The room was fair value for money but very noisy music from the bar and lots of banging noises all evening til about 1am and again heard banging from about 5am..it was a Wednesday. Staff helpful. Pool not warm and cant be used after dusk.

Quirky hotel with lots of appeal, eclectic mix of styles which definitely works. Loved the tented area with lots of seating & heaters, great Moroccan feel. We are in the Thai restaurant & the food was delicious with great service. Our room was very dusty and dark & the lights seem to be all or nothing but we loved our stay & would love to stay again.

Room was clean and prepared for us. Much smaller than it looks in the photos on the website. Comfy bed. Really nice vibe in the bar. Unfortunately we didn’t know that the pool and jacuzzi area wasn’t open and that was something we were really looking forward to. I think if I’d have known I may have booked somewhere else. So disappointing.

Overpriced . Food in Tai restaurant was poor bad service and very overpriced . Pool was freezing and jacuzzi didn’t work. All the buttons were broken.I wouldn’t recommend it I’m Afraid

The staff was unhelpful and the breakfast was very limited and no hot cooked breakfast was included. Booked to use the swimming pool snd jacuzi but they were both unheated so we can’t use them which was huge disappointment for us.

The property is nice , the restaurant and the room look amazing . But there are some small things that could be improved: “ no changing room or toilets at the swimming pool, you have to walk to the restaurant and go down the stairs to change in your swimming suit, as the rooms are outside the spa zone at a walking distance “ , the water in the jacuzzi was freezing even if outside was 32’ Celsius . In the room would have been nice a mini bar / mini fridge as the water was boiling. They gave as a bucket with ice but still . We also paid twice the late check out fee ( £25 until 1pm and another £25 until 1:40pm , so basically the second was for another 40 minutes ) . Overall it looks fantastic and it deserves 4 stars

Parking was difficult with the Xmas market event, but the room was quirky and comfortable (although it was across a main road from the hotel building). Advertised as having a pool, which is outdoors and way too cold to consider using. But our main complaint was the lack of tea/coffee making facilities given the price we paid for the room.

It had good service. Everything was either being built or un poor used condition. Rooms were dark and cluttered. There were zero amneties. The spa is not a Spa, it is annoutdoor unheated cold pool with and attached jacuzzu section, which is also unheated and cold. That is not a spa. The water looksnok, but loads of green vegitation on the pools rims which are set stones. The rooms are hust very used and worn out. Ruined the day, as we thought it was a spa hotel for that price. The hotel itself is a few rooms like cabins and you have to walk in the street to get to it. No breakfast with the rooms, a massive rip-off for £230. Also wouldn't call it a hotel. You can get so much more for less cost at any other hotel.

Plwasant stay, found the layout a bit odd as we stayed accross the road from the rest of the hotel, room wasnt particularly clean and was very dark, although we understand thats the theme, it made it quite difficult getting ready (not much light to do make up etc) and was worried if we lost aomethinf wed never find it again in the dark! I dont think it was great value for money but one real positive was the staff were amazinf so friendly and helpful

The stay was a shambles from start to finish. We arrived to a dirty room with marks and the bed and rose petals on the floor from the previous occupants. We notified reception immediately who advised while we were out at dinner they would have the room cleaned, which they did and offered a late check out as an apology which we accepted only to be charged for the late check out when we left. Then for dinner I have never been so insulted in my entire adult life with what you thought was acceptable to be served as a £40 steak which the table next to us also commented on that you should be ashamed of your self’s for thinking it is acceptable to be serving that I will attach a photo I will also be posting the pictures of the dirty room and the food on my trip advisor review. Wasn’t anything special, the room was particularly dated. Don’t think I got my moneys worth, it felt dirty. The rooms were extremely dark, but also dusty. Wouldn’t come back and wouldn’t recommend

Arrived at the property at the check in time room was still not ready. Got taken to our room found dirty clothes, bed was rock hard and the food was cold.

The room was amazing and far bigger than it appeared in the photo. Very unique place to stay with over the top flamboyant décor both in the rooms and throughout the hotel. The staff could not have been more attentive! Very friendly and professional. When we went to sit by the pool they asked if we wanted the overhead heater on. We said we were ok for now but might need it after using the pool so she waited till we were in the pool then turned it on so it was warm when we got out. Drink prices are crazy! We ordered a vodka and coke and a mocktail which came to £30! This includes a 13.5% service charge which is automatically added to every bill. We loved the room (Room 6) which was very spacious with a huge wet room including a large shower head. The bath is huge yet fills up very quickly from the hole in the ceiling. The water flow is very fast yet smooth so no splashes! Very comfy, large bed. The main negative was the thick layer of dust on the headboard of the bed. This had definitely not been dusted for weeks! How this had been missed is beyond me! I also found some paper in the pocket of my toweling robe suggesting the robes had also not been washed since the last guests which is pretty shocking! Also the shampoo in the shower was empty. The rest of the room was very clean but these few bit really let the standard down. I will be feeding back those few negatives but we would definitely stay there again since it was otherwise a relaxing and memorable stay!

The place as a whole looks nice but the rooms need a bit of a refurb. The copper bath in the room needed re coating, the bath tap was leaking and the water was running all over the floor from underneath the bath. Soaked our bags. Bed surround had all limescale from the leaking tap. Musky damp smell in room. Found someone’s dirty socks behind the cushions on the sofa which shows not cleaned properly. There’s no safe in the room to lock valuables. We ordered breakfast only to find that toast is not included in the price of a full English. Such a shame, as it looks like a lovely place but needs some TLC. Seems to be run by youngsters and their attitude come across as a bit rude. As we went to check in, we went through the wrong door and were rudely told to go next door. Got to the correct door only to find we were standing behind a curtain and were called to come through. Check in was quick. Taken to our room but the explanation of amenities in the room was a bit rushed. It’s well overpriced for what you actually get. The food was a bit burnt and staff in the restaurant also come with a bit of an attitude. Such a shame. Won’t be going back.

The hotel was beautiful and very clean. Staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be recommending it to our friends and returning ourselves

The reception staff were great and took us to the room no problem. Although we had seen the room online the initial reaction was that it was small and very dark, not much natural light and weird light switches which we never sussed out. No privacy for the loo, just a heavy curtain which hung on the shower side as well. Overall disappointing but maybe the ambiance was not for us. Should point out we had a 12 course Thai tasting menu which although the food was very tasty they served 6 dishes at a time which was odd to the extent some dishes got cold.

I didn\'t sample anything the hotel had to offer other than the room I was in. It was one of the "Boujee" suites, room 29. On first entry it seemed lovely. But it\'s a good from far, far from good kind of deal. First thing you realise that it\'s very dark. There\'s no option to brighten the room. Reading anything requires a torch unless you\'re directly under the main room light. The lounge area of the room is so dark it\'s hard to even see the sofa or table in front of it. You definitely need a torch to figure out which is shampoo, body wash or conditioner in the shower. The bathroom only had a curtain separating it from the bedroom. Good luck if you need some privacy in there. Better hope your partner packed some earplugs. Air freshener too because the windows don\'t open. No fridge in the room. The bath is a nice touch and so is the water which falls from a concealed pipe in the rafters above. It\'s unique and memorable. But the noise as the water fell into the bath is irritating. The bath isn\'t comfortable to sit in either. It\' The worst thing though is the bed. It\'s obvious what people come here for. The beds will see some action. My mattress was soft and badly sunken in the middle of the mattress. It\'s clear what section of the bed endured the most activity. It gave me back pain. 3 hours after checking in, I left for home and didn\'t come back until it was check out time 2 days later. I made complaints about the bed but nothing was done about it. Never again!

I would not call this hotel ‘quirky’ it is totally unpractical. The rooms are really dark, you can hardly see to get ready. Our bed was against the wall with no bedside cabinets. I moved a table to put next to the bed for my water. The water for the free standing bath came from the ceiling & the pressure is so slow I’m sure it would’ve taken all day to fill. The shower & basin also so unpractical. The light in the bathroom automatically comes on, but kept going off while still on the toilet! The stairs leading up to our room were also far too dark, not great after a few drinks. Even the men’s & ladies toilets down in the bar were really dark. I cannot comment on the cleanliness of our room as you couldn’t see!! The food in the thai restaurant was superb & the staff excellent. Would definitely not stay in the hotel again though. Our friends stayed in another room & said the same.

Great, unique interiors. We had the smallest room and it was very small with the bed against the wall and a sloped ceiling above it. But still a nice room.

Everything was near enough perfect however there was a lot of dust in the bathroom cupboard, the lights were very confusing and didn’t turn off or on when you would press them. However the worst part was the bed, it was so hard that we ended up leaving at 5am to go home and get some actual sleep !

Excellent place to stay and the presentation and options were fantastic. Loved the TV coming up from the bottom of the bed. However, when I told friends where I’d stayed and attempted to describe the red velvet wallpaper, dimly lit room with leather floors, gold tiled bathroom and leather studded bed & and animal prints, they called me a pervert!!. Still, I’d definitely come again, or should that be stay again.

I had an issue with a light that would not switch off, which looked like a connection issue. I reported on 2 occasions and it was not fixed. on check out, I was taking my stuff to my car, parking is no onsite and the cleaner came into the room while I was out and removed my items and left them outside of the room. To note I had just got married and my clothing items are precious and delicate and this was at 9.30am and it wasnt 11am checkout time. On reporting to staff, i was told the manager will be in touch however no one has made contact.

Staff didn’t have a clue what they were doing, always hidden charges. Arguing between themselves in the background. Whenever I mentioned anything that wasn’t written down (getting charged more than was said) they’d look at me and talk to me like I was a massive inconvenience. Over rated tbh, food was average.

Great stay. Only reason i didnt give a 5 star rating is that bar staff added items to my room bill without informing me. And On check out i also got charged a late fee for being 20 mins late giving back the room keys. So give back rooms keys before loading your luggage in the car !!!

Loved the property and room. Chris welcomed us and gave us a tour and run down of the hotel and amenities. The Thai restaurant on site was amazing with great service. The opportunity lies with the bar service, it is table service but the staff was not as attentive as our previous experiences with table service. The bar was not busy at the time, so unsure of the delay in ordering and getting drinks. There was an overall lack of attention and follow up.

Once again the amazing front of house ladies were brilliant! Thank you Annabelle and Chloe as always 🙂

The hotel is very good very unusual decor lovely warm swimming pool and excellent layout hotel rooms spread out along the main high street lovely welcoming staff and easy parking along the high street plenty of little cafes and pubs in the area as the hotel’s restaurant and bar prices are ways over priced and food not the best of menus the only issue we had was the self rising tv coming out of the leather bed had broken so was unable to watch a film at night be careful when booking on Expedia as they do not show you the correct rooms you are booking and even the receptionist said do not book through them this was a 40 th birthday surprise and had to be moved to a better room as I wanted a room with a bath in it as this was the surprise 40th present my wife wanted as she has always wanted to stay there.

Very comfortable rooms. Interesting decor . Conveniently located to explore the local area.no obvious sign - lookout for the bear!

A great place to stay, beautifully styled rooms and bar and you would think you were in Morocco relaxing by the outside pool. Dinner was in the Thai restaurant just a little way down the street ( though I understand it is moving back to the main hotel by June this year) the food and service were superb. Would definitely visit again and old town Beaconsfield is an incredible town with very wide streets and free parking everywhere- we parked outside the hotel front door.

We had an amazing experience at the crazy bear. The best hotel me and my partner have stayed in by far. Could not fault the staff who made our stay so special. The room was immaculate and the location of the hotel was perfect for what we wanted. Thank you to the crazy bear!

Amazing staff and unique hotel! It was hard to find since it had no signage, but other than that, it was great. The hotel also had a really cool bar/lounge area with DJ. We will be back!

We loved our time at crazy bear beaconsfield , we found it was a little sneaky how the waiter offered us bread while we waited for our steak and then we get the bill and found out this cost £6 but we was inder the impression it was a good will gesture as the main would take so long , also we found the service charging was quite high especially for 2 drinks . As for the room though it was an amazing experience which we would love to do again it made our 12th wedding anniversary feel that extra special . The staff were very well mannered and made us feel comforable so thank you for a lovely stay at tour hotel

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was on the small side but really well equipped and thought out. We had a cocktail in the bar abd the service and cocktail were amazing. Breakfast was good but took 50 minutes from ordering... it was cooked to order but the delay was a disappointing especially as it cost £46 for 2.

Stayed here for a birthday - absolutely no complaints! The food was delicious at both the English and the Thai, service quick and friendly! Would highly recommend.

Can see the potential of what I am sure was once a beautiful property. I know it is under new ownership and they are doing renovations so it would be great to revisit once complete as some aspects of the room and property were a little in need of tender loving care .. cracked ceiling mirror .. tap system on the bathroom sink a little unusual to use (to get a good flow of water you had to open the cupboard door ). Good parts were the Thai meal and breakfast fantastic, comfy bed , staff were amazing and would 100% revisit on that part alone !

Room is amazing comfortable clean woll recommended but breakfast need to improve as take so long i have to wait 45 minutes. In the restaurants only 3 customers including myself order toast got toast but no butter? Asking for a cup of hot water got normal water. Will not recommended fot breakfast staff need to be more professional as talking and laughing too lound.
