50 if you stay longer can be purchased in building #2. Also make sure you find the condo before you walk all your luggage up the wrong green set of stairs like we did as there is no elevator. I highly recommend this condo with the very attentive owner Julie who is very quick to return messages. The 2 pools are clean and beautiful. I have more kind things to say especially that I am so thankful I found this rental because my vacation was better because of it. PS there are a lot of different codes to memorize so write them all down to keep them all straight: the car entry gate, home door, beach gate, exercise room, etc.

It was just what we needed. The property owner was very responsive and very quick to respond any time i had a question. The views were awesome from the balcany and master and even the loft of the ocean. Walmart is right across from where you enter to park so if you need anything its right there.

We enjoyed our time the Mermaid Lookout. The condo was clean and well laid out for us and 2 teens. The front deck was perfect to sit and enjoy the views of the ocean. We did end up shortening our stay as we discovered upon awakening the second day that the condo complex was under going roof replacement. They had shut down one pool and the hot tub and also had stopped heating the other pool so there were no pools for use. The host was unaware of of this situation and when we reached out to see if we could check out early she went above and beyond to help us. This even involved a phone call to VRBO where she conferenced me so everything would be sorted out correctly. I appreciate not only the host agreeing to the early check out but also going beyond expectation to help us! We would definitely book again if returning to Galveston!

This is our 4th time staying at The Dawn. We usually have a great time. Different rentals each stay. This host was the beat so far. Very easy to communicate and get help/answers. The only issue with this stay was that there was a large gathering at the larger pool, which is where most people enjoy swimming, but the crown was loud and took made the relaxing environment we hoped for to be more stressful. Otherwise, the stay was great. Jody in the office was a delight.

The property manager, Julie, did a great job of communicating with me. The place is clean a d has a beautiful view of the Ocean. Parking isn't cheap, but it's all fenced in, which is nice when you ride a motorcycle. I would definitely stay here again.

We spent 4 nights at the Mermaid lookout. It had everything we needed, just like a hotel and more. The balcony view was wonderful. We spent every morning and evening out there. The kids loved their own space in the loft. It is on the 3rd floor with no elevator. The stairs are outside but easy to navigate and in the shade. The pictures are very accurate. There is a set of stairs to the beach right across the road or if you need to use the light to cross the street, its within the same block. The pools are nice and it has late afternoon shade. Walmart is right across the street from the parking lot, which is in and out with a code. The 61st street fishing pier is an easy walk. Lots of restaurants within walking distance also.

The Condo was exactly as advertised and allowed my family to have a great weekend away. Walking distance to the beach and Wal-Mart across the street. Everything in the condo worked great, was clean and was comfortable. We would stay here again if we come back to Galveston.

We went for a quick weekend trip to watch a dance competition. The condo was exactly as described. It was comfortable, easily accessible, and in a great location. The property was very nice and an excellent place for family and friends alike. Definitely a place I would recommend!

We loved staying here!! The location was great and it wasn’t too crowded where we were. Walked right across the street to the beach and we loved the balcony beach view. Our condo had everything we needed and it was a cozy nice home away from home.

We had an amazing time at Mermaid Lookout! Absolutely zero complaints. The condo itself is beautiful with a great view and useful amenities. The location could not be any better in my opinion. The beach is a short 5-7 minute walk and you pass right by the pool coming and going! Close to restaurants, shopping and Walmart is right across the street. We definitely plan on returning in the future!

The property was perfect, for a little get away. A friend and I went for two days. The beach was right across the street, it was close to restaurants and the pool was beautiful. Will definitely go back again.

Beautiful place. It had all the extras we needed. Towels, toiletries, an umbrella, kitchen supplies, wash pods, games, books, and more. The location to the beach and Walmart was perfect. It is on the third floor and has a great view on the balcony (just be ready for the stairs). Kids loved the upstairs balcony bedroom. We had plenty of space for 5 people.

Our family came to Galveston as a Christmas present to the kids instead of doing a bunch of gifts. The Mermaid Lookout more than exceeded our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice. Great view, clean, spacious and a quick walk to the pool, hot tub, and beach. The condo was well stocked and had everything we could need for our stay. We would definitely stay at the Mermaid Lookout again! 10/10 would recommend.
