Our room was spacious and well appointed, the staff were friendly and very accommodating, and the location was terrific. Beautiful and quaint Princeton, NJ's shopping and restaurants are only a short walk away, but the street it is on is quiet and tranquil. We had planned to have dinner at the restaurant the last night of our stay, but we had to leave early so we can't rate the food and service, but the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic night out. One small issue we had was that the room key cards frequently stopped working and we had to keep getting them replaced. Apart from that, the hotel is an old Victorian manor that has no elevator, and all of the rooms are one or more flights up. This is likely fine for most, but should be considered if one has mobility issues.

The charming inn offers small but comfortable rooms, a great bar where a basic continental breakfast is served, and a restaurant. We held a Sunday brunch there for 12 people. Unfortunately the service was exceedingly slow, but the food good. The dining rooms are very pleasant.

I was in town for a bar conference. Met the manager and spent some quality time talking with him. Food was great and the bar was friendly and well served. Very good place.

We had a very nice time as we always do, if we had to make any constructive comments they would revolve around size of room in comparison to the price. For almost $500 per night, there are very few places to place things in the room or bathroom for that matter - It would also be nice to have a coffee maker in the room for early morning offering - besides the back of the toilet, there is no place to put anything in the bathroom and toilet paper dispenser is basically installed on the floor? Obviously first world problems but room 205 at least is pretty small for a premium price

The Peacock Inn is a cozy, comfortable place to stay. Upon arrival no one was at the desk for about 5 minutes, and a phone number left there offered no answer. Finally someone arrived and helped me check in . The room was very comfortable. There IS some street noise, and there is no elevator. The parking behind the building is minimal and if the Inn were full there may not be a space. The breakfast (continental) had nice pastries, yogurt, instant oatmeal and granola with high end teas and coffee. The staff was helpful. There is an onsite restaurant that serves an afternoon tea and dinner but it is closed on Mondays.

The staff at the Peacock Inn are friendly and welcoming and seem happy to be working here. The hotel is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and has a restful ambience. I slept well, felling comfortable and safe. I enjoyed the fresh and healthy breakfast choices.

Was one of my favorite boutique hotels for many years, BUT certain aspects could use a facelift. Carpeting in room was a bit worn & stained. Because weather outside was bone chilling - bathroom was freezing and had no heat to speak of at all. Overhead heat lamps installed might solve the problem.

Refrigerator in room ran all night, noisy.. Step down into Bathroom unsafe. Bottle of Water in Room Had Mold growing in it. No Place to put things in Bathroom. Stayed in a lovely Hilton down the road next night for half the price and it was Perfect in all ways.

Pleasant stay at the Peacock Inn. Close to downtown, walkable. Room was small but clean and quiet. Nice shower and bed linens. Helpful staff. Breakfast was continental - not bad. Coffee was excellent. Free NYT & WSJ. Would recommend and stay here again. Thank you!

The room was rather small (to the point where I had to put my suitcase on the bed to open it, and my morning exercises were a bit cramped) but high ceilinged, quiet, and very well appointed. The shower was great, as were the soaps. The breakfast was quite nice, and there were complimentary copies of the NYT in the lobby.

Very good stay for me and my husband. This hotel has a lot of character because it is a historical building. The room was quite small (we had a regular queen room) but thoughtfully laid out. We also loved the area in which it is located. Everything downtown was walkable, which is what we wanted. One complaint - The continental breakfast was excellent but the coffee was not hot. I could have probably said something about this though. The staff is super attentive and helpful.

The Inn is beautiful--an antique house with a luxury renovation recent renovation. Service, furnishings, mattress, linens, complementary breakfast -- all excellent. Our one complaint was that the room we had was simply too small to be comfortable. To be fair, we did choose the more affordable room but the tiny size was out of sync with the Inn's luxe ambiance. Reco: Choose a larger room.

My husband and I were treated with a warm and welcoming smile by Michael at the front desk. Michael made our check-in informative and east. Our Room was splendid, well supplied with snacks and bar beverage selections, and impressive bath accessaries and warm thick bathrobes. My husband and I were treated with a warm and welcoming smile by Michael at the front desk. Michael made our check-in informative and east. Our Room was splendid, well supplied with snacks and bar beverage selections, and impressive bath accessaries and warm thick bathrobes. Very good stay for me and my husband. This hotel has a lot of character because it is a historical building. The room was quite small (we had a regular queen room) but thoughtfully laid out. We also loved the area in which it is located. Everything downtown was walkable, which is what we wanted. One complaint - The continental breakfast was excellent but the coffee was not hot. I could have probably said something about this though. The staff is super attentive and helpful.

This is the second time I’ve stayed there and this time I made a point to tell them way in advance that I needed a no feather room, yet when I arrived I still got a room full of feathers and had to wait until the housekeeper changed the pillows and comforter. They gave me 2 non-feather pillows but then put 2 feather pillows back on the bed. I just put those outside the room because I didn’t feel like dealing any more and it made me mad. I’m allergic to feathers and will be miserable if I sleep on them and can’t breathe. So I think that’s the last time I’ll stay there and look for another place to stay for our next visit to Princeton. It’s pretty there and very pleasant generally but for the price, this place needs to step it up.

The Peacock Inn is a cozy, comfortable place to stay. Upon arrival no one was at the desk for about 5 minutes, and a phone number left there offered no answer. Finally someone arrived and helped me check in . The room was very comfortable. There IS some street noise, and there is no elevator. The parking behind the building is minimal and if the Inn were full there may not be a space. The breakfast (continental) had nice pastries, yogurt, instant oatmeal and granola with high end teas and coffee. The staff was helpful. There is an onsite restaurant that serves an afternoon tea and dinner but it is closed on Mondays.

We had planned to have dinner at the restaurant the last night of our stay, but we had to leave early so we can't rate the food and service, but the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic night out. One small issue we had was that the room key cards frequently stopped working and we had to keep getting them replaced. Apart from that, the hotel is an old Victorian manor that has no elevator, and all of the rooms are one or more flights up. This is likely fine for most, but should be considered if one has mobility issues.

The charming inn offers small but comfortable rooms, a great bar where a basic continental breakfast is served, and a restaurant. We held a Sunday brunch there for 12 people. Unfortunately the service was exceedingly slow, but the food good. The dining rooms are very pleasant.

The room was rather small (to the point where I had to put my suitcase on the bed to open it, and my morning exercises were a bit cramped) but high ceilinged, quiet, and very well appointed. The shower was great, as were the soaps. The breakfast was quite nice, and there were complimentary copies of the NYT in the lobby.

We were happy with it, with the exception of the baked goods; those could definitely be improved.

This place is a gem– – a beautifully preserved building that dates back to the colonial era which nonetheless provides all modern conveniences. It’s only a stone’s throw from the center of town on a lovely leafy street. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We’re looking forward to our next visit. If you require an elevator, be warned – – this hotel does not have one. We did not mind bringing our bags up to our third-floor room, but that might be a problem for others.
