Great location and the breakfast was really good. Few cleaning issues, clumps of hair on the floor and in the shower. But generally really clean, it was only a single night stay for a concert. The dishwasher was broken, forgot to mention this on checkout. Facilities are really good at the location with a pool, parking was steps away and partners with Q-Park for a discount.

Love staying at this hotel unfortunate that this is the 2nd time paying for parking at the hotel and have had to pay again at Q park as i couldnt get out of the barrier reception didnt answer my calls, hotel and breakfast fabulous but down over £40 on each stay because i have had to pay twice for parking

Great location, apartment was a bit beat up but pretty well equipped. One of the elevators is out of service so lots of waiting if you are on a higher floor. Restaurant was pleasant and the food was pretty good but they are very disorganized/ understaffed. Pool area is great but advertised steam room Is in other building and the hot tub is cold. Also note that the beds here are UK king size which are North American Queen size. Would stay here again.

Check in was smooth and friendly. Upon entering the room you could feel the coolness is the air con conditioning, the was super clean and smelt fresh. We used the swimming pool and jacuzzi, area was clean and tidy. Overall we had a great stay and will be back.

So front desk staff were awesome, the restaurant was lovely and clean but £50 for 2 plates of eggs on toast was excessive. The swimming pool was freezing and none of the lockers worked and the changing rooms weren’t particularly big or clean and one didn’t even have a working light. Once in our room it was nice and clean but the intercom to reception was broken and the the room itself was very cold with the only radiator being a towel warmer in the bathroom.

1st 4 star I have stayed in with no bar facilities. It’s closed Monday to Wednesday.. it should say that before you book. Location is excellent, room was good and pool is excellent. I booked for breakfast and still had to wait 20 minutes for my orange juice and coffee. Cooked breakfast which was very good arrived before my coffee and juice. Other guests complained as well.

Enjoyed our night's stay at Citysuites. Was a mix up at check in when guest from the previous night was still in the apartment as he'd got a late check, but reception quickly allocated us another room on a higher floor. Room was well equipped, with large bed, cooking facilities, washing machine, dishwasher and a comfy settee. Supplied The White Company Noir shampoo and shower gel, no conditioner so bring your own. Rainshower wasnt very powerful. TV also kept going off saying no signal which was a bit annoying. Had a meal in Embankment restaurant. Prawn tempura starter was excellent. Disappointed jacuzzi was closed for maintenance so didn't bother using the pool. In a great location just a couple of minutes walk to main shopping. Would recommend and would stay again.

Overall, OK, but only after we moved rooms. The first apartment had no desk, no desk light, broken door bolt, one dining chair (4 nights sharing a dining chair would’ve been tricky) and no bedside lights. We asked to move rooms and that took 45 mins, we received no apology, neither was anything offered for the inconvenience caused. The second apartment had no coffee table so drinks had to sit on the floor. The TVs did not have Sky HD+ plus and we had to use a fire stick to watch TV because the aerial did not work. The room wasn’t clean, the rug needed vacuuming, dirty duvet and filthy oven. I wiped the floor in the kitchen and the cloth was black, obviously not mopped for a while There was a general lack of maintenance: the dishwasher needed salt & rinse aid, and the washing machine had a cleaning symbol. The ironing board collapsed whilst ironing and would not click into the upright position so my husband nearly severely burned himself. On the second day, a cleaner knocked to ask if I was checking out as the room was down to change that day? I checked with reception that the room was allocated for a further 2 days and was assured it was. However, on my return, the keycard did not work, and I had to go to reception again. There was no apology for having to return again. The pool was not overly warm but jacuzzi good. For what we paid it was not a great experience and we won't be returning. We have stayed elsewhere in Manchester for less and it’s been better

I was only for one night (was attending a concert). In general, everything was good: staff was very nice and king, the apartment was spacious (One-Bedroom Apartment) location was great, the included breakfast was good as well. But in my experience the cleaning and condition of the rooms could be better. Our apartment was not very clean and in my opinion it seemed a little worn out.

The overall stay was nice but there was mould all around the shower. The shower head had blocked holes in it, so only half of it was working. But the condition of everything else was lovely.

Had a small suite with bedroom and sofabed. Sofabed was the most uncomfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The springs creaked, the mattress was thin, the frame was lumpy, the bed was too short for a 6ft person, so my feet kept hitting the freezing metal frame. No obvious heating controls in room. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were really polite and helpful. Toilets in dining room were filthy.

My stay was no so good unfortunately. Cleanliness was generally good but the first room we stayed in had stains on the coffee table. The Second room the oven tray was dirty. The heating was not working in our first room and we could not call reception as the intercom wasn’t working either. I had to make 2 trips downstairs to get help with this. It was so cold in the room we were shaking and had the duvet to keep us warm. It was actually warmer on the corridor and in the lift! We were finally told there is an error and would need to move rooms. At no point did the reception staff apologise or acknowledge the inconvenience. At one point when I was in the reception asking why no one had to come back to us, the receptionist named Ravi, did not even look at me or say anything for about 30 seconds and then said “here is your new room”. I asked if the heating is working in this room as they had a technical problem with the intercom, and he did not know. So we checked together and it was working. I asked the receptionist for his name and his colleagues name, he gave his and asked why I wanted his colleagues, to which I said this was because he attended my room and did not return. The receptionists attitudes generally were not very polite, welcoming or courteous. When we moved rooms, it was warmer which was nicer but actually got too hot at one point and did not seem to get any cooler after changing setings. The check-in process was slow. The room had one dining chair missing from the table and the soundproofing was not effective. I could hear the lift and also streetnoise as the window did not tightly close. The space was great and the breakfast was good.

First stay at City Suites and will definitley be returning. We had a corner room which was amazing. Great views over the city. The room has everything you need. The appliances are all high quality. We were really impressed with evertlything from check in to departure. Grsat staff as well

Huge place. Really nice clean flats, which are well equipped. Air con in every room. Super quiet. Surrounded by restaurants and bars. Only negative was that lots of little things needed maintenance (e.g. many lights not working, sinks not draining)

Exceptionally comfortable stay, the room is very big, with comfortable bed, and big bathroom. There is nespresso, fridge, washing mashine and dishwasher. Kitchennete is well equipped. Everything is clean and modern. Breakfast is amazing, not usual buffet, but a la carte, exceptionally tasty, well presented and the portions are huge. Great location, right in the city centre with a lot to see, shops food places, 8 min walking from Victoria Station, We were attending concert at AO Arena, it was 5 min walking. Highly recommended, this hotel will definitely be my first choice if I am coming back to Manchester.

I recently stayed at CitySuites Aparthotel 1 in Manchester and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While the hotel is well-located in the city center with great amenities, my stay was severely impacted by the unbearable heat in the room. When I returned around 3:30 am, I informed the night receptionist, who came up to our room and attempted the same steps we had tried before. He assured us that the central AC would cool down the room within 10 minutes, but that never happened. As a result, I barely got any sleep due to the stifling heat, even with the windows open. My cousin, who was staying in a different room, had the same issue, making the experience even more frustrating. Aside from this major inconvenience, everything else about the hotel was fine. However, the lack of responsiveness and the discomfort caused by the faulty air conditioning made my stay quite unpleasant. I hope the management addresses this issue for future guest

Overall, OK, but only after we moved rooms. The first apartment had no desk, no desk light, broken door bolt, one dining chair (4 nights sharing a dining chair would’ve been tricky) and no bedside lights. We asked to move rooms and that took 45 mins, we received no apology, neither was anything offered for the inconvenience caused. The second apartment had no coffee table so drinks had to sit on the floor. The TVs did not have Sky HD+ plus and we had to use a fire stick to watch TV because the aerial did not work. The room wasn’t clean, the rug needed vacuuming, dirty duvet and filthy oven. I wiped the floor in the kitchen and the cloth was black, obviously not mopped for a while There was a general lack of maintenance: the dishwasher needed salt & rinse aid, and the washing machine had a cleaning symbol. The ironing board collapsed whilst ironing and would not click into the upright position so my husband nearly severely burned himself. On the second day, a cleaner knocked to ask if I was checking out as the room was down to change that day? I checked with reception that the room was allocated for a further 2 days and was assured it was. However, on my return, the keycard did not work, and I had to go to reception again. There was no apology for having to return again. The pool was not overly warm but jacuzzi good. For what we paid it was not a great experience and we won't be returning. We have stayed elsewhere in Manchester for less and it’s been better

Staff were amazing, so professional, competent and on it. Arrived slightly early as we were going to a concert expecting to have to put our luggage behind reception but room was ready half hour early. Check-in took all of 3 minutes with everything we needed to know. Any queries were dealt with so efficiently. Room was lovely, bathrooms were spotless. We will be back! Worth every penny

This wasn't my first time staying at City Suites. After three successful stays over a year ago, I encountered my first bad experience on New Year’s Eve this year when the entire hotel lost hot water, leaving all guests unable to shower. As you can imagine, that's far from ideal when everyone is preparing to go out for the evening. I hoped this was an isolated incident, but sadly, it’s clear that the hotel has declined over the past year. Upon check-in, I was told that breakfast was included, but no one mentioned that it needed to be scheduled in advance. This oversight led to an hour-long wait the next morning just to be seated and served. The stay cost over £300, which isn't cheap, especially for just two people. The most disappointing aspect was that my son had to sleep on a broken sofa bed that creaked loudly with every movement. While some might suggest we should have requested a room change, we discovered the issue late in the evening and moving rooms at 10 PM with a child wasn’t a practical option. In hindsight, I should have moved rooms, as neither of us slept well. The unreasonable wait for breakfast the next morning was the final straw. Unfortunately, this will be my last stay at this hotel. It's a real shame because it was evident that the staff were embarrassed and clearly overworked.

Hi , we had problem with unlocking the door. When arrived had to wait 40 to 50 Minutes before checking in. We coudn't reserve a breakfast in the morning because there was no available slot!!! First comes , first served!!! At check out I forgot my Tablet at the reception, I have tried to contact the Hotel reception several times without any success.

Exceptionally comfortable stay, the room is very big, with comfortable bed, and big bathroom. There is nespresso, fridge, washing mashine and dishwasher. Kitchennete is well equipped. Everything is clean and modern. Breakfast is amazing, not usual buffet, but a la carte, exceptionally tasty, well presented and the portions are huge. Great location, right in the city centre with a lot to see, shops food places, 8 min walking from Victoria Station, We were attending concert at AO Arena, it was 5 min walking. Highly recommended, this hotel will definitely be my first choice if I am coming back to Manchester.

The reception staff friendly and welcoming. Arrived early and our room was ready no additional charges!! Was a lovely apartment well equipped clean and comfy. Pool area fantastic lovely jacuzzi The disappointment was breakfast. Booked a table arrived on time but didn’t get seated straight away. Was extremely busy. Seated a ridiculous low table and sofa set up. Waited a while to take our order but waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Waited another 15mins for drinks. We spotted a table become available and asked if we could move to it so when our breakfast came it would be easier to eat. We waited only to find the staff seated some other patrons who came in off the street and sat them at the table. Eventually our food came after waiting 40-50mins!! No cutlery at first. We weren’t given a cotton napkins like all other guests. Half our breakfast was forgotten and we had to ask for the continental aspects which arrived. We asked for more drinks which didn’t arrive so we left and cancelled them. The whole breakfast experience was poor. I appreciate it was busy and the staff were doing their best however I believe we were hidden in a corner and forgotten about. Over an hour from start to finish. Left what was a great stay with a disappointing end. Luckily we were able to check out an hour later due to the delays at breakfast!! Definitely don’t plan anything until you’ve finished as you will be late

Family of 4, stayed for 3 nights. The location is great. The facilities clean & modern. Rooms spacious. Swimming pool is a good size & temperature, limited space to change & tiny storage area for clothes. Restaurant has a pretty modern decor, good quality food - but we couldn’t get breakfast every day (although booked a table), they were just to busy, they couldn’t cope. I felt sorry for the staff trying really hard to manage. We waited 10 mins for a seat, told we would need to wait 45 for food to arrive, so we left. There are to many bedrooms/people vs the facilities. Some of the reception staff are rude & don’t understand the frustration of parking your car (paid in advance) to a car park adjacent to the hotel (not in the hotel) then having to find a porter to let you get your car & exit the car park without paying twice. We ended up paying twice as we had appointments that we needed to get to. We sought a refund for the car park & breakfast. On arrival we were asked to pay for accommodation/parking/breakfast in full which I expected. Plus, £100 charge to my account for ‘damages’. I wasn’t aware of this prior & was concerned when entering the room where there were marks on walls, the extraction fan in the bathroom didn’t work & small burn marks in the bedroom carpet - if I would be charged for these. Given I had already been charged £100 as a holding fee. I was advised ‘not to worry’. If you are going to charge a fee the condition of the room should be photographed prior.

The next morning, when I arrived in Manchester, I rang them and asked again and they said to give them an hour and they would have a room ready, so I made my way to the hotel. However, when I arrived, there was no room ready and I had to wait 2 hours in the reception area for a room. This was highly frustrating. Apart from that, the room was very clean, the breakfast was fresh, but there were a few maintenance issues; one of the two lifts was out of order so for a building with so many floors, having one lift added delays each time. When I went down for dinner, I was told there was an issue in the kitchen and they were not serving food (so I could not use my 20% reduction voucher). The Jacuzzi in the pool area would not come on and didn't see any button to press. Watch out for the 4pm check-in and 11am check-out. This is a development which I don't find fair on customers.

Stay was very very comfortable, very clean. They could have offered us a bit of early check-in but obviously the rooms were not ready. They were ready before the check-in time so that wasn't too bad. The parking, the communication on the parking could be a bit better in terms of how they let people out and that they can get a better price than paying directly to Q-Park In all, it's a good location, great receptionist, very friendly, nice swimming pool, gym, and a great place to stay, to be honest
