The check in was pleasant, with keys quickly served and a nice gift shop in the lobby. The room was clean and everything looked recent or new. The location is right next to a beautiful piece of coast.

Well maintained hotel. Parking directly in front of the room. Spectacular oceanfront views with crashing waves onto the rocks. Long meandering pathway to walk along.Room was spacious; king bed comfy; pet friendly- they provide you with a bag 4Dogs containing two sheets and towels. Tastefully decorated, engineered wood floors look really nice. Small little window to open up so you can hear the waves at night without getting cold.

This was such a cute motel with a great gift shop and really friendly staff. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Don't let the 2 star rating fool you. This is a motel not a hotel and I give it 5 stars.

Clean comfortable updated room. The ocean view was amazing! Nice walkway at the back of the hotel that runs along the ocean and a rocky area with paths for the more adventurous. Nice pet station with bags and a wooded trail for the dogs to walk on. Our kids loved the DVD rentals and free hot chocolate in the lobby. The lobby was stocked with lots of good food and snack options along with souvenirs. We enjoyed our stay.

The room smelled, the sheets were of poor quality, and especially considering the price was a little more than The Adobe (where I have also stayed), I am baffled by the glowing reviews I read, only reason I gave it a go. Perhaps the front rooms facing the ocean are the reason for reviews, but that doesn't excuse the low quality of all the other rooms unless the cost is extremely low.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay except room was not freshened up (clean cups, towels, new coffee) as a service of hospitality when we stayed more than one night but we were charged the same as if we would have booked a clean room the second night.

This place has incredible Speck spectacular views and has a nice walking path to town. The only feedback is that the shower is not very hot and doesn't have hardly any water pressure. So when I drew a bath it had both. So I took baths instead of showers. The carpeting needs to be replaced with some kind of hardwood floor, they look and feel old and dirty and are stained.

The proximity to the ocean waves and the places to sit and watch them are excellent! The grounds are lovely, and the rooms are clean. Every person working there was friendly and helpful. The shops have a nice variety of goods, and good hours of being open. I recommend the Fireside Motel.

Very comfortable older lodge right on the ocean with incredible crashing waves right outside our balcony. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Great walking trail along the ocean right outside our door. My only complaint is the room had an odor like a wet dog had stayed there, which is probably true since they allow dogs. They need to deodorize the rooms or have some pet-free rooms.

Room was very clean and reasonably updated (love that it was carpet-free). Perfect location steps from the ocean with a trail going north and south along the water and very walkable to town. Very nice and helpful staff. We would stay again.

This is our second time staying here this year. We love this place. The rooms are clean and spacious and comfortable. We do wish the tvs were larger. When it's a rainy, chilly night, it's nice to watch a movie in bed on a decent sized tv.

Fantastic view of the ocean. The neighboring property leaves lights on facing the ocean so we were able to enjoy the view past midnight. The room was nice with plenty of room

The location and view of the ocean was spectacular, the proximity to the 804 trail was great. The beds were comfortable. Only negative in the room was the uneven floors, including a significant dip right in front of the toilet, appeared to be the result of a long-term toilet leak with probably rotten wood under the floor. Also, I\'m not a fan of the "kindergarten toilet". Not sure the reason for tiny toilets, but at a little under 5\'3", the seat hit me about mid-calf, making using it, with my arthritis and bad knees a challenge. It would have helped to have a grab-bar on the wall next to it

Location!! Rock cliffs, seals, sea lions, whales spotted…all from the balcony of our room. The room was lovely, nice fireplace and a cozy place to sit and play cards while gazing out the window.

Really cool in room amenities with a kitchenette. Beautiful surrounding area, and convenient to walking path, hiking trails, drive to good restaurants and stores.

View of the ocean in a room with high ceilings so it made the view more spectacular. Stairs can be a problem when you get older but we did okay going up and down them.

Friendly check in and clean room but the upstairs people were walking around for quite awhile and talking loudly and kept us awake way too late. The floors are very creaky and it was frustrating that we couldn’t sleep. Good location for a road trip on the coastline.

I loved the very friendly and helpful staff, the amenities, like DVDs to borrow, microwave and fridge, and the convenience of a safe walking path to town. The room was just what I needed and the hotel was close to town but not so close that parking was ever an issue.

We had a nice time at the Fireside and the location is perfect. The room is updated and includes a coffee maker, pet covers for the bed, outdoor chairs etc. The view from the room is spectacular and my pup loved it. We had a great time chatting with other guests as well. The only unpleasant moment was the woman who checked us in, who gave us more of a lecture than a welcome. I imagine working at a hotel desk can be very challenging, but I avoided the lobby/gift shop area until the next day. The person who checked us out was warm and kind. Not a big deal but given the price I was expecting a bit more hospitality upon arrival. Otherwise we enjoyed it!

I was so happy I stayed at the Fireside and I will definitely do so again. My room was no-frills, but super clean, quiet, and comfortable. I had a lovely walk to town for dinner along the shoreline. What a beautiful location! Highly recommended.

My only complaint is the room had an odor like a wet dog had stayed there, which is probably true since they allow dogs. They need to deodorize the rooms or have some pet-free rooms.

Very comfortable older lodge right on the ocean with incredible crashing waves right outside our balcony. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Great walking trail along the ocean right outside our door. Very nice rooms with comfortable beds. Hotel is overlooking ocean with a beautiful trail with overlook seating. The office has a gift shop with wonderful gifts as well as necessities. Not walking distance to town but a couple minute drive. Beautiful area!!

I was so happy I stayed at the Fireside and I will definitely do so again. My room was no-frills, but super clean, quiet, and comfortable. I had a lovely walk to town for dinner along the shoreline. What a beautiful location! Highly recommended.

Room was very clean and reasonably updated (love that it was carpet-free). Perfect location steps from the ocean with a trail going north and south along the water and very walkable to town. Very nice and helpful staff. We would stay again.

Clean comfortable updated room. The ocean view was amazing! Nice walkway at the back of the hotel that runs along the ocean and a rocky area with paths for the more adventurous. Nice pet station with bags and a wooded trail for the dogs to walk on. Our kids loved the DVD rentals and free hot chocolate in the lobby. The lobby was stocked with lots of good food and snack options along with souvenirs. We enjoyed our stay.

Let's be clear, this place is all about the fantastic view of the ocean. The motel is nice, clean and convenient to the main road and nearby Yachats town. The staff was very friendly at check-in and they have a gift shop that includes some food items. The room was nice, but pretty basic. Our room looked straight at the ocean and there was a small balcony to sit on, which we did in the evening and morning. They are not private--each room is right next to each other. I got to meet my neighbors and their lively dog. There is a nice path along the upper shore (it's kind of rocky), so expect to see a lot of walkers and dogs. It goes about a half mile in either direction, with great views of the shoreline.

I’m not a motel person but had a great experience. The best surprise was finding that even though I wasn’t able to book an ocean front room, the non-ocean front ones still have a beautiful view of the ocean! You can still see it from the window, you’re just not exactly in front of it. Also best, was the cleanliness— no ick factor at all. It was a very comfortable stay and traveling solo always felt safe. The general crowd/guests were pleasant, lots of couples of all ages and dogs. (I love dogs, so enjoyed seeing so many cuties). I met others who always book here when they visit Yachats so that says a lot. Trolley stop to the town center and Cape Perpetua also just next door at Overleaf. Very convenient. Enjoyed staying at Fireside!

Hôtel très bien situé, chambre avec vue mer : hypnotique !! Du coucher du soleil au lever du soleil le spectacle était continu ! Chambre équipée d’une cheminée au gaz très agréable. Le reste des équipement est un petit peu daté, tout comme la salle de bain. Mais ça fait aussi le charme d’un motel. Un canapé plus confortable et un agencement plus « cocooning » serait simple à mettre en place et changerait l’atmosphère. Dommage pas de petit déjeuner disponible sur place…
