The hotel was good, however I have one complaint not related to hotel itself. The hotel is slightly off the road and is difficult to see until you are next to it. There are two inconspicuous signs, one for each direction, that do not help the visitor find the entrance. A larger sign visible from at least 100 m would be a great help for visitors.

I arrived after check in closed. The key was easy to locate. The property needs lights to mark the entry to the driveway as it is quite bushy and on a busy road and there are lots of lovely trees which make it difficult to see the entry.

Very comfortable bed with good bedding an electrc blanket. Good kitchenette. Good cleanliness overall however, the tv remote control was very dirty/unhygenic. The aircon unit very noisy.

The room was dirty, and the bed was very worn out and exyremely uncomfortable. The electricity blew a fuse when using the kettle, and no staff to help. So not a pleasant stay I dont recommend this accommodation

Place was clean which is why i gave 2 stars. The reception was not very helpful in telling me how out-of-hours check-in works - an email I got said to notify them and they would text me a code. No code was sent after notifying them, and I had to follow up twice to figure out that they don’t use a code system - she was clearly getting annoyed at me but I’m not a mind reader… LOL. Also, the wifi didn’t work, and the TV didn’t work - it turned on but did not give me any TV or let me log on to my streaming accounts. I was… very bored. There was no wall plug near the main bed so I couldn’t plug my phone in where I was sleeping after a full day of draining its battery.

The bathroom plumbing was making a loud noise every 5-10 minutes. It was coming from Toilet tap and once turned off stopped it for the night. Sounded like it would suddenly try and fill all of sudden despite not being used but was quite loud and keeping us awake until we turned the tap off.

It's an old school motor inn that had been there as long as I can remember and looks a bit tired on the outside. The staff are friendly, you can park right outside your door, new modern and clean bathroom, big rooms and it's only a few minutes into Mittagong. Great price. I'll be back!

Very disappointed with this stay, heading home from a big road trip and this was the most expensive yet uncomfortable room we had by far. On entry, the decor near made my eyes water, we laughed that off until we realised the mattress was very very old and uncomfortable, to the point where something jabbed my partner through the mattress and made him bleed. Complaints made and no response. Really disappointing.

When we arrived, the air-conditioner/heater did not work. The staff had to be contacted by phone. The problem was that the batteries in the remote were dead. The staff person directed us where to find on the site the replacement batteries, and the problem was quickly solved.

Room was ok. Beds were comfortable. Required using both air con heaters. Bathroom small and cramped. Toilet was separate. Not ideal if you don’t have your own transport. Reception also lacked welcome attitude on arrival.

Pros: Big room Cons: Very dated, dark and dingy room. The room needs everything updated. Very noisy from the main road. The office was shut and there were no staff to be seen anywhere. Very bad driveway, and there are no shops or restaurants close by to walk to .

The signage like name of the hotel should have lights at night. Else, it would be easy to miss the entrance. It's just good for sleeping over. Would had been good if they have food to offer.

We have stayed at the poplars three times now they’re nice of the style rooms and have recently been renovated. It’s very simple easy all that you need. One thing, though of all the places we stay this holiday this is the only one that didn’t have face washers

The whole place needs some care. From the pot holed drive way, to the broken pegolas in the front, water stains in room cealing, door on shower recess about to fall off, no hand soap in dispenser, freezer in fridge frosted up etc. Could be an ideal place if some effort put in.
