Hampton Village Inn

A very charming little hotel. Location was convenient. We went for seafood festival and we were able to walk from the hotel down to where you take the shuttle bus to the beach, it was under a 10 minute walk. The hotel Itself was clean and overall a nice stay. The Hotel staff were super nice and accommodating. Our favorite part was the pool and hot tub and the sauna. Its nice that it’s open until 11 PM. We had a great time chilling at the pool at night and just being able to hang and relax.

The room was clean. However, the elevator stopped working. Which is not good for someone with physical limitations.

I want my money back. My granddaughter was injured at the pool from poor maintenance of the floor area.

It was a room. Got good rest person at the desk was nice parking was a little tight all in all OK in my book.

I like the amenities that it offered. I really like the hours that the pool, hot tub and sauna were open for. However the hot tub was cold when we tried to use it. The pool was warmer then the hot tub at times. They said that it would take a few hours to heat up. We ended up having to use it the morning we left since it was not running hot before thenWe were not the only guests to experience this. The night wearrived a guestwas complaining about the same thing. There was no remote to the tv or xfinity in our room. We asked staff for a remote but they forgot to give us one. We went down to ask again and they came up 30 minutes later with two different remotes. I told them I just needed the remote that turned the volume up and down and turned off the tv since we were using a chromecast to watch tv. He ended giving us the xfinity remote that did not control the power or volume. at one point our room key stopped working and we had to go down stairs and ask for another one. I also do not feel that the rooms were cleaned properly there were items from the previous guests in one of the drawers.We were also very surprised that there was no kettle/ coffee pot/kurieg in the room. In most places i have stayed at there was some kind of unit to make hot beverages and if there wasnt then there was coffee and tea provided 24hrs in the main lobby. Here there was only regular coffee provided in the morning. outside of the room you ccould get hot/ cold water but no cups were provide.

Very nice hotel that is very close to the beach as long as you have a car. Wonderful pool!

This hotel is honestly the best around! It’s convenient to everything around and the staff is awesome! John is great and super cool and helpful. Place was perfectly clean and smelled amazing the whole time. Pool and how tub are great size and always perfect temperatures! We will be staying here every time. I recommend this hotel to everyone!

The property itself is nothing fancy which was fine for the price. The only real issue was the pool area was really gross. Part of reason we picked this hotel was for the pool and hot tub. The pool water was murky, my son wouldn’t even go in it. We braved the hot tub for a few minutes but it was also kind of weird with paint chipping all around it. Looked like the pool room was under construction so hopefully it will improve.

So there ice machine was broke & so was the soda machine Pool was ice cold

Had a good stay however the temperature of our room was very toasty even with the heat off- also our hallway and room to start had a nasty smell, like cigarettes and stench

Bathroom upgraded but rugs, dirty lobby looked old

The whole facility is nice. I travel a lot for work and play. Though it’s no ritz Carlton it’s an excellent location with a wonderfully perfect staff. Everything is always clean and the bed is comfy

Good stay. A bit outdated. Curtains and floors were dirty. Cleaned up a small water spill with a white towel and it came up black. Carpets should be replaced to a more safe and clean flooring. Towels were not soft and showers should be updated.

The room had a really bad smell and didn’t feel clean.

When we walked in to the lobby, we were shocked. The lobby was dirty. The carpets were disgusting and smelled mildewy. We were nervous about the room. The carpets in the hallway heading to the rooms were worse. When we got to the room and open the door, we were quite surprised. It didn’t look as bad as the rest of the hotel. We later discovered that the bed sunk to the middle, the shower only ran freezing cold water and the ceiling in the bathroom looked as if it could fall down, peeling and covered in mold. The upgraded hot tub that we got Was used for showering because that was the only hot water option for us. Complimentary coffee next to the vending machines sucked. How can you screw up coffee? 0/10 recommend. Never again!

The hotel is a bit outdated and could use a little TLC. We stayed here with our two eleven-year-olds. Overall our stay was fine, but we did find toenail clippings on our carpet and trash under our beds. The pool was very murky and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. The front desk person was friendly and everything worked in our room. It was quiet at night and the parking was sufficient. It worked out fine for us, but we probably wouldn't stay here again.

Don't expect the Ritz Carlton , I've stayed at tons of places in the area. This far exceeded out expectations. Very comfortable bed and clean room. Would definitely stay again

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is a little worn down but clean. The walls are thin and on the first night we heard people on both sides of us and upstairs, but I guess they all checked out because the next night it was very peaceful. Good location for us. We didn't get a chance to use the pool or hot tub, but it was available.

Excellent one-night stay for a two-star motel. Everything was spotless and in great condition. Bed very comfortable. Right on a main and noisy road, but ac fan took care of that. Unit for fridge and dresser needs replacing. Bathroom very small, no place to put toiletries. No hooks anywhere, but this has become more common in places we've stayed recently. We would definitely stay here again. We have noticed a huge increase in nightly costs at all hotels/motels/airbnbs. For what we got, the price per night at HVI seemed very high.

Nice hotel for the price but a little run down. Good location but noisy air conditioners

The parking was convenient with the parking garage. The room appeared to be bigger on the website.

Basically our stay was fine. Hotel was nice and clean the price was fair. The only issue is that the air conditioner, although it functioned well and kept the room comfortable, it was slightly older model and was a bit louder than one would like for sleeping.

Rooms were adequate. Bathroom had some upgrades. Wall mounted AC to cool room wasn't the most efficient.

The floor in the bathroom has a rise in room 312 that the door scrapes over. Paint peeling in bathroon ceiling. It was clean with a zip around mattress protector. The window air conditioner is loud shutting off and on all night. The bed was kind of hard and pillows weren't great. It served it's purpose and was reasonably priced. I wouldn't pay more for it. 10 min easy drive to Hampton beach. Lots of good places to eat on the same strip.

We had a great stay! Only thing I would say about this property is it is a bit outdated and some areas were not that clean. The Internet access was very spotty and our neighbors were so loud. It was OK for a weekend stay!

Love the king room I chose, just wish the bed was comfier!

It’s an older property and shows it. It’s clean but the walls are paper thin. It’s fine if you don’t need to spend time there.

No frills, good to crash for a night.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your establishment. From the moment we arrived, the experience was disappointing. We observed a staff member at the front desk picking their teeth with their finger, which was unprofessional and unhygienic. Furthermore, the hotel's facilities were far below expectations. The pool appeared dirty, and the hotel itself seemed outdated. The vending machines were empty, and the rugs in our room were unsanitary. Additionally, both the sink and bathtub in our room repeatedly clogged. I was also surprised to learn about the unmentioned $75 deposit upon arrival, which was not disclosed on your website. While I appreciate the convenient location with many nearby restaurants and stores, the overall condition and service of the hotel were unacceptable. I genuinely felt like I was staying at a low-budget motel. I will not be returning to this location and strongly recommend a complete remodel and the hiring of more professional staff.

Checked in and was told our room number, then when we got our key it stated a different number. Tried to go to the room on the key and it wouldnt open, plus there was people still in the room. Went to the number we were told and it worked. A few hours later, a couple was told our room was theirs but their key wouldn't work and we were in it. Told the front deak person what happened earlier and he apologized and left with the couple. Not quite sure why there was so much confusion with room assignments but we werent bothered again.

We will begin with my experience with John when I checked in on Tuesday. When i told him my name, his first words were "your card declined" in a very rude tone. (Well of course it declined, it had been lost and replaced). He continued to be extremely rude and insulting, even after I gave him full payment with the correct card. Then later, he claimed our room key had the right wifi password, but no one could get it to work. When we asked John about it, he insisted both my sisters let him program it in. He took their phones to do it. It was very creepy and like he wanted to do something to their phones. I did NOT let him touch mine after how rude and creepy he was when I checked in. Add that the pool was murky, not clear and reeked of chlorine. One of the mattress pads was dirty (inclunding food crumbs). Several of the toiletries in the bathroom expired in 2020. The elevator was terrifyingly rickety. The towels could have passed for sandpaper. We couldn't get John to come to the front desk when we needed more towels. And the parking was horrible. Top that all off with the fact the day shift guy was not concerned about our negative experience and John flat refused to tell me who I could complain to. Steer clear!!!

The gentleman working the front desk when checking in was awesome and very accommodating to my need for extra pillows due to a recent surgery, very happy and friendly...the room was extremely clean and the bathroom to. It was quiet especially for the beach. The only thing that was a turn off was the very quiet, grumpy individual who was at the desk in the early morning 430-5am with absolutely no personality or friendliness when going out across the street for breakfast and returning to the room. But that didn't diminish my positive experience with this small quaint hotel. I will definitely be booking another stay there when returning to Hampton Beach, New Hampshire

The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Gave us great recommendations for local places to eat which turned out to be fabulous meals. The pool and hot tub were fantastic after hours in the car. The room was good sized, clean and comes with a microwave and refrigerator..nothing else was needed. We will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! John was so friendly and helpful when we checked in. The property and rooms were very clean, and the beds were so comfortable. Loved that the pool, hot tub, and sauna are open until 11 pm.

We decided to stay an ectra night and we were accommodated promptly. Annabelle was awesome assisting us with moving to another room.Hotel was clean and staff helpful.

Love our stay at the village Inn. On our departure to catch our flight, we left the laptop in the room. The staff mailed it to us very quickly, and it arrived safe and sound. We really appreciated the customer service and felt to his above and beyond.

The gentleman who did the check in was awesome very friendly and helpful. The gentleman on the next day was bordering on rude very standoffish . Also there was no coffee or coffee making supplies available on the 2nd floor.

Upon checking in- the staff was sleeping. It was only 6:30 in the evening. Couldn’t get a key to work. I went down about 30 mins after he opened the door to my room. He thought I left- almost argued with me about the fact I was still needing a key. The pool/hot tub area was so hot, we couldn’t even go in there to enjoy either of them. Our room was over 70 degrees. Found hair in the shower, walls had a few holes in them from the door. The bed was comfortable but it was not the best experience.

Room clean and inviting.Beds comfortable and bathroom very clean. Quiet room with everything we needed for one nite stay. We would stay again!

It is a very convenient hotel with parking very close to the entrance and an elevator also very close to the entrance. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Reasonably price and just minutes from Hampton Beach

We enjoy the proximity to the beach and eateries.

There’s Mc Donald’s right across the street and a Chinese restaurant next to it. There’s restaurants down the road on each side. The beds were small but comfortable. The internet stinks around there but the hotel had internet, it was down for a little while as there was a guy working on it. I’m not sure if there’s transport access but we did see trolleys down at Walmart. Very busy area

Unassuming place in great location & only 3 miles from Hampton Beach. Much quieter & calmer. Across from Dunkin & McDonalds.

Beds were comfortable. "Breakfast" was a coffee/tea station that had what you needed, but could've tasted better and hot water cooler didn't work. We didn't use it, but the indoor pool/jacuzzi was an option. It did seem a bit outdated and dinky, but spacious. Perhaps if we were there longer, we might've tried it out. Front desk staff was friendly and nice. It was near shopping, cafes, etc. and not too far from the beach/park. About 20 min from Downtown area. Parking was free and right by the door. There was an elevator.

It was convenient to where we were visiting. It was convenient to restaurants. The service was courteous, the facilities were clean. checkin and out were efficient.

Small nice hotel. Convient 10 minutes drive from Hampton beach. Staff is nice. The only issue was no USB plugs in the room. So don’t forget your outlet.

Hannaford was next door, hoatys next door had excellent breakfast. Hotel was nice, staff was really awesome.

Hot tub in room very clean, very warm, filled fast ran well, hard to figure out to turn on handle look normal but had to find right spot to turn on water.?? Same with the shower. No breakfast despite the fact, they advertised a breakfast. No coffee in the room just a communal coffee stand. They sent me to a breakfast couple miles away. I used the breakfast diner next-door. Food was excellent.

The room was surprisingly nice. But there was no breakfast and there was coffee only from 7-9 am.

Very comfortable stay. McDonalds across the street was handy. Would have loved to have breakfast as an option at the hotel.

Hotel is situated close to everything, restaurants, gas stations and Lafayette crossing (shopping plaza) is just 4 minutes drive. Beach is 11 minutes drive. Room is comfortable, updated and clean. They have excellent staff. Although they don't offer free breakfast since there's a lot of awesome restaurants nearby, they offer free coffee in the morning.

I would recommend and return. Great price and location and pool & hot tub. The room was clean, bathroom was small so could use more shelves/counter tops. I wish they offered breakfast, but their coffee station was very good and McDonald's across the street has good breakfast and Dunkin & others are very close too.
