The Wanderoo Lodge

Staff was great and super helpful. Rooms have minor upgrades. Though lighting options are a modern selection, they are small for the size of the room. Minimum blanketing and pillows are provided. In our room, there were only 2 little pillows per bed. Lighting outside is great, but it can still be a bit creepy going to room if you are in “the basement” area near the pool. Room was reminiscent of an old 70’s lake rental or remod prison cell. Parking is limited and one direction. Very tight.

I've been vacationing at the Wanderoo Lodge since '21. Between the pool, Gravel Bar and Grill and the fire pit, you really don't need to go anywhere! It's always a fun time at the Wanderoo.

It was a great experience. Loved the live music! Food was overpriced but delicious.

Nice bar with band at night. Absolutely no parking. Owner super nice helps us find parking. Great location. Updated rooms.

The Gravel bar food and service were excellent. The bed in my room was comfortable. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. If I had a critique, it would be to put better lighting in the rooms. Also, the swimming pool was drained and had nasty water in the bottom of it. I would stay again.

Super awesome front desk staff, and amazing staff working at the bar that night. They were busy with the crowd for the live band that was playing but were very quick and efficient and super nice and polite. Pool was unfortunately closed for renovations which kind of sucked but enjoyed the atmosphere of the whole place.

This is a cool little hotel that is like taking a step back in time. With that said, it does not have a lot of amenities you would expect for the price. It could definitely use some improvements or maybe the price should come down. Hard to justify how much I spent to stay there other than it was close to the Volkswagen show. It was super cute the the staff was super helpful. There is a bar and grill on site which was nice. We enjoyed swimming in the afternoon and sitting around the fire pit at night. Great location.

Nice little motel with a decent pool, good bed even though worn and a great little bar and restaurant especially for $70 a night plus tax. IT is a cool place

I don’t like that there is not someone on staff to talk to about that situation! There is as No one there when I left the next morning either.

Room was clean. Bathroom clean. A little musty smell in the room. Big room for sure but carpet needs work replaced or just flooring instead. Would be nice to have a luggage stand and a chest for clothing as we were there 4 nights. Beautiful property! Friendly staff and guests. Had a little issue but owners absolutely went above and took care of us. Thank you!

The floor of my room was very sticky. They are renovating, which is needed. music is GREAT.

The rates at pretty high for what you get. The pool is a small concrete pit. The rooms are halfway remodeled, so the bathroom is straight out of the 70s. We found hair in the shower, found a ladybug on the pillow as soon as we checked in. A bug in the bathroom. I get it’s Arkansas in the summer, but come on. The stairs and deck are shoddy. For $200 a night it’s just not worth it! There are cheaper places to stay that are nicer. The only perk is there is a great restaurant/bar next door with live music.

No parking, rooms where very dark, bugs inside room, mold on tile in old tub/shower, window AC, outside of door was tore up & painted over, very steep steps getting to room.

A chemical odor permeates the room. This is not a cleaning product I have ever smelled. Dropped my luggage & upon my return two hours later the smell was just as strong. Clothing left in the room had the odor, Checked out with burning eyes!!!!!!! Property is very run down

It is an ok place, but WAYYYYYYYY overpriced. I paid $223 for one night in a standard king room. The staff was nice, office and Gravel bar are very nice areas, but the rooms and stairs leading to the rooms are lacking. The rooms are very basic and our bathroom was very outdated and old. Old blue tile, old mirror and a toilet that was leaning way to the right. Carpet needed to be cleaned, locks on windows were broken (they were plenty big enough for an adult person to climb thru) mattress was comfy but the bedding was thin and not warm. Pillows were very small. Our room looked nothing like the photo that was portrayed. The concrete stairs leading up to the second floor were chipped and broken, as well as the railing being rusted and wiggly, and just not safe. Every time we went up them, we joked about at how easily you could fall on them. The city experienced a power outage from about 1 pm until 8:30 pm (not Wanderoo’s fault), but the staff did not go around and check on guests and no offer to discount the already overpriced room was made for the inconvenience. The rooms here are $100 rooms at best. I’d definitely recommend the Gravel bar, but not the cheap old rooms.

This cozy little motel is clean and comfortable. The rooms have been updated and they are cute! The restaurant/bar was excellent and food delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful! I would recommend this quaint little spot for anyone visiting Eureka!

We had a great time here! The few negatives: the bed was really hard (but it was nice to have a king size bed), the room was cooled by an old school ac unit, which was loud, and kicked on and off, and the room was very dated and not very sound proof. I heard the birds early in the morning, very clearly. HOWEVER, I know they're slowly renovating the rooms so I'm giving allowance for that. The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was really fun with the fire pit and the bar with the band. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay or are a light sleeper, this won't be the place for you. I loved going to to sleep to the sound of the band. I would stay here again.

Charming Stay with a Few Quirks Our stay at Wanderoo Lodge in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, was pleasant overall, with a few things to note. Upon booking, management informed us of a $100 amenities hold placed on our credit card, refunded after our stay. While we had no issues, this could surprise guests unfamiliar with the process, especially those using bank cards. The lodge is in a quiet, convenient location just off the main road. Parking was a bit tricky due to hills and uneven surfaces, but manageable. The room was clean, updated, and comfortable with a soft pillow-top bed, functioning air conditioning, and a walk-in shower. However, water pressure was low—likely common in the area—and the only mirror was in the restroom, which might be inconvenient for some guests. Limited electrical outlets mean you may want to bring an extension cord. A shared back porch offered a lovely wooded view, and while we didn’t use the swimming pool due to the season, it appeared clean and well-kept. The lodge operates like a motel, with parking directly outside your room. Door locks are key-fob operated, auto-locking after a few moments—be cautious not to lock the key inside as there’s a fee for unlocking. Numerous instructional signs throughout the room felt a bit excessive. The front desk staff were kind and helpful. Overall, Wanderoo Lodge is a comfortable retreat with a few quirks to consider, ideal for a peaceful stay in Eureka Springs.

Coffee maker was broken, we didn't have sheets on the pull-out sleeper, the pull-out sleeper was the worst I have ever slept on.

The vibe of the motel was unique, funky and welcoming. Felt completely safe with my two children. We arrived right after a bunch of rain and some minor flooding. The manager (owner?) made it right for us and made sure our carpet was clean.

As always the staff made our stay great! Comfortable rooms, great bar/restaurant on property. One of our favorite places to stay!

I wanted to love this place but if you support historic, quirky old properties, don’t chose this. PROS: pet friendly & convenient location. But so is the charming remodeled Best Western across the street, where parking is ample and staff is professional. CONS: amenities listed for room (desk, iron, housekeeping) don’t exist. Amenities you take for granted like comfortable, ample bedding, bath mat, housekeeping, outlets and places to hang clothes and wet towels, a parking space, documentation showing room charges & policies, desk staff to check in/out, locking windows/doors, a sink stopper, GFCI outlet in the bath/any outlet at all in the bath, exhaust fan in bath…all nonexistent. Also expect to be chided and charged more if you book through Expedia after trying to book directly showed no vacancy. The best thing about this place is their advertising and the youngest lady on staff. But all the attention went into campy claims, not actually providing a clean, comfortable and well-lit basic room with what travelers need: a decent mattress & pillows, sturdy lounge chair, outlets for everything in the room plus guest’s needs, a place for luggage so not on the musty carpet, a place for used towels, a place for toiletries in the bath, a place to park when you return after a long day—and even if plain all should be clean and in good repair. There are just too many better options at this price and location to risk your vacation time here.

I enjoyed my 2-night stay here in one of the cabins. The staff in the office and restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The lodge is right off of 62, so it was really convenient to get in and out of, and there's a gas station and convenience store right next door. I ate at the onsite restaurant my first night there and had the pickle pizza, which had house-made pickles. It was sooo good. I highly recommend the lodge and restaurant.

Great place to stay overnight or for a couple days. Great location to nearby restaurants/shops and close to downtown.

Peaceful setting & quiet

This is a great small motel. Historic and simple with basic room needs. The bar and restaurant are great (karaoke every night we were there). Front courtyard was nice with a firepit and chairs available. Rear deck looked out on a urban forest with a nice surprise. There was a white tail doe with 2 babies that hung out right off the deck! We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Eureka Springs.

This was a fantastic property! The beds and shower were great. The room was very clean and decorated cute. We enjoyed the live music at the bar/grill and it was a quick 45 second walk to our room!

No ice machine on the property, Restaurant is not full service very very limited menu, not a single plug in the bathroom, impossible to use hair dryer or curling iron.

Everyone was so nice! The chicken wonton pizza is the best thing i’ve ever eaten
