Very friendly and helpful. When I contacted them to say we would be arriving after the office was closed, she told me our room number and where to find the key. Parking was outside our room, and under cover. Bed was better than expected - slept all night. Enough bench space to make tea/coffee, small table in kitchen. Had to use bathroom sink to wash cups, but that was OK. Hot water in shower was almost instant. Close to downtown, brochures in room folder. Definitely recommend.

We have stayed at McNevin's Maryborough many times, especially during the times when the Music Conference was being held in the city. We knew it as a solid establishment that had seen the impact of much use. Not so now! The unit we were in overlooked the pool from a balcony and it had been renovated well. The bathroom was excellent and the new paint and the new curtains and the new furniture made it a new experience for us. As usual, the breakfast in 'The Glasshouse' was a delight and the staff also. With a grandson living nearby we may well be visiting this renewed inn again in the not to distant future.

Positive: It's not on a busy road so we could sleep at night without heavy traffic. Well presented and clean. Disappointing: We were there on a public holiday and in true Maryborough style, the restaurant and cafe' were closed.

A lovely motel. The room was clean and fresh. A very comfortable bed and nice pillows. The bathroom was also very clean and had the usual soap, body wash and shampoo/conditioner. I’d definitely go back and would highly recommend.

We have stayed in this property before and it has been good but unfortunately this time the room had a very strong musty odour. We were told this was caused by a leak in the bathroom. As the motel was completely booked, we had to stay in that room.

A very pleasant motel. Good facilities and excellent cleanliness. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I didn't eat at the restaurant, but the coffee shop / breakfast cafe was great. Very satisfactory overall.

Our stay at McNevins was great. The room was very large and perfectly clean. The bed was very comfortable. McNevins is quite centrally located with dinner and breakfast options on most days. The pool looked inviting even though the weather was not! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

The accommodation was excellent. The room was spacious and clean. The reception staff were very friendly and we had a wonderful stay. Most probably the best place to stay in Maryborough. The Restaurant was outstanding. Most delicious and restaurant staff member was fantastic and made us most welcome. Will be back.

Bed was very comfortable. There's a lot of road noise, for light-sleepers. Shower water pressure was low. Difficult to fill kettle using tap in basin. Would be good to have a small jug to fill the kettle with. Large room was clean. Staff were great.

Initially put into room 4, lovely smaller room with everything we required. Power went out a few times so management put us into room 46, which was larger and lovely. Verandah overlooking the pool. Absolutely lovely! We lost the key twice (found both times!) and the owner was very helpful with assistance. Would highly recommend staying here!

Second time staying here and still like it except that our towels were stolen from our patio by the pool and staff did not seem to bothered. Also had a lot of ants in our room and no spare towels in the cupboard as advised. Pool units need a bit of an upgrade like the other units.

A very pleasant motel. Good facilities and excellent cleanliness. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I didn't eat at the restaurant, but the coffee shop / breakfast cafe was great. Very satisfactory overall.

Positive: It's not on a busy road so we could sleep at night without heavy traffic. Well presented and clean. Disappointing: We were there on a public holiday and in true Maryborough style, the restaurant and cafe' were closed.

We had a lovely meal in Sails Restaurant on our second night at the motel. The wait staff member was delightful.

Good size comfortable rooms. Unfortunately the Restaurant was closed due to cheff quitting but the office recommended the pub accross the road and it was very good.

We were booked in while working in Hervey Bay. We stay here regularly. The staff always give us a call throughout the day of arrival to confirm. This did not happen, and so busy working we didn't even think about it. When we left the site in HB and tried to contact the hotel (10pm), they did not answer. They also did not answer the EMERGENCY mobile number that is displayed on the front door of reception. We still have not received a return phone call after several attempts made to contact them. Disgusted at the low level of customer service and will never book there again or recommend them to any traveller. We never received an email or message to say that we needed to contact them before 7pm. Not one bit of communication. We had to find alternative accommodation for the night as had travelled up from the Gold Coast leaving at 5am that morning and continuing driving was not an option. Can definitely recommend the Maryborough City Motel. The young lady there was so helpful, shower was piping hot and great water pressure. Doesn't look like much but everything clean and tidy and staffed to late hours. McNEVINS is somewhere I'd never refer to anyone to stay at in Maryborough.
