The house was set up perfectly for family gatherings with a nice open space indoors. The main room is more spacious than in the pictures with high ceilings, fire place, and a great dining room with windows surrounding. Our favorite place was a corner with chairs that overlooked the deck and water view. And tables on the deck to enjoy the great view. My husband never left the dock and had great luck catching sea trout, shrimp, huge crabs, and plenty of bait fish, including mullet with a casting net. Two fish we kept and were able to have fresh fish for dinner! The location worked out well since Lady’s Island is a short drive into downtown Beaufort and Port Royal. Definitely arrive the first time during daylight since it is easier to find. We were also able to easily drive to Hunting Island Park, and so glad we did! Definitely worth checking out. No fish but were told that fishing the incoming tide on the beach by the pilings and lighthouse has resulted in redfish.

Absolutely beautiful. If you bring a boat a little tight at very low tide but had no problem 1 hr before/after if you’re careful. The house is beautiful and the view is spectacular. Very clean and comfortable. Owner is very easy to reach and super nice. We look forward to booking at this house again.

We stayed for 8 days and everything was amazing. Peaceful, clean, and comfy. Kids loved crabbing down on the dock using just a piece of rope and a chicken leg! Would go back in a heartbeat. From the driveway to the dock and everything in between, this place is excellent! So good we asked to stay one more day! The layout of the property was perfect for our boat and vehicles. The weather was fantastic - we can only thank God for that. The house was very inviting and spotless. Everything we needed was available. The beds were great, and none squeaked (our pet peeve). The water pressure was fantastic, so in every shower, you got a massage. The washer and dryer worked great! We were able to go home with all clean clothes. The dock area was perfect. Our boat fit nicely, and the marsh is just something you can't explain. Wonderful! The neighbors are very friendly. The owner, Eric, was very easy to work with. He answered our questions within a reasonable amount of time. He shared a lot of information about where the best fishing spots were and even provided maps. The check-in and check-out requirements were easy and quick. We've stayed in MANY VRBO homes, and this is our top favorite. The location, house, dock, everything was great. We stayed 8 nights and left wanting to stay more. If you decide to choose this place, you won't be disappointed.

Nice property and very quiet location , close to restaurants if you want to go , but the kitchen has enough to prepare meals if you wanted to do that one evening and enjoy the deck . We sat on the dock and relaxed a few mornings and enjoyed the natural sounds of nature . The only issues we had was the AC not cooling very well in the master bed room it never dropped below 75 and the week was very cool temps outside so it could be an issue on hotter weeks . The driveway is dirt which is not terrible but we have a SUV , if you had a lower sports car you may need to be careful. Coming in at night there are no lights due to the distance off the road and heavily wooded but it’s nice to not hear cars and loud noises. Again we enjoyed the week but the AC was an issue at night while sleeping we could tell it was not as cool as we would have liked it .

We are two couples in our seventies and we found this house to be excellent. The house is spotless and comfortable with views of the marsh that make sitting on the deck at any time of the day a memorable and relaxing experience. The song birds in the trees also add to the backdrop. I also enjoyed walking to the end of the dock to observe the marsh life and the tides. The location of the property is very quiet and convenient for trips to the store, nearby towns and Hunting Island. Communication regarding the directions for arrival, checking in and departure are clear, concise and easy to follow. It is obvious that Eric the host takes pride in this special property. Owner super kind, welcoming and helpful. Home was just as described. Simply gorgeous with so much beautiful natural light due to the exterior walls being mostly glass!...interior tastefully simple with vaulted wood ceilings...looking out on the creek, marsh and woodland. Really a splendid experience. Hope to return soon!

We enjoyed our stay the week of Christmas. Peaceful location and comfortable home. Had everything we needed and also enjoyed the fireplace. Recommend for a relaxing stay and would certainly stay again when we are back in town.

We are two couples in our seventies and we found this house to be excellent. The house is spotless and comfortable with views of the marsh that make sitting on the deck at any time of the day a memorable and relaxing experience. The song birds in the trees also add to the backdrop. I also enjoyed walking to the end of the dock to observe the marsh life and the tides. The location of the property is very quiet and convenient for trips to the store, nearby towns and Hunting Island. Communication regarding the directions for arrival, checking in and departure are clear, concise and easy to follow. It is obvious that Eric the host takes pride in this special property. The photos that accompany the web site really do show what to expect. The four of us highly recommend this property as a wonderful place to relax and explore the Beaufort area.

Owner super kind, welcoming and helpful. Home was just as described. Simply gorgeous with so much beautiful natural light due to the exterior walls being mostly glass!...interior tastefully simple with vaulted wood ceilings...looking out on the creek, marsh and woodland. Really a splendid experience. Hope to return soon!

It was a last minute decision for us to stay at this property while on our way from Hilton Head Island. Luckily the days we wanted were available. BOY, WHAT A GREAT DECISION WE MADE! This property is incredible! Eric was great and provided us all the info we needed promptly and accurately. The property was secluded, quiet and private without being far away from everything the low country has to offer. The cabin has a rustic feel with wonderful modern/updated accommodations .I can't say enough, except we shall return!!! Thanks Eric!

Absolutely beautiful. If you bring a boat a little tight at very low tide but had no problem 1 hr before/after if you’re careful. The house is beautiful and the view is spectacular. Very clean and comfortable. Owner is very easy to reach and super nice. We look forward to booking at this house again.

Eric was very responsive to our needs. Eric's home was perfect for our needs, and the view was exceptional. While our stay was very short, the time we had would have been much more enjoyable, if the monsoons had not hit while we were there! Thanks, Eric for sharing your home with us!

Lucy Creek Lodge is a very well appointed, very comfortable house in an absolutely beautiful location. Eric was very helpful in answering the few questions we had and made sure our stay was to our liking. Unfortunately, we could not stay for our entire week, but that was due to tripical storm Idalia coming through. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Lucy Creek Lodge next time our vacation plans take us to Beaufort.

We stayed for 8 days and everything was amazing. Peaceful, clean, and comfy. Kids loved crabbing down on the dock using just a piece of rope and a chicken leg! Would go back in a heartbeat. Had a bit of trouble with the washing machine and Eric had someone out to fix it within a couple of hours. Fantastic time!

From the driveway to the dock and everything in between, this place is excellent! So good we asked to stay one more day! The layout of the property was perfect for our boat and vehicles. The weather was fantastic - we can only thank God for that. The house was very inviting and spotless. Everything we needed was available. The beds were great, and none squeaked (our pet peeve). The water pressure was fantastic, so in every shower, you got a massage. The washer and dryer worked great! We were able to go home with all clean clothes. The dock area was perfect. Our boat fit nicely, and the marsh is just something you can't explain. Wonderful! The neighbors are very friendly. The owner, Eric, was very easy to work with. He answered our questions within a reasonable amount of time. He shared a lot of information about where the best fishing spots were and even provided maps. The house was set up perfectly for family gatherings with a nice open space indoors. The main room is more spacious than in the pictures with high ceilings, fire place, and a great dining room with windows surrounding. Our favorite place was a corner with chairs that overlooked the deck and water view. And tables on the deck to enjoy the great view. My husband never left the dock and had great luck catching sea trout, shrimp, huge crabs, and plenty of bait fish, including mullet with a casting net. Two fish we kept and were able to have fresh fish for dinner! The location worked out well since Lady’s Island is a short drive into downtown Beaufort and Port Royal. Definitely arrive the first time during daylight since it is easier to find. We were also able to easily drive to Hunting Island Park, and so glad we did! Definitely worth checking out. No fish but were told that fishing the incoming tide on the beach by the pilings and lighthouse has resulted in redfish.

The home looks like something out of a Pat Conroy film.It was beautiful and peaceful and I personally loved the home and setting.The approach road was unique and Eric had an incredible home and I would highly recommend anyone and everyone staying here.Super close to all the good eateries.

This location was really beautiful. The dock and the view was awesome to wake up to. The house was clean and well maintained. It’s hidden away from the street so feels secluded. It was a really nice stay!

Nice property and very quiet location , close to restaurants if you want to go , but the kitchen has enough to prepare meals if you wanted to do that one evening and enjoy the deck . We sat on the dock and relaxed a few mornings and enjoyed the natural sounds of nature . The only issues we had was the AC not cooling very well in the master bed room it never dropped below 75 and the week was very cool temps outside so it could be an issue on hotter weeks . The driveway is dirt which is not terrible but we have a SUV , if you had a lower sports car you may need to be careful. Coming in at night there are no lights due to the distance off the road and heavily wooded but it’s nice to not hear cars and loud noises. Again we enjoyed the week but the AC was an issue at night while sleeping we could tell it was not as cool as we would have liked it .

The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. Check in was easy and the host answered all questions including information about bringing our boat. An added plus for us is that we caught some crab off the dock! We would definitely recommend and would want to rent again.

The property is 10 minutes or so from the historic downtown, right on the creek & marsh so you feel a world apart. Peaceful & well appointed for small to larger gatherings. Your host Eric, is readily available & accommodating. We had a lovely time & highly recommend this "retreat" within the town!

We loved this place, it’s very quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. We loved that you can view the marsh from inside, as well as being able to fish without having to leave. Not far from stores and restaurants. I would highly recommend.
