While the room offered a great view, the overall condition did not meet expectations based on the photos, which were somewhat misleading. The toilet seat was worn, the baseboard heater was rusted, and chairs were placed directly against it—potentially as a way to hide the damage—which raised safety concerns. We did not have to leave the building to get to the reception, restaurant, swimming pool, and gym. We did not like that our room did not have a dining table. It only had a computer desk and a tiny stand, big enough to put only a couple of glasses and a bottle of wine on it.

Pros: ocean views, patios, decent beds, decent shower, kitchenette with decent-sized mini fridge that even had a proper freezer. The location is great, with lots of nice beachside areas to explore. There is a decent pool and hot-tub and even a little wading pool for small kids. There is on-site coin-op washing machines and free dryers. So-so: restaurant had average food at slightly above average prices. Nothing to write home about. Mostly pre-frozen stuff. Not much seemed to be house made. But it did have friendly service, nice atmosphere, and great ocean views. Cons: our room was in the building adjacent to the main one. I guess this was the pet-friendly area. The hallway reeked of urine, very badly. That carpet in the hallway has got to go! And at this point, the sub-floor will need replacing too. There was significant black mold in the bathroom ceiling. Not a small amount—I’m sure the cleaning staff know it’s there and aren’t doing anything about it. In general, the place is in disrepair. Needs paint, carpentry, etc. Hair dryer in bathroom did not work. All in all, I wouldn’t stay here again. The place needs some TLC. Looks like they ran out of money updating the furniture and countertops and failed to repair a lot of basic infrastructure. The awful smell of urine in the hall and the black mold in the bathroom were dealbreakers for me.

Exceptional sauna, good jim and pool. Quite area around. Good trails to hike on shoreline. Good views from restaurant and area anove. Nice that resort has pool table.. To improve add sand clock in sauna. May be convert one of the rooms into meeting/ view room with more games and for enjoing beatiful view. Awesome addition could be a vieweing platform on the roof. It lloks like one roof area will be or beeing worked on may be great opportunity to invest into extra viewg area.

The location of the property to the shore, the view of the ocean from the balcony of the room and from the restaurant were my favorite part of staying here. The room was in need of updating and repair, but we slept comfortably. The trail along the water goes for quite a ways and was beautiful and easy to get to. I had the best tasting breakfast of all my vacation at this restaurant and the staff were so engaging. The gym equipment was in great shape and there was much to choose from. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well, but again, saw updates and repairs needed. None the less, I would definitely stay here again.

Mainly went to use the Pool and Hot Tub for therapeutic reasons. Felt weird film on my skin after day1. Same, maybe worse on 2nd day. 3rd day went down to use the Hot Tub and it was closed. Asked why the pool was closed and you told us it was closed due to chemical problems...I am still having stinging issues on my back and legs. I called you to and asked if your pool was up. Kinda feel disrespected you telling me they were up and open knowing I was coming from portland. Probably gonna find another place to stay so I don't keep getting chemical burn.

We enjoyed our stay at Adobe very much. We found the accommodations to be quite nice and a relaxed atmosphere. The views are amazing and the location perfect to walk into town of Yachats and a short drive to Florence. The food was very good but it is a slower paced restaurant so don’t go if in a hurry. The views from the dining area are beautiful. We used the pool and spa and found that even though it’s older it was very clean and plenty of towels. The bar has an everyday happy hour 3-5 and the staff was helpful. I would caution anyone with children to be careful of the 804 trail area as there are no guardrails. We would book a stay here again when visiting the area.

The location is great, but the room was in need of some detailed cleaning. The carpets were stained and there was a lot of dirt and buildup along the walls. The antislip mat in the bathroom looked very old and not very clean. The staff were great though!

This hotel is in a beautiful small town, but needs updates desperately. Everything was dirty, upholstery stained, screens missing from windows, lobby dingy. It looked so much better on the website pictures- do not believe them!! The people were kind.

Now it looks like someone gave up halfway through a demolition. Tiny holes in the walls, patches over bigger ones, chipped doors, peeling trim — every surface is damaged. It’s not “vintage,” it’s just neglected. Charging $300 a night for this? Bold. Almost admirable, if it weren’t so insulting. This isn’t “faded charm.” It’s a building in crisis. It was our wedding anniversary and decided to do a last minute trip to the beach. We chose the Adobe bc we had been tired of really dirty and run down hotels. We got into our room and it had a stale smoke smell mixed with bleach. The curtains were hanging funny, the walls were scratched, the chairs were stained from many visitors before us and the room in general looked unkept! I used a towel to sit on the chairs bc it was very gross. We are really disappointed with our stay and the quality of the room. We should’ve had a fireplace according the look of the room online, but we were tired by the time we arrived late on Friday night. We drove 5 hours to get here from central Oregon and were Very disappointed in the room. Our mini-vacay started out undesirable after we saw and smelled our room. We werent going to say anything bc we were so tired after driving for so long and didn’t want to deal with the hassle. Customer Service and food were great!

We drove 5 hours to get here from central Oregon and were Very disappointed in the room. Our mini-vacay started out undesirable after we saw and smelled our room. We werent going to say anything bc we were so tired after driving for so long and didn’t want to deal with the hassle. Customer Service and food were great!

The restaurant was terrible, there were ants in our room and dead ants in the fridge. Missing lightbulb in bathroom and wires coming out from the wall. The tube of lotion had a broken lid. The door to the balcony was rusted. Staff at check in desk when I left could have cared less. The pet “wing” needs massive update. The room was a great size though.

Clean, spacious room with comfortable beds. My only complaint about this room was that it didn’t have air conditioning. It was a cool night, so this wouldn’t have been a problem, except that it was raining so I had to keep the windows closed.

The front desk staff is very nice and friendly. The views are amazing. Our 3rd floor room was not in good shape at all. Stained upholstery on the chairs, paint on bathroom door lifting off. It wasn't dirty but just worn out. Even the carpet wasn't installed properly. It just looked really bad. Walls were dented and had marks all over. It was quiet and the view was nice. Just don't expect much else.

We stayed here 3-4 years ago and it was awesome, so we stayed again the next year. They were going thru an owner change and the rooms were torn up, dirty, bugs coming out of holes in the wall, etc. We decided to give it another try because we love the location and it had been 2 years. The lobby is beautiful, and they have fixed most of the issues, but not all. There was no screen on our window, so when we opened it to hear the ocean, the bugs, etc, could fly right in. The beds were uncomfortable. The TV had EXTREMELY LIMITED channels, Netflix was offered, but it didn't work. If it's a stormy day, you need good TV options. Their restaurant used to be top quality, specifically the chowder, but now it's runny, and my shrimp/grits appetizer was SWIMMING in grease. Inedible. They need a new chef if they are charging $30-$40/meal. Won't be back. So sad because they used to be great. The best part of the stay was the staff, who are very helpful and friendly.

The Adobe Resort has become a tried and true favorite for a quiet coastal experience. The last time we stayed here was about 4 years ago and we had a wonderful time then. 4 years later, it was an even better experience. I highly recommend booking far enough in advance that you get first pick of the type of room you’d like. We chose the King room with Coastal View and Jetted Tub. The size of the room was great, and the jetted tub looked out over the coast line, with large bay windows that offered a wonderful breeze and the sounds of the ocean all night. Internet access is OK (not great but OK). Had to rearrange the furniture in my room to be useful (I don't know if the staff moved a table or someone in the room previously to me but the bedside table and another table were misplaced - I fixed that. I wanted to stay an extra night and the staff were helpful but it was OUTRAGEOUS even with a discount for one night of that room. The outside needs a bit of a fix up. And their driveway in is FULL of HUGE potholes that need fixing. Their parking lot is taken up by some kind of containers (about 3-4 of them) which also limits the parking when they are full. They need some work for the amount they are charging. It is getting to the point where only the wealthy can travel anymore. And that is just wrong. This place isn't THAT much nicer than other places that charge way less. The staff were nice, the meals OK but a bit overpriced. It's a hotel/resort so that is unfortunate but typical of those. Menus were limited (most restaurants are doing that these days). They need more luggage carts. Hard to find one when you need one. Has many conveniences and a well stocked fitness room which I did not try (went hiking instead) but could see into it and am not sure everything worked. It was OK but overpriced compared to similar places nearby. But that is everything these days I would give it a 3.5-4.

I don’t like the parking situation, the room looked onto the parking lot, the toilet paper holder broken, noisy indoor corridors, had to call to get tv to work, no place for wet wash cloth in vanity area, nowhere to hang clothes in shower room, nowhere to put toiletries in bath tub, didn’t know how dual shower head worked. Generally older property, with wear and tear.

We had a very nice relaxing family trip. The Adobe was wonderful. We stayed in the deluxe family suite, it was huge and had every thing we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and dishes. The large family dinning table made it special because we were able to have a puzzle going and still have lots a room for or meals. We would recommend The Adobe for anyone looking to spend time in Yachts on a large family vacation. My grandson loved the kiddy pool🙂

Service by Adobe Resort above and beyond the call of duty. A++ for those people. For some reason, the customer in the adjacent room hung their curtains outside the window on a very windy stormy night. The wind repeatedly slapped the curtains against our window, keeping me away from 2:00 AM till 4:00 AM, I responded to an earlier text from the staff asking how our stay was going by mentioning this situation--fully expecting a response and support at the earliest the following morning. Within 15 minutes, however, a staff member responded and attempted to call the customer. At 4:00 AM they knocked on the customer's door to remedy the issue.

The front desk was very nice. The room was also very nice. The pool smelled of chemicals so strongly. The waitstaff in both restaurant and dining area took a very long time to acknowledge us. They were not busy. They said my friend couldn’t have her water cup and they could “hold it for her in the back” she decided to just take it back up to our room on the third floor- the waiter made a face and never came back to the table once we sat back down. When leaving we wanted to get a coffee to go- the bartender/waiter said they don’t really do that unless we order food to go with it.. we just walked out. They lost a sale because we didn’t buy food with it. Was just an odd experience that kind ruined it for us.

Our stay had a rocky start. We drove about 5 hours to get to Yachats, and arrived at 4:45pm. We were tired, and looking forward to checking in and decompressing. The staff member at the counter told us our room wasn't ready (check in time I should add is listed everywhere as 4:00pm). She didn't give a lot of information or any sort of apologies, and when we asked when it would be ready, she seemed unsure of how to respond or proceed. Perhaps she was new? After scrambling and asking another employee who seemed equally unsure, she said, "Well I can check you in now, and do everything except give you your keys?" I verified that check in time was 4:00pm, so I pulled a little "Karen" and asked if we got some sort of discount for having to wait. She asked another employee, and they told us no because check in just "starts" at 4:00pm which doesn't make any sense to me, but I dropped it. I really would've at least liked a phone call that our room wouldn't be ready until later; we could have taken a break on the drive down if that were the case. We got dinner in town and our room was ready when we returned. The front desk gave us keys, but neglected to tell us anything else about the property (such as amenities/pool hours/etc) and also did not tell us our room number. We got one of the cabin suites, so we did a 50/50 guess on which one was ours and we were correct :) Running out of room here, but the dishwasher was moldy when we got in. Space was generously sized.

Beautiful view from our balcony and the walk along the coast was awesome. Fell asleep listening to the sounds of the waves. The bed was great and the view from the dining room cannot be beat. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

No AC, has a heater. We slept with the balcony door open all night and the room got chilly but we enjoyed it a lot. Nice view of the ocean and theres a path to walk along the ocean. Very nice affordable stay amd Yachats has a lot of really cute shops and restaurants to enjoy yourself at.

The location of the Adobe Resort cannot be surpassed for its beauty. Our room on the first floor was only about 50 ft from the ocean. The view outside our sliding glass door and large window was incredible! Rock formations in the surf created a never ending display of huge dancing waves. Our room was a spacious 650 sq ft and included a king sized bed plus a wonderfully deep, delightful jetted tub. My husband and I definitely recommend the Adobe Resort and cannot wait for many return visits!

Great view. The food was not good. I had the sole dinner. The asparagus was stringy and the sole was so thin and over cooked. Could not tell it was fish because it was so crispy all the way through.

Pros: ocean views, patios, decent beds, decent shower, kitchenette with decent-sized mini fridge that even had a proper freezer. The location is great, with lots of nice beachside areas to explore. There is a decent pool and hot-tub and even a little wading pool for small kids. There is on-site coin-op washing machines and free dryers. So-so: restaurant had average food at slightly above average prices. Nothing to write home about. Mostly pre-frozen stuff. Not much seemed to be house made. But it did have friendly service, nice atmosphere, and great ocean views. Cons: our room was in the building adjacent to the main one. I guess this was the pet-friendly area. The hallway reeked of urine, very badly. That carpet in the hallway has got to go! And at this point, the sub-floor will need replacing too. There was significant black mold in the bathroom ceiling. Not a small amount—I’m sure the cleaning staff know it’s there and aren’t doing anything about it. In general, the place is in disrepair. Needs paint, carpentry, etc. Hair dryer in bathroom did not work. All in all, I wouldn’t stay here again. The place needs some TLC. Looks like they ran out of money updating the furniture and countertops and failed to repair a lot of basic infrastructure. The awful smell of urine in the hall and the black mold in the bathroom were dealbreakers for me.

Looks like they ran out of money updating the furniture and countertops and failed to repair a lot of basic infrastructure. The awful smell of urine in the hall and the black mold in the bathroom were dealbreakers for me.

The only issue we had was the soundproofing of the room; particularly hallway noise. View was amazing, food was great. Service staff was 5*.

Beautiful views! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. My only bad thing to say is the price for the food. It an expensive stay but the food made it even more expensive. I wish they would have provided breakfast free of charge. Over all 4.5

Best: great location, good price and friendly staff. Could be better: TV did not work, not enough bath towels, Ice machine so broke not even plugged in and no sign. Probably dead longer than Lincoln. Food over priced. My wife’s chicken was killed twice. But again if you don’t mind a few room amenities missing and plan on eating in town would recommend it. Room cost was reasonable and right on the ocean. Get a balcony. And they were very willing to get you anything you needed but who goes there to watch TV. Ice would be nice though.

Beautiful location, comfortable bed and helpful staff. The only drawback was the patio door was really hard to slide open. I’m fairly strong and could only move it an inch or so. Sadly, we didn’t get to enjoy the balcony because of this. Everything else was fantastic.

Check in staff were not very helpful Rooms dreadful - old, curtains hanging off, rusty old fan in room as no a/c. BUT the restaurant was incredible we were dubious as the hotel rooms were so bad but after a long day driving we sampled the food which was exceloebt as were the staff in the restaurant & bar, it was as if it was totally separate business - would never stay at this hotel again but highly recommend eating there if in the area

Our room in the ":addition" on the north end of the property was one of the most stark, under-furnished rooms I have ever been in: it had a bed and three kitchen-type chairs in.a large, empty space with hard floors. There was not where else to sit, no table to sit at, and very worn "desk" furniture. The walls were bare, the bathroom oddly laid out and worn. Whatever heating system it originally had was broken and they are using space heaters which are not very safe. It had a telephone which was useless because it had no plug. The hallway to the room felt like a barracks entrance - worn outdoor carpeting, a deteriorating ramp up to the first floor. It's unfortunate because the room had a nice view of the ocean (only partially blocked). Fortunately, the bed was adequate. The location on the water and adjacent to a wonderful bluff-path is great - they just need to invest a little to make it ok. I can't recommend the place and will not stay there again,.
