This is our 4th visit to the Secret Garden. The courtyard where you can eat breakfast is absolutely beautiful with all the flowers blooming. Breakfast was delicious with very fluffy croissants, fruit, quiche, fresh baked bread like pumpkin bread, and coffee and tea. The rooms are charming.

I loved this place! Wish I could’ve stayed for a week. Breakfast was served to my private patio, and it was delicious. The Jacuzzi hot tub on the patio was such a treat. I will definitely come back when I’m in Santa Barbara.

A beautiful property. Our room, Bobwhite, while small, was comfortable for the two of us. Breakfast in the garden was outstanding! Owner and staff did an excellent job. I would stay there again and recommend it.

Charming bed and breakfast. Owner was very welcoming and breakfast excellent. Our only complaint was a broken window shade which resulted in a warm room on a hot day. However, the air conditioning was able to control the temperature, once turned on.

Breakfasts are delicious, and location is very convienent to most of what Santa Barbara has to offer, a great and quiet walking neighborhood too. It is important to note there is a sweet cat named Peanut living there, but if you have allergies, be aware!

This is our 4th visit to the Secret Garden. The courtyard where you can eat breakfast is absolutely beautiful with all the flowers blooming. Breakfast was delicious with very fluffy croissants, fruit, quiche, fresh baked bread like pumpkin bread, and coffee and tea. The rooms are charming.

I loved this place! Wish I could’ve stayed for a week. Breakfast was served to my private patio, and it was delicious. The Jacuzzi hot tub on the patio was such a treat. I will definitely come back when I’m in Santa Barbara.

A beautiful property. Our room, Bobwhite, while small, was comfortable for the two of us. Breakfast in the garden was outstanding! Owner and staff did an excellent job. I would stay there again and recommend it.

If you’re looking for a quiet garden setting this is it. Centrally located but with a garden/yard that takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Loved walking the sidewalks through the gardens. Staff friendly and accommodating. Our cook/waitress served up a wonderful breakfast with quiches, breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruits, croissants with jams, juice and coffee in the courtyard every morning.

I wish I could give the Secret Garden Inn and Cottages a perfect 5-stars but check-in was a disaster. Check-in was to start at 3 pm, but when my wife and I got there just before 3 pm, no one was there to check us in until 3:20 pm. Then we discovered our room at the Inn was different than what we had reserved. The room itself was ok, just a bed, dresser and two chairs, pus bath. The breakfast was excellent, home-made quiches and croissants with jam, OJ, coffee, melon. So mixed review.

The hot, homemade breakfast was the highlight of our stay, as was the garden. The accommodations were cozy and quaint, complete with antique furnishings and some modern amenities like a small fridge. We would definitely stay there again.
