The Croft

I very rarely post a bad review; I normally don't post a review at all if I haven't liked it. However, we booked The Croft based on the number of 5* reviews it had. On a positive, the location of this B&B is perfect - really close to the High Street. However, we've stayed in a lot of places, both higher and lower end, depending on our requirements, and I'm sorry to say that this is probably one of the worst places we've stayed at. The room and en-suite were possibly the smallest we've ever stayed in and we were genuinely shocked when we walked in the room as it wasn't advertised as a small or 'snug' double room. The decor was really dated and not well maintained, there were very few sockets (I had to unplug a lamp to charge my phone), and the fixtures and fittings were poor. I honestly don't understand why this B&B has so many 5* reviews. We would never stay here again and I couldn't recommend it.

Lovely B & B. Room was spotless and the breakfast was delicious. The ladies were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.

Good choice and vegetarian options available for breakfast. Hot food cooked to order. It would be nice if tea/coffee making facilities were available in the cozy lounge area so guests could socialise at other times. I would definitely book again.
