We have stayed here a few times now and the improvements and extension to the bar area is lovely. Upgraded rooms also are great. Breakfast is ok but could do with more fruit and pastries. Evening meal was great, especially as it was so busy. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Have booked again for next year

What a great hotel! Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful. The family room (for me, my husband and my two uni-aged kids) was spacious and spotless. The bathroom gleaming clean. The mattresses were very comfortable, soft and hard pillows provided, beautifully laundered bed linen too. Little details -- like the hairdryer attached to the mirror, and a standing fan (which we had to use as it was a hot night), and a fridge -- showed that the management are really thinking about the customer's needs, and trying to provide a service like more established hotel chains. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, a huge full English with perfect poached eggs, kippers for my pescatarian kids, served by conscientious restaurant staff. There is a gorgeous view of the sea from the restaurant terrace. I asked at the the bar in the evening if we could have some plates to take up to our room because we had a birthday cake for my daughter. The lady working there was so thoughtful, she gave us forks and napkins too -- just a simple thing but it's those little acts of customer care that make a hotel experience perfect. We were here only for one night, but we will definitely return for longer at some point -- we all loved this hotel.

We have visited the Gwbert Hotel for a number of times in the past years. Always loved the place with good service and excellent views. We loved the revamp that just been done looking very nice and being very comfortable.

Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable family room and great customer service. The food we had in the evening was lovely. The roast beef is one of the best I've had 👌 The only issue we had was our family room (number 18) was situated directly above the reception area and very near the room where the pool table is. We had a young child with us and the pool room was very noisy late into the night which affected our sleep. Staff should take this into consideration if a family with young children are staying in that room.

Easy parking at this smashing hotel, bar and restaurant. There are lovely views from most rooms. Breakfast is great and remains as good as it has been for the last 15 years. The young receptionist was an absolute gem, let us pray that she continues in hospitality as she will be sorely missed.

Booked a family room and wasn't disappointed a double with two singles with plenty of space, this hotel is brilliant staff where excellent & the cleaners deserve a mention the hotel is kept spotless.we had a brilliant four nights great family walks outside the hotel which includes seal & dolphin watching. Defiantly stay again in the future.

What a wonderful couple of nights we spent at the Gwbert hotel. I spent every summer holiday as a child in Gwbert and remember the building as a rather ramshackled Anchor Hotel and a small shop where I used to buy my penny sweets! The conversion to this lovely hotel is wonderful to see. Lovely views of Cardigan Bay and Teifi Estuary and we were able to hear the waves crashing at night. Food was delicious and the breakfasts were superb. Lovely friendly staff. Only negative was a damp smelling bathroom.

Another amazing trip down to Gwbert. Upgrades on the hotel are fabulous! Great clean family room with bottles of water in the fridge, my only slight quibble was the temperature in the room.... it was very warm, and although a fan is provided I still found it uncomfortable

Room very tidy, clean and beautifully furnished. Hotel is very well positioned. Views of the estuary are wonderful. Bathroom good size. Walk in shower terrific. Food very good. Staff very helpful and accommodating. We loved our stay. Would highly recommend.

Such a warm and welcoming hotel where everyone is really friendly, efficient and nothing is too much trouble. Room had views of the sea, and the food was amazing, served quickly, hot to the table and swapping around menu was no issue. Bed doesn’t compare to Premier Inn beds but big plus was windows that open.

While the hotel itself was ok , found the staff rather curt and less friendly than any other point in our UK trip thus far. Not welcoming in the least and frankly acted like they were tired of the tourist season and just wanted to be done. Beautiful town and area though. Maybe we just caught them on an off night?

Overall very disorganised. Booked a suite and got the smallest room in the hotel. Only at breakfast did we realise someone else had been given our suite. This came to light when we gave our room number for breakfast and was told we had already had breakfast, thats when we found out we had not been given the suite we booked. Most of the staff were friendly but disorganised, one lady was very rude and blunt. You have to ask what system is in place where the wrong people get the wrong rooms? I had to make sure nothing was booked to our room that we were billed for. We have stayed here a few times now and the improvements and extension to the bar area is lovely. Upgraded rooms also are great. Breakfast is ok but could do with more fruit and pastries. Evening meal was great, especially as it was so busy. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Have booked again for next year

Easy parking at this smashing hotel, bar and restaurant. There are lovely views from most rooms. Breakfast is great and remains as good as it has been for the last 15 years. The young receptionist was an absolute gem, let us pray that she continues in hospitality as she will be sorely missed.

Excellent stay, cooked Breakfast was good, however they had listed Pastries and Fruit but none there. Also all the fruit juice had gone and there was no attempt to refill jugs etc.

Loved it. Staff are really good and friendly. Breakfast on Sunday was the only time the standard fell but it was still good. Silly things like forgot to bring toast and then half of them were burnt. They had had a busy a weekend. We really enjoyed.

The property in general was well appointed including the bedroom. The dining room was cramped but the food was good, though my steak was not rare as asked for. The room was quiet though didn't look out over the estuary.

What a great hotel! Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful. The family room (for me, my husband and my two uni-aged kids) was spacious and spotless. The bathroom gleaming clean. The mattresses were very comfortable, soft and hard pillows provided, beautifully laundered bed linen too. Little details -- like the hairdryer attached to the mirror, and a standing fan (which we had to use as it was a hot night), and a fridge -- showed that the management are really thinking about the customer's needs, and trying to provide a service like more established hotel chains. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, a huge full English with perfect poached eggs, kippers for my pescatarian kids, served by conscientious restaurant staff. There is a gorgeous view of the sea from the restaurant terrace. I asked at the the bar in the evening if we could have some plates to take up to our room because we had a birthday cake for my daughter. The lady working there was so thoughtful, she gave us forks and napkins too -- just a simple thing but it's those little acts of customer care that make a hotel experience perfect. We were here only for one night, but we will definitely return for longer at some point -- we all loved this hotel.

Loved our 3 night stay. Had a seafacing room with bay window so had an amazing view right along the estuary. Ate in the hotel one night and had a good, enjoyable meal. I paid extra for a suite overlooking the sea and it was well worth it. The welcome it gave was breathtaking. The room was among the best I've ever experienced being spacious and of top quality materials. A nice touch was the screen between the bath and the living room/balcony view which was clear or opaque at the flick of a switch meaning you could have a beautiful sea view from your bath. My food was excellent, but my wife's breakfast and evening meal was a little plain, ie just cooked straight, no sauces, seasoning or anything. If they had a chef, this place would be 10 stars.
