Residence Inn Jackson

The parents of a kids baseball team (ourselves included) booked rooms at this hotel. We were told on Friday that the pool was not working because of a chemical issue but it would be ready Saturday. The pool was not available all weekend. They did have a basketball court.

The studio rooms are amazing the saff was very helpful and respectful the hot tub was nice and the pool are both inside im love this hotel and it is reasonable

Everything stood out - cleanliness of the pool/spa area, the fitness center, the room, the breakfast area, etc. I wish I could remember the name of the staff because they were incredibly friendly. I could not recommend this location more (especially if you have a pet).

If you gonna have a pool u need to maintain it 100% for your paying customers. Wonder how long it's been closed? I'm sure hotel will respond about cleaning etc but we've had a pool and it was never closed because we always kept the correct chemicals in it. Having said this hotel is excellent

The firepit area and basketball court was very nice and something most hotels do not have. It allowed for groups to get together and enjoy visiting. The pool was nice and the staff was excellent!

We had a good, comfortable stay! My kids were just sad that the indoor pool was closed.

There is no ice in the hotel. You can make ice in your freezer but it makes it super slow. The beds were uncomfortable.

Fabulous, friendly, and efficient front desk staff. The room was great no problems. One problem with the facility in general is that we have a big party of people down below in the patio campfire area that we allowed until past 11 PM. If we stay there again, and we will request to be on the other side of the building.

The service was very good, everyone was kind and helpful. The first room we were put in smelled a little like urine, however the front desk person was able to put us in another room down the hall and that room was great and did not smell. The second room was clean and we were able to enjoy our stay. The pool was nice, and the hotub was great, although I wish it opened up a little earlier since my kids were ready to jump in at 7am but it did not open until 8am. I did appreciate the full size fridge and also being able to cook dinner instead of eating out again.

It was a great place to stay. We stayed in the two room swede and it was amazing. The only drawback was that they were redoing the pool. And we didn't know that to after we arrived. The staff was amazing the beds were comfortable. Chef joshua served wonderful breakfasts.

We didn’t stay out of fear of bed bugs and knowing that the room had not been cleaned for several stays. We requested the room to be cleaned and the staff stated that they were understaffed and unable to. They did provide linens for us to change our own beds, however we were missing items in what was supplied. The toilet had feces in it, hair on floor and shower, stove was filthy, trash had not been removed, and couch had several fluid stains on it. The hotel manager did agree to refund our money. We left immediately and checked into a neighboring hotel.

One of the best stays. Staff was absolutely exceptional! They let me check in early, as soon as they had the room clean. The lady brought out fresh cookies while i was waiting. They even sent the maintenence tech to check all the appliances and change ac filter. We got to breakfast a little late, and the gentlemen cleaning up told my girlfriend to come in and get whatever we wanted. Eveyone was very professional and courteous. It was very clean and well maimtained. Definitely staying there again!

The room was dirty and broken down.

Staff was very nice. Very accommodating and apologetic with moving us to a different room after we discovered exposed nails in the floor where carpet had been ripped in a high-traffic area of the room. Elevators, hallways, and guest rooms need a deep clean and/or some minor repairs (ripped up carpet, dirty bathroom walls, minor stuff). Halls smelled like marijuana, which I know the staff really can't control, but just an fyi.

Properly clean cigarette ashes when someone smokes in a room as well as spray for bugs one was in my bed when checking in!

Upon arrival we had to wait for our room because it had to be verified first that it was cleaned. We arrived around 4 pm so that was a little unusual. While we were waiting the front desk asked me if I booked the room through a third party to which I said yes. They then wanted to know how much I paid for the room which I thought was weird. After I answered she said ok we have your room ready but just so you know the cable is out in this whole area due to a storm. Which was fine but we had a friend staying in hotel close by and they said everything was working normal. The room itself looked like it had been cleaned well but you can tell the carpets are old as they were stained. Later that night upon returning from dinner we walked towards the elevator and hit a strong smell of marijuana. It was pretty prevalent not only there but on our floor as well. Finally we got to bed around 10 pm but we were woken up numerous times by someone playing loud music and numerous doors slamming. For the price we paid I expected better, we had a horrible nights sleep. Next time I am in this area I won't be staying here again.

Parking was ok. Room smelled like someone smoked in it. I was looking everywhere for one of my daughter's toys she got for her birthday and found it in the couch right after I found a half smoked cigar. Keep in mind, this was a couch that folded out to a bed.

Very clean room and nice hotel. Staff was very sweet and kind. Their breakfast had a very wide variety and was super organized and clean. It offered options I have never seen at other hotels. Although I wish there was an option for waffles. LOL! My only concern was whatever was under the carpet in the hallways on the second floor. The subflooring was very uneven and felt as though there were holes or missing floorboards under the stained carpet. Maybe like the floor had suffered water damage from moist environment?? The carpet in the hallways and room seemed kind of nasty, but I am weird and won't walk barefoot at many hotels for this reason. I would definitely stay here again despite the carpet.

The cleanliness at this hotel wasn’t ideal. It took until our third room to get one that had housekeeping done, but there was still a towel leftover from the previous people. The tiles moved I set my feet and I’m not sure that the second bathroom floor had been washed. Otherwise the room was fine, the breakfast was fine but not great.

Good decent hotel, but not exceptional. Overall it was a fine stay, but the hotel is showing its age and the room showed some deferred maintenance issues. Just a bit weathered and not real clean. bed was comfortable and the the suite is roomy. Breakfast was average but you really don't expect a whole lot when it's included with your stay. 3 out of 5 starts for us. Lobby and common areas are very nice.

Our room was not ready and she said she didn’t know when it would be ready even though it was well after check in time. I also informed her that we needed to get dressed for a graduation that we were in town for. She indicated oh well, not her problem. So we finally got to our room which was not cleaned, no toilet paper, or Kleenex. I informed them that my light by my bed didn’t work as well as several in kitchen. I was so disappointed considering this hotel was recommended to me. I will never stay there or in a Residence Inn again. Thank you for your time

Rooms great. Kitchen very nice, and Ice maker in Frig a great bonus. Breakfast great. Will be returning end of September, and will be using in the future when in the area.

The air conditioner is so loud I couldn’t sleep!

Air conditioner/central air unit extremely loud and given wrong info by front desk clerk. I won’t stay here again.

Friendly and easy checkin. Great room. Great water pressure in the shower. Just about a 6 minute drive to anything. Great night stay.

There is no ice in the hotel. You can make ice in your freezer but it makes it super slow. The beds were uncomfortable.

Amenities were adequate and good in the room. Challenge was temperature control for this time of year. Thermostat did not allow for establishing the right temperature for a good night's rest. Room noise and light. and small pillows were also contributing factors. Staff was courteous and friendly.

The room was nice and the breakfast buffet great with healthy options. The one negative was that our bed was soft and lumpy. Very hard to get a good sleep. Mattresses need replaced.

Liked the King Suite design layout, living and bath areas. Property needs updating..odd elevator noises, shows wear and tear other than lobby spaces. Room faced interstate for all night road and truck noise. Room clean should be improved.

We enjoyed our stay! The man at the front desk that checked us in was super polite, down to the maintenance man that went out of his way to bring my 6 year old some ketchup! Wish I would have gotten their names!!!

Residence Inn is still claiming COVID as a reason for not providing room refresh on stays of 3 days or less. Even when requested. Unacceptable. The Jackson Residence Inn was more or less as expected. Friendly staff. Generally clean and fairly well maintained. With the exception of the floors, our room was clean on arrival. The floors in kitchen and bathroom areas had been mopped, but were sticky. We requested a re-mop, and were told a they would attend to it. Didn't happen. 2nd request made, still not corrected. Empty apology when we checked out, claiming "Policy" due to COVID in May of 2025. Not OK.

Essence, the front desk manager was extremely helpful and accommodating! Joshua and DJ the chefs who prepare breakfast are beyond phenomenal! They make you feel like you are a guest in their home! I am adding this location to my list to return when in Jackson, TN.

No one cleaned the room for the 3 days we were there. No clean towels or linens very u satisfied

It wasn't anything special. The room was nice enough, but there was stuff on the door to the room and the bathroom door. When we tried to chek in, we waited a good 10 minutes for the guy to show up. There was a bell we rang several times. He finally waltzed in from outside and was rude. The ladies that were there the next morning were much nicer. They also do not have a covered loading area. It was pouring rain when we were packing up to leave.

Beautiful hotel with large, comfortable rooms. Front desk staff is absolutely the most helpful and friendliest I’ve ever met before. Ailayah at the front desk is hands down the best front desk agent in the country! Only issue I had was I booked it through Hotels.com app for the points / credit. Apparently Expedia actually booked it and definitely charged my credit card. Upon arrival at 9:30pm, after driving over 8 hours, we expected to check in, go to our room, shower and get some much needed rest for the 8 hour drive home the next day. It took us over an hour and a half to get checked in thanks to Expedia’s “virtual card” they sent to the hotel being declined, and it was a nightmare. This is where Ailayah and the night manager stepped in, took over the conversation with Expedia customer service and worked it out with them. Meanwhile, they went ahead and checked my wife and I in and allowed us to go to our room. EXCELLENT customer service!!!

The staff was excellent and so accommodating. We had a big family gathering and spent a lot of time in the lobby. The staff were so hospitable providing ice and even cookies to us while we laughed, talked and watched the NBA playoffs.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Miscommunication and Request for Refund I am writing to formally file a complaint and request a full refund regarding my recent experience involving a reservation transfer between the Marriott Residence Inn and the Fairfield Inn. My reservation was originally made at the Residence Inn through a third-party booking site. Prior to arrival, I called the Residence Inn to notify them of a late check-in. During that call, I was informed that my reservation had been transferred to the Fairfield Inn and was told, verbatim, that “we’ll cover it.” However, no one at that time disclosed how many nights the transfer was for. Upon checking in at the Fairfield Inn, the front desk staff also did not specify the number of nights included in the transferred reservation. Based on the information provided, we reasonably believed that our stay was covered through our original checkout date of Wednesday, October 15. To our surprise, we later received an email on Sunday, October 12, stating that it was our checkout date. When we spoke with the front desk, we were told that the reservation was only for one night. After contacting the Residence Inn again, we were informed that the transfer had only been for one night and that we could return there, information that was never communicated to us at any stage. This series of miscommunications caused unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and confusion.

Property is right off the highway and easy to find. The parking lot was well-lit. There is a basketball court (ball provided) on site. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast attendant DJ was great! She treats everyone like family. The breakfast buffet is well thought out with lots of extras (e.g. different flavoured cream cheeses and sauces). Would definitely visit again!

It's right next to the interstate so you can hear trucks at time, but the convenience is worth it. The staff was great - so accommodating.

The hot tub was very nice although the chlorine hurt our eyes. The breakfast was decent however they didn't start breakfast until like 8 am and it was supposed to start at 6 am. Apparently they were trying to get someone else to fill in for an employee before breakfast could start. For some reason there was the same lady at the front desk at night and in the morning. I don't know if she had to work a double shift or what? Unfortunately the mattress was kind of old and worn out and didn't have any support. Secondly the coffee machine in my room wasn't working. I don't know why but I couldn't press the button to turn it on.

Very great staff and the breakfast yummy 10/10

Bed too soft, one side of bed felt like a sinkhole when you lay down. The cooked breakfast was horrible. I will not recommend nor stay here again.
