I truly enjoyed being so close to the ocean shore; I could hear the waves crashing at night (especially if it was windy). The bathroom had been modernized and I appreciated the light-up mirror over the sink. There had been a severe storm threat that weekend, so the management arranged for extra sand to be dumped to prevent flooding. There was no bar present due to the storm, and most eating establishments had closed, so it was very quiet with few people around. I recommend more lighting for the balconies and stairs; it was a bit dark for me. (Perhaps there is brighter lighting in-season; as a senior citizen, I need more light.) For my needs this trip, it was very satisfactory. Those who do not require a lot of fru-fru or extra amenities, but like a strong beach vibe, would love it here!

The hotel has a beautiful location, right on the ocean. Liked the ocean views, and the quiet ambience. I was there off season, so not much was open in the immediate area. We stayed in a recently redone room that was simply decorated and perfect for a beach ambiance. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was attractive. I would have liked a coffee maker in the room.

Overall stay was great. Room was clean, sun was shining, bar was open and drinks were great. We ordered the black and blue burger which was great as well. Bartenders were extremely nice and were quick to attend to your needs. The room we stayed in however, had an air conditioner that was extremely loud and “kicked” on so loud that continuously woke us up. Upon check out we discussed this with the clerk and her reply was “no one else has complained.” I was not looking for a refund just simply wanted the next persons stay to not be the same. I did not feel heard, I felt dismissed. No apology, no thank you. I love this place I’ve stayed there at least four times, this time however was not as pleasant.
