Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Resort Spa Mizu no Uta

Amazing buffet for dinner and breakfast, small shop inside was full of goodies. Great facilities including public baths and even a separate foot bath. Building infrastructure is a bit outdated but not a real problem.

This was our second stay at this property after 10 years. There are many nice amenities such as the pillow bar, gym, onsen, etc. however the facility is getting a bit dated and can use an upgrade. Pillows looked old, additional power points in room, room doors should be electronic by now, etc. Meals are ok but very crowded around drink station and entrance to restaurant. Not a good layout. Quantity of food was good but at hot buffet, food was not hot so not very appetizing seeing the same things sitting there drying out such as Eggs Benedict. The onsen is the best feature with a giant sauna and several baths. There is a generous amount of room around each shower station. We were disappointed with some staff. The Chinese girl that escorted us to the room did not fully explain everything and gave some incorrect information. She seemed not very happy to be working. Just one example; I asked multiple times for slippers to wear around the hotel and she said there are none. Later a staff member at the desk (Canadian flag) was so nice and said of course and brought us several pairs of slippers. Also we went to the spa to arrange foot massage. But there was no staff at the reception areas. I had to keep looking and eventually found both staff in a break room chatting. A guest shouldn’t have to search for staff like that. All the Japanese staff were very kind and helpful. But the Chinese were not very friendly. Sad to see. Overall good stay, but not excellent.

There were still very few guests after Covid and we enjoyed the quietness and tranquility. Loved the food, hot spring, antique speakers, harp performance in the lobby and walk around the lake. Highly recommended.

Stayed in the room with outside onsen bath. Very spacious with massage chair and Netflix etc available on tv. Plenty of amenities, dessert from the onsite patisserie, kaiseki dinners, live harp music in lobby, roasting marshmallows , great steep sound system in lobby. Nice service! Loved the padded velvet robe/coat!

Everything is impeccable! A truly relaxing experience! We were very well taken care of. The food is amazing and with a great variety of options. The onsen is very clean, particularly love the outdoor onsen after a night of snow fall.

I highly recommend this onsen hotel in Hokkaido. The hotel is well decorated, comfortable, quiet, and 5 stars in staff service. Their breakfast and dinner buffet are wonderful and full of fresh and healthy choices. Hot spring area is excellent. We had a relaxing stay at the hotel.

국립공원안에 있는 호젓한 고급 료칸 스타일 호텔입니다. 시코츠호수에서 2분 거리이며 스위트룸은 룸으로 조식.석식 정성스럽게 서빙해줍니다. 음료.주류도 식대에 포함되어 좋았습니다. 하루에4번 무료하프연주가 있고.온천내 예쁜 노천온천도 있습니다. 카누 카약. 자전거.하이킹종류의 레저를 즐길수 있고.여름엗시원하지만.겨울에 오면 너무 좋을거 같네요. 또 방문하고 싶은 너무나도 편안하고 친절한 호텔입니다. 조용히 휴식을 하고 싶으신 분들 추천합니다.

期待以上でした！ なによりご飯が美味しい！ 種類も多くメニューのバランスがいい！ 食べることが大好きな夫もかなり満足していました！ そしてお湯の質が最高！本当お肌ツルツルになります！ 次はゆっくり連泊で訪れたいです！ リピートは確定です！

初めて行きました お料理もスタッフの方もとても素晴らしかったです 露天風呂やバルコニーなど、外と接しているところほとんどに蜘蛛の巣がありました。 自然を大事にしているのでしょうか、それだけが残念でした

Otherwise, the service was top notch, excellent buffet dinner and breakfast. There’s nice outdoor onsen too. Bus pick up and drop off was easy. Would definitely visit again and stay longer next time.

網戸が壊れていてガムテープで故障と表示されていた。トイレの鍵が閉まりにくい。お部屋からビュッフェ会場までの距離が長い。一旦外に出るため冬の利用はないと感じた。

We booked a room with private bath tub however the bath tub was dirty and we were told we couldn’t drain the water to clean it. We were given the option to use another room’s bath tub but that defeats the purpose of paying for a room with a private bath.

I\'ve visited Japan many times and stayed in various hotels and ryokan resorts across multiple cities. Unfortunately, Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Resort Spa MIZU no UTA was the first to disappoint me. While checking in at the self-service kiosk, I was updating my email address when a staff member abruptly took over and said, "not required," without even notifying me first. Later, the same staff led us to our room, walking ahead of us without much courtesy. When I inquired about a late checkout, she informed me it would cost 3,000 yen per hour, which was expected, but her tone and attitude were unprofessional. The biggest issue, however, was the smell. Both of our rooms had a strong odor of cigarettes, possibly due to air circulation from the smoking rooms on the 3rd floor. When I reported this, the staff insisted it was the smell of cleaning detergent. After requesting to check another room, it was clear the problem was not the detergent as the new room had no odor. Only one of our rooms was switched, leaving the other unresolved, and we were left to deal with it ourselves. Lastly, for the price I paid, the value was disappointing. The facilities felt run-down, the bedsheets didn’t fully cover the mattress, and the mattress itself was old and worn.

員工服務非常周到,第一次碰到幫客人保管鞋子的旅館,而且第一次幫我們拿鞋子的員工,光看臉就能直接拿出我們的鞋子,實在太神了。 附2餐,晚餐可以自選一種主餐,披薩也很好吃,現場製作的甜點和果汁都很好吃。 房間的室外按摩浴缸太棒了,景色和溫度都很棒,還有按摩椅。 推薦大家來住,物有所值，下次還來住。

The hotel is a Japanese style resort by the Lake, ("traditional" and "old world style"; We had to take off our shoes at the hotel entrance). Yet it had all the modern amenities expected these days. My wife and I stayed in the Premier Suite recently. It was very spacious and had a private Onsen. The living room had a lovely view of the tall trees lining the Lake, and 2 large massage arm chairs to enjoy the sunset view. Dinner was served in the Suite, kaiseki style, on the large dining table. Breakfast was served in a "private" dining area in the adjoining restaurant, and there was a view of the garden area in front of the Lake. The bathroom was large, and had a fantastic shower (but no bathtub). We enjoyed walking around the lovely neighbouring lakeside area and looking at the Volcano mountains. Hotel staff were always present, polite and helpful - Overall, a most pleasant stay !

The layout of the room #217 with onsen out in open space is great and impressive. Food in the restaurant is superb. Only complaint is the lack of direction to the property especially after sunset. Love this hotel very much.

Everything is good, everything we like. Also help a lot when my trip schedule has changed. Really recommend it!

The resort is so quiet but yet with many guests! Food was excellent. Staff is super friendly with limited spoken English but very helpful with google translate. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

房間舒適，空間很大，大廳還有烤棉花糖，很適合家人一起去放鬆渡假，泡湯池有半戶外，下雪泡湯很舒服。 餐點也很棒，晚餐早餐好吃。 喜歡小零食可以在其他地方先買好，附近店家比較早關門。
