Hamilton Inn Sturbridge

This is a former motel, one space to each room. The room was clean and sized appropriately. Shopping centers and restaurants are within 2 miles. The room was quiet. Well worth the money.

Nice people! Very comfortable bed. Good value!! Great parking. Easy to find.

This hotel had an amazing shower. The couple of things i didn't like is no open ice machine and no baggie provided for the ice bucket. He took my ice bucket and filled it in back. Ice seemed to be from personal regrigerator and no kind of ice machine. Light over our table was burned out. Room was very clean and decorated nicely.

This is more of a motel than hotel, with about 20 units. My room was roomy with a fridge, a desk and table as well as two queen-sized beds. The bathroom was small but efficient. No breakfast was offered. The location was quite convenient in terms of getting on and off the Mass. turnpike. Next to the motel was a plaza with a supermarket and a Mexican restaurant (with excellent food!) among other stores. Across the street was a gas station with good prices. The wifi was iffy. It kept gong in and out. The TV service was fine. It was a comfortable stay.

Verry happy with our stay and we will stay here again in the future on our way to Maine or Boston. Parking had room for both our van and small trailer. The owner and wife are friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 18, and the owner actually took us to our room to show us where everything was and to ensure the room was to our liking. How many hotel owners do that for you, plus are willing to help you bring your bags in? The room has two comfortable queen beds, feather comforters, four heavy feather pillows per bed. They are in hypoallergenic casings, but my wife has problems with feathers. This is a universal issue in hotels, so she brings her own. I, however, love the weight of of feather comforters, so they were perfect for me. Yes, a few minor nicks in the furniture and a couple of small, light stains on the expensive comforters, but all pillowcasings and sheets were snow white, not worn, and clean. The owner is very adamant, do not smoke in the room! He repeated this several times and will have no problem with enforcing the fines. The room was clean, fresh, well kept, and no bugs. Refrigerator and microwave were clean, worked well, and near a small round table. We really liked the small table with two chairs, making it like a breakfast corner. AC was okay and did cool the room. No need for the heater on this stay. The best part is the bathroom. Modern, tiled, clean, and with a fancy shower and lights. Fantastic! Nice neighborhood, simple breakfast. See the garden!

The location is close to a roadway and tends to be noisy in the evening but later at night there wasn't much traffic. The TV remote was hard to figure out - I couldn't find any instructions. The TV itself I had to figure out the buttons on the back to power it up and adjust the volume. Wifi was super fast but was adequate. Room had a microwave and refrigerator as well as a coffee maker and coffee packs. Parking was right outside the door. Overall a good choice. .

This small older motel really put in a lot of effort to make the rooms nicer, and updated bathrooms. Really clean! The sheets faintly smell like bleach, which is comforting to me in a motel. The newly added shower head and light up mirror are great! The older wood furniture like chest of drawers and table show signs of wear but what do I care?! I just want clean sheets and a nice shower and they very successfully met my needs! There was also a small fridge and microwave in my room. I would stay here again when I return to the area again next year for the same event. If I made two suggestions to them it would be add something to hang clothes on with a few hangers and perhaps a full length mirror.

Never changed the towels or gave more toilet paper. Never cleaned the room over 5 days. Sink got clogged and my sister and i were made to sit in the room for 2 hours while they fixed it and they refused to give us another room so we could go to bed.... Claimed they were fully booked when we could see they were not. The room keys needed to be fixed every single day so they would work. I honestly want some money back.

I went in blankets were dirty , room smelled, no lights were plugged in, went into the bathroom to shower and had a hard time with hot water, shower was nasty and while I was cleaning it, I ran roaches down the drain. Terrible I left in minutes

Room review (through the agency I booked through): The room smells, but I can't quite place the odor - it's different than anything I have ever encountered. Perhaps curry and some other. The room needs a thorough cleaning as in completely sanitized. Did not trust putting any personal items down anywhere. No electrical outlets by nightstand. There is one but is unaccessible behind the headboard. Was unable to close the window side drapes all the way, which allowed outside night light to shine through. There isca very bright light on the outside bybthe entry to the room.These outer drapes are merely decorative and do not travel completely across. The desk is positioned incorrectly where the electrical duplex is right where one would sit. The desk electrical cord hole is also on the outer side. There is no lamp at the desk. There is no place to hang clothes. There is no closet anywhere in the room. There is no clotheshook in the bathroom. Where one existed on the back of the bathroom door has been painted over. The bathroom has no place to hang clothes. All the towels, washcloths and bath mat were off-white indicating bleach was not used during laundering. They also had an off odor. The room rate is over over-priced. I would not recommend anyone staying here until rooms are better kept.

Very simple motel style but renovated. Very clean. Th mattress is firm type. Towels are thin but functional. Bedding is simple but clean. The impressive thing is the shower. High water pressure, hot water, the shower can shoot vertically, horizontally, foot washing. You almost can get massage on every part of the body. The utilities are just like normal motel.

The pictures of the property is quite deceiving, I thought it was a hotel NOT motel. Mold around the cocking in the bathroom and yellow and black stained bedding. Remind you that the bedding is white. Would not recommend to anyone who is looking for a normal place to stay.

We stayed for 2 nights. It was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in my lifetime life. There was even hairs on the bed. The sheets were dirty and there was a bad smell in the room

I mistakenly booked here thinking it was a Hampton Inn but this is just a simple roadside Motel. The room smelled and the bed was rock hard. It looked like breakfast was “continental”. I decided to eat my loses and leave to go to a real hotel a few blocks away.

The bathroom door stuck my wife couldn’t get out. The bed was large but could feel springs when laying down. Was a rough night sleep

The room was OK. This is an older strip motel that has had some up-grades but is in need of 'fit & finish" repairs and touchups by and experienced handyman. Also there is no light above the bathroom mirror, and only one small ceiling light, so it is very hard to see your face clearly in the mirror. My last comment is one that cannot be fixed but customers should be sure to request a room farthest from the highway, or bring earplugs.

The bed was firm but I like that so I mean if you don't probably won't like that aspect. The wall art was nice and made me feel at home and the bathroom updates were a nice touch

The folks running it were very friendly. We were escorted to our room and shown the features of the room. Also had a chance to ask any questions we might have. I’ve never had this kind of check-in service before at any hotel. The room was clean and decorated nicely with a beautiful floor but there was no lamp by the bed. The shower was big and had a huge shower head and body jets but there was mold on the grout where the front wall met the shower floor. Also the bathroom mirror was mounted a little too high to be completely useful.

This is a very dated property with many upgrades but a curious mix. Shower was fantastic, but rest of bathroom not fixed up since sixties. Excellent bed and most of decor, but no thought to wall plugs or the antique heater left in the wall. Most memorable though was the surly manager who was not at all helpful. I finished the thimble of coffee their tiny machine offered. When I asked for more I got yelled at. I left 3 days before my reservation was over and did not ask for a refund from the miserable manager

I enjoyed the helpfulness of this family-owned Motel. They were very friendly and the gardens were beautiful. It is small and not fancy but I felt good during my stay there!

Check in was easy. The staff was professional and friendly and helpful. Our room was neat in appearance and clean. The shower was updated and fantastic. The air conditioning worked well. The microwave and fridge came in handy. The tv was a good size and had a lot of channels. We will be back!

Very safe and calm. The cars on the road felt very close and loud for me and I was able to switch rooms, which was very accommodating. It is very quiet besides that factor.

Hotel charged different (higher)than the reservation on Hotels.com Hotel front desk says they could give the room to anybody if showed up before us,because the room was not prepayed (Although Hotels.com deal “was” “book now pay at hotel” Hotel does not serve breakfast in contrary to “with breakfast “ terms on Hotels.com reservation And the hotel felt like abondoned for at least 10years before this owner took over with all his savings leaving no budget for operation

Small family-owned place. Beds were very confortable. It is kept very clean. Very walkable area, several food choices close by.

My boyfriend and I stayed for the weekend. Close access to plenty of dining and shopping. Grocery store as well as a gas station right across the street! We thought the room was so cute! I fell in love with the shower! And the staff were very friendly and welcoming!

Such a nice family run motel. Condessa Mexican Restaurant is excellent and a short walk.

The room was too close to a busy roadway. Literally within 25'. The room door was lacking a seal, so there was a line of sight outside, and nothing to block the sound of the traffic on the adjacent roadway. Up side, the proprietor/s were very nice and accommodatiing. The room was clean. A simple improvement suggestion, add a small soap tray within the shower enclosure. It's very awkward to shower and hold onto the soap simultaneously.

We selected this location based on the rate and wanted to stay in a smaller town. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable and there was a strong WIFI signal. We felt we had great value for the amount we paid (8/10).

It was...meh. The family was very nice. The husband took a bottle of vinegar and left to spray our room while the wife checked us in, then he walked us into the room and showed us around, which was odd for a motel. after he left we realized it was probably so we couldn't see the condition of the front door. You could see through the bottom, which we covered with a sheet, and you had to push it open from the jamb to lock it, which meant it sounded like we were sleeping on the sidewalk. The air conditioner that doesn't condition air very well was old and loud enough to cover that, so it wasn't a big deal. Wendy's delivered chili with forks and nuggets with no sauce, so we figured that may be the worst thing that happened to us for the stay. We weren't really bothered by the complete lack of a clock or any method to wake up, since we both decided to just hit the road early and stop tossing and turning. If you need a bed for $111, this is the place for you. If you desire literally anything else, you should probably go elsewhere. The shower was cool. The lack of a place to put anything made it a bit awkward. That kind of thing. You can tell they tried really hard to turn a busted old motel into something nice, and they're almost there. Fix just a few more things and we'd be willing to pay up to $120 to stay. We didn't go see the breakfast. We were more frightened than curious. I'm sure it was lovely. You get what you pay for. In this price range, it's 5-star.

Check out is 10:30am, they DON'T have breakfast. When we went to check in, they didn't have what we reserved so we had to take a different room as it was all they had. Room smelt like someone smoked in it. The heaters did work. Food spots about 5 min drive away.

Don’t provide breakfast ! Expedia indicated that breakfast is included , coffee maker inside the room is broken, heating system is not functioning properly, freezing! Will not visit the Motel again !

No cable to see tv. No breakfast and other

Was just looking for a place to crash for the night and the Hamilton Inn fit the bill. It was one of the less expensive places in town. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom. The room was also very clean and the beds comfortable. It is a motel not a hotel. The door lock was key of tricky. The air conditioner worked well but seemed to have a slight odor. It says breakfast included but there was no breakfast. So…. Would I take a date here? Probably not. But if you are in Sturbridge just looking for a place to crash it was more than adequate,

At the last minute, we shopped around Sturbridge MA for a room to visit family. We opted to stay in the HAMILTON INN in Sturbridge and only one room left . It was $160 + and the reviews were that it was clean. We were led to our room by hotel staff as we got there later in the evening. The front door of the room looked old and batter. (This section of the hotel looked older than the front section.) We finally got the door to lock to secure the door for the night. Pulling down the beds, we human hair in the sheets in both beds (as if they were washed and dry with the hair in it.) The sheets looked clean, but still were a bit discolored and had spots . I checked the corners for any bugs. The towels in the bathroom looked as if they were wash, but yet were discolored as the sheets. We went to have our complimentary breakfast. There was moldy bread in the glass case for you to make toast and the cream cheese was covered with blue mold when we tried to toast a bagel. The coffee had a horrible flavor to it. I surely want someone to read this to prevent others from having this experience. I room was definitely not worth the money paid.
