I stayed 2 nights. Very convenient location just near the Pennines and Chatsworth House. My room was very spacious and the bathroom too. I had a good breakfast too, porridge. Good dinner options too. Great and friendly staff too. Accomodation was in separate building to the pub too, connected by a covered walkway. 👍

All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room provided everything required, clean and quiet. Good choice of food at very reasonable prices. Easy parking.

Value for money, with a large, comfortable bed. The room was nothing out of the ordinary but had everthing needed for a comfortable short stay. Reasonably priced breakfast available and staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of free parking on site. The position of the hotel on a fairly busy road and on the edge of a housing estate means that it is not in a pretty location, but the rooms seem to be located behind the pub and are quiet.

Was there for a night because of work nearby. Hotel was really good, room was clean and warm, staffs were friendly. Ground floor there was quite a big pub and restaurant, nice place for beer and dinner and rest !

hotel rooms are at the side of the pub not above it so nice and quiet with parking and entrance of their own but easy access to the pub and dining. Added the full english breakfast for £8.75 each which included nice quality bacon, sausage and black pudding. Room clean, mattress firm & comfortable, bedding and towels also good quality. Will happily stay at a Marston's Inn again if they are all like this. Thank you

Great staff, eay access and parking. The roo s are spacious and very clean and tidy. The breakfast was superb bu dudnt eat there in the evening as I was attending a function elsewhere. I would imagine it would have been a fine, typical, 'pub' meal.

pleasantly surprised by the quality of the chain pub. Great for solo weekend stay, good meals, freshly cooked breakfasts, easy parking, very clean rooms - basic - but everything you needed.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room and bed was comfortable and facilities were good and i slept well. The breakfast was average a few items had been replaced . Only complaint was the mould on the shower head which i had to wipe off. Would return

great stay, yes room was spotless, superb comfy bed , lovely wool carpet, shower to die for nice long bath. All the staff were friendly, professional, helpful. excellent food at sensible prices and individually cooked and served breakfasts with lots of options. 'So impressed I told manager and praised the cleaners personally.

We have stayed at the Olde House a few times and always found it to be consistently good. The pub has a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff. The rooms are modern and spacious and there's plenty of parking - happy to recommend.....

Only stayed for one night. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room had everything you require tea and coffee etc. Hairdryer TV very clean . We didn't eat in the bar but menu looked very good.

I was dissapointed with the room. The windowsill was sticky, the shower head did not hold its position, there was some black mould near the bath, The sink and bath drained very slowly. I was suprised there was only two tea bags, no hot chocolate or bottled water - these cost pence not pounds. With all the above in mind, the room was on par with a Travelodge which I could have booked at a considerably lower cost. The bar area is a nice venue.

Big family room. Huge king size bed. Friendly welcome. Good pub grub for evening meal. Choice of continental or cooked breakfast available until 9.30. We slept well. Not too much noise at all from surrounding rooms. We were room 2 away from the main bar area so WiFi was a bit intermittent in the room but good in main pub area. A good stay for the money.

Stayed in upstairs room - number 9 from memory. Two nights of very poor sleep caused by screeching pipes in room next door when bath or shower was run. The hotel must be aware that this is a problem. The walls are also very thin and next door's television can be heard. On the second night, I was awoken by the person next door running the shower or bath at 5.20 in the morning! Have stayed at the Olde House several times before and even held a reception there but will not be using it in future. Very disappointing.

Friendly accommodating staff. Very clean room. Great beer and food. The ONLY drawback is the paper-thin walls where you can hear people on the phone like they’re sitting next to you! Please, invest in sound proofing and you’ll be a great hotel, not just a good one! Thanks, Dante.

Good base to visit Chesterfield, big room with a big super king bed, poweful shower and the room was nice and warm. The hotel could do with a refurbishment, but we were happy with everything, we didnt eat there, but had a drink in the bar which was well stocked. This is the 2nd time we have stayed there and we will stay there again. Taxi/uber around £6 to the centre of Chesterfield.

Lovely and central for everything we wanted to do. Good sized room with everything we needed however the rooms REALLY need soundproofing. Could hear next doors normal level conversation word for word! Breakfast was a bit disappointing; our order for cooked breakfast and tea was taken but no cereal offered before it arrived; no continental offered either and the lady serving had disappeared so couldn’t ask for it. Considering this was included in the price and we were off out for the day so ideally wanted a good breakfast to keep us going this was a shame. We have never had this problem at any other Marstons and decided to have breakfast out for the rest of our stay. Evening meals were very good, great service, great staff and very good meal choice.

From the moment we got there, every member of staff we encountered was so friendly and welcoming. Lewis served our table on both nights we ate there and was really helpful. The choice and quality of food was great. Location was ideal for Meadowhall & Chatsworth. We would definitely recommend staying at Olde House Chesterfield

We arrived mid afternoon on a drizzly day and looked forward to taking time out. Check in was Friendly, quick and efficient. There was a nice warm log stove in the main area, the bar area was inviting and clean. We had a couple of drinks while looking at the miserable weather outside. It was a lovely afternoon break, and we then ended up staying and ordering an evening meal. Ordering via the app along with a discount code was quick and easy, and within fifteen minutes our meals arrived with a smile, the meals were well presented, and very tasty. The breakfast next morning before checking out, was also very tasty with a smile again, and choice of toast types and tea/coffee whichever we wanted. Check out was just as quick and easy, we shall be staying again as it was a most enjoyable one night stop, with easy access to tourist attractions in the area. The room was comfortable, and spacious. The staff were all helpful, cheerful and efficient.

Delightful stay at a charming inn and pub! I loved this place and it was an incredible value. A 20-minute drive to Chatsworth and less than 10 to the Chesterfield train station, it could not have been more convenient. The pub was the best part- such nice local character and such friendly people. And amazing prices! I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed 2 nights. Very convenient location just near the Pennines and Chatsworth House. My room was very spacious and the bathroom too. I had a good breakfast too, porridge. Good dinner options too. Great and friendly staff too. Accomodation was in separate building to the pub too, connected by a covered walkway. 👍

If you are driving, this place is ok, otherwise it’s a bit isolated from restaurants or other facilities. The accommodation is fairly basic but clean, and staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant/pub is pleasant with a basic bar food type menu.

From the moment we got there, every member of staff we encountered was so friendly and welcoming. Lewis served our table on both nights we ate there and was really helpful. The choice and quality of food was great. Location was ideal for Meadowhall & Chatsworth. We would definitely recommend staying at Olde House Chesterfield

Value for money, with a large, comfortable bed. The room was nothing out of the ordinary but had everthing needed for a comfortable short stay. Reasonably priced breakfast available and staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of free parking on site. The position of the hotel on a fairly busy road and on the edge of a housing estate means that it is not in a pretty location, but the rooms seem to be located behind the pub and are quiet.

Good base to visit Chesterfield, big room with a big super king bed, poweful shower and the room was nice and warm. The hotel could do with a refurbishment, but we were happy with everything, we didnt eat there, but had a drink in the bar which was well stocked. This is the 2nd time we have stayed there and we will stay there again. Taxi/uber around £6 to the centre of Chesterfield.

Room was fantastic, spacious, clean, quiet (apart from a fire alarm but that probably doesn't happen very often) and customer service was exceptional. There was some work being done in the corridor but that did not impact our stay. We were meeting family and exploring the area and found it was close to the major roads. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of lovely food choices in the pub attached. I would recommend this hotel.

This was a really lovely inn, myself and a friend stayed and had a lovely evening. The hotel room was large and clean, bedding was nice but we did have a rip in one of the duvet covers.the bathroom was clean and shower was powerful! We enjoyed our meal in the restaurant but there was a lot that was off the menu, we had to chose a few alternatives before we got something. Close to Chatsworth house which was ideal. Would definitely stay here again

great stay, yes room was spotless, superb comfy bed , lovely wool carpet, shower to die for nice long bath. All the staff were friendly, professional, helpful. excellent food at sensible prices and individually cooked and served breakfasts with lots of options. 'So impressed I told manager and praised the cleaners personally.

Excellent choice of breakfasts served by cheerful, friendly staff. Great selection of evening bar meals for vegetarians or carnivores. Chenin Blanc wine and Wainwright’s bitter made for a good bar experience.

We arrived mid afternoon on a drizzly day and looked forward to taking time out. Check in was Friendly, quick and efficient. There was a nice warm log stove in the main area, the bar area was inviting and clean. We had a couple of drinks while looking at the miserable weather outside. It was a lovely afternoon break, and we then ended up staying and ordering an evening meal. Ordering via the app along with a discount code was quick and easy, and within fifteen minutes our meals arrived with a smile, the meals were well presented, and very tasty. The breakfast next morning before checking out, was also very tasty with a smile again, and choice of toast types and tea/coffee whichever we wanted. Check out was just as quick and easy, we shall be staying again as it was a most enjoyable one night stop, with easy access to tourist attractions in the area. The room was comfortable, and spacious. The staff were all helpful, cheerful and efficient.

Lovely and central for everything we wanted to do. Good sized room with everything we needed however the rooms REALLY need soundproofing. Could hear next doors normal level conversation word for word! Breakfast was a bit disappointing; our order for cooked breakfast and tea was taken but no cereal offered before it arrived; no continental offered either and the lady serving had disappeared so couldn’t ask for it. Considering this was included in the price and we were off out for the day so ideally wanted a good breakfast to keep us going this was a shame. We have never had this problem at any other Marstons and decided to have breakfast out for the rest of our stay. Evening meals were very good, great service, great staff and very good meal choice.

The room was fine, spacious clean and comfy bed. Staff very helpful, polite, busy and really could do with more staff during busy periods. When going for evening meal had to ask for tables to be cleared and cleaned as staff too busy to keep on top of it. Dining chairs in need of cleaning as some were very stained and worn. Sunday evening quiz and bingo very good. Breakfast fine. Overall good value for money.

Great staff, great food and great beer. Bedroom was a little warm as no air-con but the large fan was a big help. We will definitely return on our travels next year.

Beware, took £40 from my bank account for a ‘meal allowance’ for two people 8 hours before I checked in without my knowledge or consent. Never mentioned it to me on check in. I only noticed when I checked by online bill late at night. Said it was just a temporary hold but it wasn’t as the money was taken from my account the next day. I had no intention of having food as I didn’t arrive until 2130 hours on a business trip. It’s fraudulent! Also says you get a free breakfast but it’s not free as they put £9.75 on the price of your room stay which you are when you check your online bill. I never intended to have breakfast either as I was leaving for a business meeting at 6.30am. Spent 90 mins on telephone trying to sort it out over two days!

Well positioned pub, clean, friendly staff, and great breakfast! Chose as not far from friends visiting and Chatsworth House. Would stay again. Function room has discos and events, but not noisy from our room. Fan in the room which was needed during the heatwave.
