Breakfast each morning was great, we loved the latte machine! The parking was great. Our dog settled in nicely and even though it rained we had a lovely time!

Charming place for dog lovers in a great location in Newport. Short walk down to waterfront, a block from a large park, convenient to many mansions and other attractions. Each room is well equipped and decorated for both people and pups. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Off season rates are quite a bargain given excellent breakfast and no pet surcharges. Note that there are somewhat steep stairs, e.g., up to main entrance and down to breakfast area. Room 6 was large with separate living area that our dog loved. Street parking was available in front in December, but reserved parking spot is a block away.

Paws was an outstanding little inn. Dog friendly is an understatement, everything about the little b&b is centered around making your dog feel welcome - from in room bowls and beds to treats in the lobby. Even if you aren’t traveling with a dog, it’s an outstanding room in a location that’s walkable to all of Newport - all at a price that’s a fraction of the nearby hotels. Great find - we will be back!

We absolutely adored our stay. We got in a little late after traffic and the self check-in process was quick and convenient and we got right into our room. The room itself was incredibly comfortable and welcoming for us and our pup. We loved our stay and wished we had an extra day or two!

I loved the location and off street parking which wasn’t too far from the house. Rooms were clean, quiet and very comfortable. The instructions to get into the building and room were very clear. The housekeeping very friendly and attentive. My only complaint was the smell of the bleach in the room. Not sure if it was in the linens or bathroom. I’m very smell sensitive so this was a distraction.

we had a decent stay. we stayed in room 1 on the first floor right next to the lobby. i wouldn’t recommend this. people were constantly going up and down the stairs above us and we were right next to the ice machine. the first morning of our stay at 7:30, someone kept repeatedly tapping on our door. the window in our bathroom’s glass was cracked. none of the windows had screens and the Unit in the room was only set to heat so we had to open a screen less window to cool it down. we brought our dog and there were plenty of fields in the area to take her to go potty. given it being st patrick’s day weekend, most rooms brought their dogs which i loved. the room above us’s dog was barking incessantly and when they finally checked out on our second morning, house keeping was in their room before 9 vacuuming, banging around and moving what seemed like furniture. wasn’t super relaxing when we were in our room. the walls are thin so you could hear every little noise. i enjoyed getting a code to our room versus a keycard. breakfast both mornings were very good and had good options. the sun deck was small but also very cute. i think i would’ve enjoyed my stay more not on a holiday weekend, or if people prepared their dogs more to be in a strange place. you could tell many were distraught and no owners seemed to be contacted by the lobby to check on them to calm them down.

Paws on Pelham was an absolutely wonderful place. They were so dog friendly, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and everything was decorated beautifully with such a fun dog theme. It’s just a few minute walk from lots of shopping and restaurants. An intrepid person could even walk to Easton beach if they really wanted to. They have a large, safe parking lot (even though we surprising didn’t have much trouble finding parking). Our room was spacious and clean. It was so sunny and bright and everything felt new. My only minor complaint is that the tv in the bedroom was not a smart TV while the tv in the sitting room was. As well, the walls/floors are fairly thing so you can hear other guests in their rooms or walking around. Most importantly though, my dogs loved. And if they love it, then I love it.

Very friendly welcome and we appreciated being given The option to check in early on such a rainy day. Loved our room. Great roof top deck with a view of water!!! Outstanding coffee maker with so many options downstairs! Loved our stay!

Found this hotel on a whim and it was absolutely perfect for us and our 2 small dogs! So many cute room options, free breakfast every morning, extremely clean and easy to check in and out, free parking and in walking distance to Bowen’s warf and so many other places. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Paws on Pelham is PERFECT! From the initial phone/text contact to the very last Thank Yous & Goodbye, this Inn & staff are THE BEST! The Inn was immaculate, the rooms very comfortable, the breakfast delicious & Kathy & her staff WONDERFUL beyond words. We would definitely stay here again & highly recommend the Inn to any dog owner! “MOLLY” loved it too!!

We loved our stay at Paws on Pelham. The building was well maintained and was located in a beautiful neighborhood that was excellent for walks around the area. The rooms were sparkling clean and well appointed. Lisa, who checked us in, was very friendly and offered us a lot of helpful information about the area. We also really loved the wonderful full breakfast the morning we checked. We couldn't have been happier with the accommodation!

It’s great that they cater to dog owners. However, the rooms are small and it’s an old house so you hear everything. I’m not sure we would choose this option for our next visit.

Quick weekend stay in Newport with the pups. Great location and overall experience. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone traveling with pets. One complaint would be that you can hear any movement in the rooms above you. We had someone who seemed to be doing laps in their room at 3am, so they was a bit frustrating.

We loved Paws on Pelham! The Inn was very clean, updated, many amenities and was very catering to our dog! Our room was very sunny and bright, window glass was very clean also! Was a very nice touch that a complimentary breakfast was served. Our only complaint is that the mattress was very uncomfortable, was noisy and we felt the springs.

Paws on Pelham was such a beautiful inn to stay at! The room was very nice, clean, and had up to date finishes. It was a short walk to downtown, which was very convenient. I would highly recommend this inn.

There were no thermostats in the rooms on the third floor. A mini fridge in the room would be a plus. There was a small fridge in the reception area that was available to all guests to use.

Paws on Pelham was an absolutely wonderful place. They were so dog friendly, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and everything was decorated beautifully with such a fun dog theme. It’s just a few minute walk from lots of shopping and restaurants. An intrepid person could even walk to Easton beach if they really wanted to. They have a large, safe parking lot (even though we surprising didn’t have much trouble finding parking). Our room was spacious and clean. It was so sunny and bright and everything felt new. My only minor complaint is that the tv in the bedroom was not a smart TV while the tv in the sitting room was. Charming place with lots of amenities, great location and good free breakfast. Extremely clean. My only minor complaints are a slow Wi-Fi signal in room #4 and noise from footsteps & paw steps in the room above. I could actually hear them talking. This is likely due to the lack of carpeting to be dog friendly, so I'm not sure what could be done about it.

My girlfriends and I had a 2 night, 3 day stay at Pelham. We were hoping to love it more. Although the outside grounds and property were stunning, the staff & service were very disappointing, (though the woman at check in with a bun and glasses was OUTSTANDING and so accommodating) We had no turn down for our room even though we contacted the innkeeper twice, and left the sign for service as directed. We recieved 2 towels for 4 people in the room, had to request for garbage to be taken, and no beds were made for us either day. We never recieved an apology, it was more of an inconvenience to them to have to even bring us extra stuff. On top of that, we were woken up to a fire alarm at 7am our first night staying over, and the staff acted as if it wasn’t a big deal. No apology, or sincerity. We were concerned about fire alarm going off again as the breaker kept beeping/buzzing with alarm that said heat trouble and we were told this was normal. You guys can add whatever else. But that’s something along the lines of what I would say.

What a wonderful place! Antonio & Lisa were very gracious, informative, and friendly at our check-in. The room was large and very clean; you would never know they specialize in accepting pets to stay there. The llocation was great for exploring downtown Newport. I highly recommend a stay there!

Charming place for dog lovers in a great location in Newport. Short walk down to waterfront, a block from a large park, convenient to many mansions and other attractions. Each room is well equipped and decorated for both people and pups. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Off season rates are quite a bargain given excellent breakfast and no pet surcharges. Note that there are somewhat steep stairs, e.g., up to main entrance and down to breakfast area. Room 6 was large with separate living area that our dog loved. Street parking was available in front in December, but reserved parking spot is a block away.

What a special place to stay while in Newport! We didn’t bring our dog but we should have. Paws is located at the perfect spot, 5-7 minute walk to all the wharfs. Only about a mile to the cliff walk. The rooms were adorable and clean and the staff were lovely and very helpful. We can’t wait to come back with our dog Leonard.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paws on Pelham. While it is very pet friendly and pet-themed, we did not have a pet with us but it was fun seeing the other four-legged visitors. Our room was well adorned and comfortable. Shower pressure not great but that is probably my only complaint. Location is super convenient to the water front area and to the Touro Synagogue. Parking was easy and free and located about a one or two minute walk up the street. Breakfast was good too. Not many options but the hot breakfast sandwich freshly prepared each morning was a tasty and filling way to start the day.

We had a wonderful time at Paws on Pelham! It was nice to get a text from the staff and let me know the room was ready. The room was clean and perfect for our one night stay. The breakfast has been the best I’ve ever had at a hotel with free breakfast. I would recommend this to all of my friends.

Paws on Pelham was great, the communication from the innkeeper (Tonie) was really nice. We were a little late getting in, so she gave us codes and instructions to get in. Everything was extremely clean. Our room was exactly what we were looking for, and the location is great, easily walkable to everything you want to do in Newport. Parking is at the Elks Lodge just up the street, but it's no more than a 1 min walk. We hope to come back again, with our dog next time!
