St Maurice Beach Inn

The property is just steps away from the boardwalk and beach. Lots of options for dining within walking distance. Staff was very friendly, offered sun tan lotion, chairs and towels for the beach, bikes etc. The rooms are small but have kitchens with full fridges, dishes etc. It has a nice sitting area outside the rooms with tables and umbrellas.

Just a hop, skip and jump away from the Ocean and Boardwalk. Margaritaville Band Shell is next door and has great nightly musical guests. Staff was super friendly and very accommodating! Bikes on-site for guests to sign out (FREE). Beach chair, umbrella and towels provided (FREE). Loved the courtyard tables and chairs. Rooms were very clean. We felt very safe. Only complaint (and it seems silly) was NO storage in the bathroom. No place for toiletries. Some hanging shelves or toilet vanity would be super helpful.

Inexpensive stay in a great location. Nothing special about the room itself. It would be helpful if there was communication about how to park somewhere in the listing on Expedia. If there is, I missed it. I paid for 24 minutes of parking in order to check in, which worked out fine. You can park for 24 hours at a rate of just over $20 at time of check-in. You end up paying the city of Hollywood by scanning a QR code from your phone. You must park in the street.

Property is very old but kept clean and updated as best as possible. Shower and bathroom is super tiny. If all you want is basic hotel super close to the beach it’s all you need. Hotel is likely from be 1950s. The private parking lot behind is a racket for towing so only park on the street in the parallel spots of the parking garage a few blocks down and use the QR code they give you at check-in to pay $21.90 per day.

Property was descent. Steps from the beach. Parking is terrible. There is only pay parking around hotel and it is not cheap.

The hotel is quaint, literally next door to Margaritaville and very close to the boardwalk. We found the room to be very clean, and sufficient. The air conditioning was on HIGH but was not able keep cool. The fridge was cold and kept drinks cold. The front staff was very accommodating and had an early check in for us off the cruise ship. We opted not for the late check out and was able to keep our luggage in the office after check out. The amenities for the hotel were great, chairs, unbrella and the use of bikes were a bonus.

Parking was only issue

The room was clean, staff was friendly. The hotel is very old and there is not parking. Private lots charge crazy rates and the city street parking is not great. If you get a ticket you cannot get another 24 parking pass online, its blocks you out. Parking garage 5 blocks away is your best bet.

The only issue is difficulty parking, this is no fault of the property as I understand the parking culture in that area, everything else was perfect. Thanks

2nd stay. Excellent location. Rooms are clean and have basics that you will need: fridge, microwave, beach chairs, towels, comfortable bed. Just steps to the beach. St. Maurice has no pool, so maybe not best choice for families. It is small and has no restaurant, but a short walk away there many ecclectic food choices on boardwalk (if you like Peruvian, Italian, Argentian, etc.) Food is mostly excellent, but most restaurants get very loud during diner. If you want quiet, you can get your food to go, and eat it under a palapa at the pretty courtyards of the St. Maurice. I don't think parking nearby is great, but we didn't have a car. We took an Uber to/from airport There is a shuttle that will take you around town as well as a water taxi that's only short walk away that has many stops in Fort Lauderdale. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, this place isn't for you. But my husband and I found that the St Maurice had what we needed, in a great spot, and at an awesome price. We will be back.

The room smelled like mold and the sheet was dirty and obviously wasn’t washed.

While this property isn’t large or new it is well maintained and very clean. It’s literally right across the street from the Hollywood Beach with a boardwalk and tons of shopping and food options. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. This was a very good value for the price. If you’re on a budget I would recommend this property.

Tiny bathroom. Smelled like sewer the room

Hotel room dirty, old, bugs in bed linens, on walls, windowsill. No hot water. Leaking toilet. 6 different appliances plugged into 1 outlet, cracked tiles, dirty sticky furniture. Very unhappy. Did not even sleep there. Had gone to a concert at Hard Rock. Got back to room discovered bugs in bed, crawling on walls, windows which were black dirty and on curtains. Left at 1:30 AM.

Nice simple place with cobwebs. Right on the boardwalk. Parking is a pain, you have to by a pass from the city then you can park in a garage or on the street. We were unloading our car and Johnny Law came by moaning about us needing to move. Other than that for the price you can not beat it. Check in lady was nice. In room coffee was a plus. Room could use a through dusting. There were cobwebs and dust bunnies. Someone with allergies might have a problem. We will stay there again.

Close to the beach. Everything was cleaned. The shower backs up but I assume from all the beach debris.

The location was the best part about this hotel. It's a hop, skip and jump to the broadwalk and beach. They only clean your rooms if you ask for it, then they charge extra. You have to take your towels to the office and request new ones. Expect to pay 22 dollars extra a day for parking, because there is no hotel parking. There was burn holes in our bedding. Ants in the room, the toilet barely flushes. I won't be staying here again.

Had an issue with the noise level from the adjoining room the walls must be paper thin, and the neighbor must’ve left the television on full blast and gone out for the evening completely kept me awake all night. No answer at the neighboring room door and no one in the office at night. Same issue with anytime there’s a group of people in the courtyard between the rooms you can hear every word this space spoken

Just know that the place is pretty basic but on par with its cost. And the mattress was pretty awful in our room (31), not sure about the other room beds. We didn’t have a car, so didn’t have to contend with that, so clarify parking with the admin staff, parking is a scarce resource anywhere along the beach strip (North/mid/south). Was a pleasant stay, good value for the price we paid. Ps while it’s very close to the beach no room has a view.

The room was cramped, especially the bathroom, the toilet was up against the wall with no legroom. The room was generally clean, but very outdated. The entire complex needs major attention!

I stayed here for 5 days over the holiday weekend. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The location was outstanding! You walk across the street and you're right there on the boardwalk. I specifically choose this place so I could be walking distance to the beach and restaurants and it did not disappoint! My room was perfect for just me and came with a mini kitchen - full sized fridge with 3 trays full of ice cubs in the freezer, a microwave, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils. They provided you with beach towels and chairs to take to the beach! As a female solo traveler with my first time in Hollywood, I felt really safe at this hotel and the surrounding area. The only issue I had was their wifi. Their wifi consistently disconnected me from the network. I don't know if it was because my room was too far away from their modem or what, but it would connect me and then say "connected without internet". So I ended up using all of my internet data on my phone because of that. I did say something about it the last day I was there. So if you are someone who heavily relies on wifi, I would get a back up add on data plan just in case. I have never had any issues with my phone and public wifi until this place. I rated this hotel 4 stars because of that. Was a bit noisy between hotel guests, their friends and drivers over the weekend but that's to be expected with it being a holiday weekend. Otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall not a terrible place to stay. Definitely needs a lot of upgrades. The air conditioner unfortunately was very loud and would turn on every 10 minutes and it sounded like a motorcycle rubbing. You're not able to control the temperature either. So it was very hot in the room.

Location was excellent. Property was clean but rooms could use some updating. Air conditioning unit was VERY insufficient. If it was any hotter during our stay, we would have never made it through. Front desk and staff were wonderful. Room was small but had everything we needed.

The location is 10/10 if you like being right near a beach and boardwalk. The rooms are dated. The mattress on the bed is like a marshmallow. The rooms have a small kitchen area squeezed next to the bed. There is a courtyard outside that is for guests to use. The AC could use an upgrade, but it worked. Good value for what you get.

Okay so the location of this property is great. Just a few steps from the Hollywood Broadwalk area. Right across the alley from Margaritaville resort. It’s in a quiet area but you can hear the concerts if the Broadwalk is hosting one. The only downside of this stay was the room itself. Very small, but extremely clean. Everything looked like it had a relatively fresh coat of paint. In fact the doors were so caked with layers of paint, the bathroom door wouldn’t shut. Speaking of the bathroom. There was approximately 8 inches from the front of the toilet to the bathroom wall directly in front of you. You could touch three walls from anywhere in the bathroom, and almost all four. The crown jewel of the room however was the bed and mattress. There is no headboard so that was unique. But the mattress was bad. You could feel every broken spring in it. The metal ring around the outer edge was completely broken down. It is no exaggeration that it was the absolute worst bed I’ve ever tried to sleep in. It may have been the original mattress from the 50’s for all I know. It’s really unfortunate because even a mediocre mattress would have made this a rockstar room. Parking was annoying but that is blamed on the city of Hollywood. There is just such a limited number of spots and those are still $20-25 per night. I parked at Margaritaville because it was convenient @ $43/day Unfortunately I don’t think I could recommend this to anyone and will definitely not stay here again.

Great location in heart of Hollywood Beach. Basic accommodations for a quick trip or long weekend. Stayed in a studio room, would want bigger if staying longer than 3 days. Not much circulation in room with no vent or window in bathroom and windows do not open. AC temperature could not be changed so it did get quite stuffy but we were only in the room to sleep and were out of the room mist of the time. Adequate for our long weekend.

AMAZING! STAFF, reception ladies are amazing especially LAURA! The kindest and sweetest hosts they made my stay the best! I loved the room it was super clean with everything needed, I emoted my stay thank you Laura for everything you’re the best!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️

The guy front desk was not nice.. they don’t do clean room..

Management was great. Keni was amazing and great attitude and very respectful to all guests. This is our 2nd time there this year so far.

We stayed at this hotel on a business trip and the location is great however the cleanliness and maintenance of the property could be better, we had two rooms and none of the door locks worked properly, we told the lady at the reception and she didn’t care. She also has a very bad attitude and was mean so the bottom line is the property is very well located but the receptionist turned a good experience into something very uncomfortable

Old building, no parking, expensive city parking 8 minute walk. The front desk person was not helpful. The room stunk like someone spilled a bottle of cheap pinesol, it stunk all night. The bathroom is tiny and there's no room for anything. I will never stay again. Ever.

My room was clean as always. I love the location to this little inn, and though it has no frills, it has a lot of charm. Elizabeth at the front desk was great when I checked in. As always, the staff, location and charm keeps me coming back.

Cute little place our daughter and son-in-law stay at. They were kind enough to hold onto our stuff and let us check in early once our room was ready. Staff was very friendly.

The staff are amazing! We had a late,after hours check in and with direction all went smoothly. The property is well kept, the room is a bit dated but quite comfortable! We would certainly stay here again.

I had a fantastic three night stay at St Maurice’s. A lowkey gem amongst the massive resorts and condominiums, and it was exactly what I wanted. It is the perfect location on the Broadwalk, in walking distance to many shops and restaurants, and most importantly - the beach! The Inn provides beach chairs, coffee, and a comfortable bed. The staff is all extremely friendly and they even stored my bag after check out as my flight wasn’t until late. I would absolutely stay here again!

We arrived early and the friendly staff was able to give us our room. Room was clean and has a kitchenette and coffee maker. The hotel is situated directly at the entrance to the Broadwalk (yes, Broadwalk not Boardwalk) and Hollywood Beach. All the restaurants and bars are within a short walk down the Broadwalk. The St Maurice was everything we expected and more!

Love this area close to the Hollywood Beach boardwalk. The parking is expensive, as the hotel does not have it's own parking. Had to buy a permit for the one day from the city for $21 for street parking. The room was very small but adequate for two people. Cleanliness and service was top notch.
