Beautiful mountain view, large spacious rooms immaculately maintained, very easy access to Lake Matheson and easy walk to town centre (15 mins or so on pathway). Wifi was a bit spotty in our room but fine outside. Highly recommend.

Beautiful view from room. Full kitchenette with induction cooker. Excellent place. Only lacking was a new wardrobe space with some hangers. But didn’t stop us from enjoying our stay.

Nice kitchen and good view of Mount Cook from the motel! We were greeted by a horse when we arrived. Clean, quiet, and a good heating system, which kept us warm indoors during a cold autumn day.

Room was large, quiet and included a kitchen to cook dinner or breakfast. We got food at town grocery store to cook for both meals. Connor at check in was friendly and provided lots of info. Fox Glacier is a small quiet town. We enjoyed staying here.

This was such a great motel slightly off the main town center of Fox Glacier but along the way to the popular Lake Matheson! The only downside I would list is that there was only one small panel heater in the room which was not sufficient to heat up the entire room. However, the beds had electric blankets and the bathroom had a heater so it was not a major issue.

Bra läge i utkanten av Fox mot Lake Matheson och utsiktsplatsen mot Fox Glaciär. Trevlig uteplats. Enkelt, men funktionellt och rent. Rymliga rum med gratis parkering precis vid dörren till rummet. Trivdes bra och bor gärna här igen. Prisvärt!

Great Hotel to stay at. We were in one of the 2 bedroom apartments and was very comfortable. Beds were great. Had own kitchen, lounge areas which was great. Free Wi-Fi also

Das Motel liegt am äußersten Rand von Fox an der ruhigen Straße zum Glacier Lookout. Das Bad war neu renoviert, sehr schön und groß. Wir hatten einen Parkplatz direkt vor unserem Eingang. Es gibt in der Anlage sehr liebe Hunde und ein Huhn, das uns am Fenster begrüßte. Es war alles in allem eine schöne und ruhige Location. Auch zur eigenen Frühstückszubereitung war alles vorhanden.

Great location with a great view. Unit kitchen was well stocked with equiptment to cook a meal. Kitchen, bedrooms and lounge were nice and clean but bathroom let the place down. Toilet stunk of stale urine and in desperate need of a proper scrub and disinfect.

Good value for what we paid. Unit was clean and tidy with plenty of room, bathroom area exceptional. Bonus was one of their dogs, coming to the door and wanting to play throw with the stick or stone.

This is a wonderful motel which is convenient for the town, glacier and lake. The room was large, super clean with good amenities. A great modern bathroom and large shower. Friendly proprietor and staff. I highly recommend a stay here.

Really nice motel, the nicest bathroom I came across in 8 different rooms. Incredibly good value. Friendly dog concierge, and Scottish owner was incredibly helpful regarding viewing locations of local attractions. Highly recommended.

Booked Mt Cook View Motel and due to road closures from adverse weather meant we couldn't make the booked date. Spoke to Matthew at the Motel who was very helpful and provided updates to road closures. We managed to move the booking to a later date and arrived to find a very helpful Matthew and well appointed accommodation. Matt pointed out some key activities to make the most of our stay which we followed and which provided some good memories of our stay at Fox Glacier including some awesome views of the glacier. Matt also booked us for a heli flight but unfortunately the weather the next morning wasn't that helpful. With Matt’s help, we had a great stay at Mt Cook View Motel and Fox Glacier including a great meal at Betsey Jane’s.

The great part about this property is its location, far from the hustle and bustle and in a very quiet area where once can blend with nature and see the terrific night sky. The rooms were large, beds and pillows comfortable and the heating worked well. However, there was no one on call either at the office nor on phone which needs to be corrected. Some items in the bathroom and room were non functional.

Wonderful motel about 1 km out of Fox Glacier toward Lake Matheson. Checkin was great, host provided map of both Fox Glacier & Franz Joseph. Our suite was spacious, in room kitchenette / living room with large comfy sofa, 2 bedrooms & bath/shower. Overall very comfortable & nice.

Room was comfortable with plenty of space for three of us. View of Mt Cook could be seen from the front, but had better going down the road to reflection island. The location is a little further out of town, so we did need to drive 5 minutes for dinner. But the place was comfortable, and would stay their again if in the neighbor hood. Plenty of activites to explore.
