A good budget hotel, you don't get anything like a kettle, hairdryer included in the room, but they are available to ask for at the reception with a deposit of £10. Room was clean, friendly staff. Only reason for 4 star rating was because the bathroom in the room was really weird. The toilet is in its own room, but the sink was out in the open facing the bed, and the shower was on its own too (with a shower door obviously), it was basically stepping out into the bedroom where the sink was. It was fine as it was just me and my boyfriend, but it would've been nice for the toilet, shower and sink to be in a completely separate area with a door for some privacy.

Parking was outrageous at £14 per night

I arrived at the hotel 90 mins early and asked if I could check in early, I didn't need access to the room. I was told early check in, even 90 mins, was an extra charge....a room was obviously available. I chose to wait. I probably missed it, but there is a £14 per night parking charge (I paid less for a hotel on the outskirts of London the previous weekend). Continental breakfast was £7 per person, and was fair value with a good selection to choose from. The room is basic, as one would expect, but could have done with a chair to sit in rather than a plastic stool. Given the "extra" charges, the cost was closer to possibly more comfortable rooms with other brands.

The air conditioning is poor, very hot and stuffy in the room even it is 10 degree outdoor in Manchester. The pillow is too high and hard. If it has water kettle and drinking water supply will be good.

Very satisfactory, being a budget hotel. I was issued a penalty fne for parking eventhough I paid at checkout. I contacted the hotel and thry had the psrking company cancel the ticket. I think that was very helpful and I appreciate it very much.

The hotel is good, great price if you book early, very good location, comfortable bed, hot shower, some of the rooms have good views, there is a payable parking at the hotel, you can use microwave if you need it, overall the hotel is good, not bad at all, it’s not my first time and I would stay again here

AIR-CON IS NOT ON & hotel had turned power OFF for Air-Con Unit in our room . So our room was too hot, had to keep the window Open all night as was no air& it a hot day . I asked for a fan & the hotel did not have One to loan to me..

The room was just as the pictures but they don’t mention in the listing about the £14 per night parking soon makes the value dissipate when I paid £38 to sleep and £14 to park

Lovely to have air conditioning on a sweltering hot night, especially in a budget hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location for Salford quays.

Very basic room but ok for one night. Car park shared with hotel next door and was full on my arrival. Cost £12 for parking

Hotel is very convenient for the Salford Quays Metrolink stop. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. I found the mattress a bit thin and hard. The shower was very quick to heat up and quite powerful. Good choice of food at breakfast (but note that there's no hot food option). Overall a good hotel for the price. Maria on reception deserves a special mention for sorting out an issue with my on-line reservation.

This hotel was disgusting, the room was tiny, covered in dust and looked like it had never seen a hoover in its life, the bathroom looked like it got cleaned with baby wipes and had no toilet roll, I would avoid at all costs, we didn’t even stay the night just decided to go home instead.

Car park was very small and not well documented where it was. Got checked in went to the room. There was brown stains on the sink this was not cleaned as when wiped they went straight away. Also there was faeces under the toilet seat so obviously not cleaned. Went down to tell the reception and they made us go back up to the room with them to show them. Went back downstairs to be given a new room key to change room. We went to bed in the evening and the bed was very very hard felt as if we were sleeping on a wooden board.

We stayed for one night and unfortunately did not enjoy our stay. We arrived late due to a long journey. Upon checking in reception staff were helpful. When we got to our room we had noticed the bathroom was not well cleaned. There was a lot of mould on the accessibility facilities, we were not using these and choice not to use the shower facilities due to this. My concern was that those required this would have to use these and in my opinion a poses a health risk. Finally after getting into bed after a long day we looked up and above the bed (below the bunk bed) there was what appears to be bodily fluid (bloodied) sweared all across the bed. Unfortunately at this point we decided it was too late to change rooms and had to sleep on the opposite end. We checked out early as we did not want to stay any longer. I mentioned this at reception. I feel the receptionist did not feel apologetic and felt like it was not worth the time. We got a simple “oh thank you for letting me know.” In my opinion this is a huge health hazard and even though this is a budget hotel this should not be a standard. We only had one night luckily but due to this we left the moment we woke up to get home and clean. I personally would never normally review but on this occasion I feel this is needed due to the nature.

Staff was welcoming and helpful. Reception area was bright and colourful which felt very welcoming and modern. Room: Small and compact, bed was very hard and not great on the back. Floors and walls had markings all over them and shower seals and gaping around shower was covered in black mould. I understand this is a budget IBS hotel but I dont not think this is worth £184 for 2 nights with breakfast.

The room is very clean but bit disappointed as there was no wardrobe. The washroom is very very compact. I found a cockroach in my room which was horrendous.

First off, I'm aware this is a budget hotel, and so I did not go in expecting amazing from Ibis. That being said, I found this hotel to be lacking in many basic ways that meant my stay was uncomfortable and unenjoyable (and it wasn't that cheap!) Note that only upon making a booking with Ibis do they let you know that parking costs £14 per day. I think they should be much clearer about this, as parking around the hotel is limited and just as costly, and depending on the length of your stay it can make a real difference (I came for an event and had friends stay at a much nicer hotel nearby which came out only £10-15 more expensive once car parking costs were factored in). The twin room is not comfortable. The beds are too close together, and cannot be moved due to the wooden frames they sit within. You'll be very cozy with your room mate, so keep that in mind if this is a business trip. The toilet is in a closet. I'm not joking. There's a little closet by the door that has the toilet and nothing else. The sink is in the room itself, with a plastic shower cubicle beside it. This is a room for single occupancy or couples masequrading as a twin room. My trip was in July when it was very warm. The air con system was broken so it was uncomfortably warm at night, made worse by plastic materials used on the (under) sheets on the bed which meant you stuck to them. Breakfast can be included for a set price - this part was fine. Look elsewhere first.

If you keep in mind the price, it’s not a bad hotel, room is small but big enough, TV again small but big enough, I like the pod style showers, some don’t. W/C was very small but not a place you spend too long. Very thin walls, solo chap next to me was erm… active. I like a firm mattress but this was prison standard, although still an alternative to spending a week at the mother in laws. Fairly clean, short walk to work, close to a few places to eat. Can’t fault it for the price, but it wouldn’t be my first option to stay again. Solid 3.5 / 5

It is a fairly small room for 3 people and it didn't have a separate bathroom, just a small toilette (if you are of a bigger build, it can be a tight fit). The shower was more or less a hole in the wall with an opaque door. Not ideal when traveling with a teenager, but it had to do for one night. The bunk bed was unmade, which is not great after a long journey, but there was clean bedding provided. The room was overall clean and it smelled fresh. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is at the back of the hotel, which was not straight forward to get to as there is not signage on the main road. It is about a 10 min walk to Media City and the tram stop is across the road, if you want to venture into Man city.

Good location, but very noisy and windows spent fully close. The room is very basic good for one night only

The only problem was that there 2 sockets in the room a d the .irrpr was at r The other side of the room . Making it dificult to do hair!

The rooms are very small , tiny toilet. The mattress is hard . When we arrived the bed wasn’t even made only bed sheet left on the bed . Breakfast was not bad but could add beans as everything was dry food . Staff were ok . Had to pay packing with extra even though I was told the fee was £10 via email

There was a stain mark on the mattress for the single bed, and was rubbish such as a sweet packet within the bed frame which was revealed due to movement in the bed. Plus the window was rather difficult to close upon occasions where it had been open for a period of time, with regards to the window being open the tram noises were also particularly noticeable and made sleeping difficult during the later tram times. Despite all this the room was liveable for the one night duration spent, and staff service was excellent.

Very small you couldn’t move in toilet very very basic

Was a little surprised and disappointed at the room for the price. It didnt feel budget prices and the toilet was isolated in a very small cupboard in essence. I had a twin but the shower door is see through making showering difficult with a non romantic room share. It also faced a mirror so zero privacy at all.

Reception staff not very receptive. No acknowledgement of my presence or friendly greeting, on arrival, whilst waiting to check-in. Was kept waiting, for service, when it was my turn to be served. Receptionist more interested in stapling paperwork together.

Arrival was fine. The beds were so uncomfortable, the window wouldn’t close so thank ful for the warm aircon! Me and my friends were getting dressed the next day with still 4 hours to go till check out and the reception had assigned 3 men access to our room. In which they’ve walked in while we were getting changed! This is disgusting and frankly very very dangerous. We are all a little traumatised and shocked that someone would re check people into our room when you can’t check in till 3 anyways? Also the price we were quoted was shocking for the worst nights sleep ever

Staff and clean room amazing!

Reception staff when first arrived didn’t like the fact that I looked young. Questioned our relationship considering that I had a 15 year old child with me too. They then called police which arrived at my hotel room door at 11:30pm. Overall experience was a not so good. I didn’t want to stay in the hotel any longer than needed too.

Dear Ibis Hotels Customer Service, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at one of your hotels. This was my first time staying with Ibis, and unfortunately, it was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, I found the mattress in our room to be extremely uncomfortable—so much so that we had to go out and purchase a £30 mattress topper just to get through the night. When I asked reception whether all the rooms had the same mattresses, the staff were unhelpful and dismissive. I then spoke with the manager on shift, who said he would try to find us two extra pillows and a duvet to place over the topper, and that he would return in about 10 minutes. This was around 8:00 pm. Two hours later, nothing had been delivered to our room. I returned to reception at around 10:00 pm, only to find that the matter had been completely ignored. While I understand Ibis is a budget hotel brand, that should not mean compromising on basic service standards. In addition to the uncomfortable bed, we had to pay an extra £28 for parking, the “fan” in the room was ineffective and noisier than it was cooling, and there were holes in the bedding. The bedding was not even changed despite the cleaner visiting the room. Overall, our stay was poor, stressful, and unacceptable—especially given this was our first experience with Ibis. Between the extra costs we had to incur and the lack of care shown by staff, this was far below the standard

Efficient fairly standard French style budget hotel. Very well connected (Metro across the road). Really friendly and helpful staff made this stay a special one. Generous buffet breakfast.

All in all it wasn't the best budget place ive stayed at, I've had better facilities at a camping site. Everything is extra to pay for, car park, kettle, tea or coffee in the room. Hairdryer etc are also extra to pay for. Staff where abrupt and not very helpful, to the extent of staff been rude and at a point insulting. Manager was considered and helpful in dealing with the issues. Will take the offer up on returning for a second visit and changing this revenue.

My son and I did a football trip through the UK and Spain and this hotel was perfect for our purpose, it was reasonably priced, close to Old Trafford with dining options nearby.

The room was good and the bed was comfy, the shower was good, everything seemed clean and tidy. The breakfast was pretty good too, we only had it on the first day though. Its a pretty good bet for a cheap stay and is right next to the tram stop so its convenient

Stayed at the Ibis Budget Salford Quays as was going to a concert at the O2 Victoria Warehouse and picked this hotel due to its convenient location. Hotel was nice and clean and what I've come to expect from an Ibis hotel.

It was fine. Would I stay there again? Yes, but I'd rather find a hotel much closer to centrum, but having said that - transportation to and from city is dead easy. Service was nice and efficient. The place looked a bit cheap and there was no restaurant, but junkfood could be ordered (I didn't though). As for the room, the bed was good and the shower too. The toilet was achingly small and I'd like for them to provide a drinking glass - my last stay at an Ibis hotel had, but I guess that's where the "budget" comes in. It was adequate and did the job.

How can you state car park when you get given a map at reception with all available city carparks with additional charges to all.. very dated and the poorest breakfast i have ever had to endure.. shame .. honestly wouldnt stay again.

The staff were both helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy but it looked a little tired and coukd have done with a refresh. Breafast was good and plentyful so worth the extra.

Staff friendly on arrival. Room clean and bed was comfortable. Toilet very small (we thought it was a closet). Sink is the room with the bed. Shower was fine. We had the continental breakfast which was £8.50. It was OK, but could of done something hot, even if it was just omelette (quite a few people said anout a cooked breakfast).

For a budget hotel it was comfortable and clean, with helpful staff, and offered all the basics. Continental breakfast nice. We were able to bring in food and wine to the dining area in the evening, very welcome on a rainy night.
