As always, our room was super clean and ready upon check in. Staff at the desk were five-star. We normally eat away from the hotel, but decided to try the restaurant for breakfast the next day. Very good, hot, and priced pretty good for a hotel restaurant. The ONLY thing that I found bogus, was the pay to park thing. I hadn't been down there since 2024, so it was obviously implemented after that. I don't usually stay at hotels where you have to pay parking.

I was looking forward to a luxurious get away for a couple of days after a grueling weekend speaking engagement in the Baltimore area. I was very impressed with the hotel when I arrived, The facility itself is beautiful. The amenities are very nice and the room is well appointed, was very clean, and comfortable. The shower was an experience! There are multiple on-site dining options. The issue was with housekeeping. On my second day I asked my room be freshened up, towels changed, trash picked up. I made the request at about 9 AM. I called at 2 to check on the status of that request and the front desk said they would check with housekeeping. At 4:00 I was thinking I would like a nap before dinner so I cleaned up the room myself, took the trash out, and tracked down a housekeeper to exchange towels. I called the desk to cancel my housekeeping request, The desk said sorry. Someone did knock on the door at about 5 but at that point the room was clean. What made this more irritating was that my room rate went up (Monday) but the service level went down. There is onsite parking in the garage attached to the hotel but there is a $10 charge. I thought about that as I checked out on Tuesday morning. I normally wouldn't have really noticed and a lot of hotels have a daily parking charge much higher but at the end of the day it just make me feel that the property's goal is removing your cash and seeing how little service you'll put up with.

The front desk was not at all helpful. I arrived late and the front desk staff was unable to help with paying for parking and she was very rude. There was only one elevator working.
