Stayed here for stopover on the way back to the UK. We booked a superior double room with Rhine River views. Prior to check in at 2pm we parked the car in the large car park at the back and walked to the ferry (a few steps away) to Linz across the Rhine. The ferry costs 1.20 euro one way each. Linz was a very pretty 'chocolate box' town with lots of places to eat and drink. We strolled around and then returned to the hotel where we had a refreshing beer on the wonderful terrace while waiting for our room. The room was very large with a fridge and kettle for a morning cup of tea (take your own tea bags), it had a balcony which overlooked the Rhine, which we sat on for a pre dinner drink. The bathroom was also spacious with a shower but no bath. The beds were very comfortable. There is a TV in the room but the only English speaking channel was CNN, We enjoyed an evening meal on the terrace, it was lovely to take in the view over the Rhine whilst we ate. Breakfast was included, there was cereals, fruit, cold cuts, bacon and scrambled egg. The hotel was very full when we stayed so we had to wait a while for the bacon & scrambled egg to be replenished but it was all very nice. There is a train from Linz to visit Bonn & Cologne just 20 and 40 mins away which we didn't have time to do, alternatively there is a river boat which does the same journey. It was our first stay at this hotel but if we are ever in the area we would definitely stay again.

The hotel was on the river front and our room had a lovely terrace and a great view of the water. The room was very large and well decorated with drink making facilities available. The bathroom was modern with a lovely shower. Breakfast was good with a nice selection to offer, including some hot food. Staff were friendly and helpful. Two small minuses were, no lift to our room and the hairdryer was absolutely useless.

Hotel met een mooie ligging aan de Rijn vlakbij het pontje naar het prachtige stadje Linz! Ruime maar warme kamer, geen airo! Het was 30c en de zon scheen op de ramen, geen zonwering. Kleine douchecabine en kleine wastafel. Gratis parkeergelegenheid. WIFI was prima. Ontbijt was goed. Wij misten alleen een gekookt of gebakken eitje, enkel scrambled eieren. Een kan koffie wordt gebracht, geen cappuccino of espresso. Op de kamer geen koffie- en/of theezetfaciliteiten. Er was een minibar maar deze was stuk.

Hotel Rheinvilla is a nice accomodation at the border of the Rhine river, with a beautiful view on the city of Linz am Rhein and the opposite mountains. The accomodation is convenient, though it does not have an escalator to the upper floors. The personnel is professional and friendly. The hotel serves a generous breakfast with al lot of choice for everybody. Check-in and -out was easy. With the ferry closeby you can easily cross the river to visit the ancient city of Linz, where you find good cafes and restaurants. Recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at the Rheine Hotel Arte in Kripp, Remagen. Wonderful view over the Rhine from their enclosed conservatory where we ate breakfast every morning. Our room was very spacious with an ensuite bathroom. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was buffet style. It was superb with an extensive choice of meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, fruit and a very simple cooked breakfast as well. A gentleman at reception was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to give lots of advice on places to visit and things to do in the locality. About a half hour walk into Ramegan and the ferry( foot and car) across to the east bank, Linz, was right by the hotel. It was also convenient that you could have dinner at the hotel if you wished to do so: not particularly cheap, but very nice.

prima hotel aan de Rijn, allemaal netjes, beetje oud maar wel OK. Sanitair was netjes, bedden OK, ontbijt goed. We hadden fietsen gehuurd om naar Remagen te fietsen waar we wat gegeten hadden, heel goed bevallen! 4km over vlakke weg langs de Rijn. In de buurt zijn verschillende opties om te wandelen en te fietsen, fijn uitvalspunt

We got a lecture at checkout about not eating everything on our plates from the free breakfast buffet, animals died and we didn’t eat every scrap. In a “pet-friendly” hotel we also were berated because our clean, beautiful Weimaraner puppy sat in a chair at the reception/checkout counter. Someone doesn’t need to be in the hospitality business. With many other options, we cannot recommend this slightly rundown hotel.

The property is on the banks of the Rhine and has stunning views of the river, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very satisfying, the staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Het hotel had een prima ligging, we hadden een kamer met balkon en uitzicht op de Rijn (geweldig mooi). De kamer was netjes en schoon en ruimer dan we dachten. De man aan de receptie was een Nederlander die ons heel veel van de omgeving vertelde (veel tips). Personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Wir hatten 3 wunderschöne Tage, sind viel mit dem Fahrrad gefahren, alles top! Leider entsprach das Zimmer nicht unseren Vorstellungen und dem was uns versprochen wurde: für ein Doppelzimmer viel zu klein Zu wenig Ablagen im Bad, Nur 1 Stuhl, die 2. Person musste auf dem Bett sitzen Keine Minibar Zum Glück war schönes Wetter, so konnte die Terrasse genutzt werden, könnte aber mal eine kleine Markise hin, so dass man nicht auf dem Präsentierteller sitzt und ausreichend Stuhlpolster.

Hotel met een mooie ligging aan de Rijn vlakbij het pontje naar het prachtige stadje Linz! Ruime maar warme kamer, geen airo! Het was 30c en de zon scheen op de ramen, geen zonwering. Kleine douchecabine en kleine wastafel. Gratis parkeergelegenheid. WIFI was prima. Ontbijt was goed. Wij misten alleen een gekookt of gebakken eitje, enkel scrambled eieren. Een kan koffie wordt gebracht, geen cappuccino of espresso. Op de kamer geen koffie- en/of theezetfaciliteiten. Er was een minibar maar deze was stuk.

Prima hotel met uitzicht op de Rijn. Het is de moeite waard om een duurdere kamer met balkon/terras te nemen (uitzicht, koffie op de kamer, koelkastje). Het nieuwe deel (Rheinvilla) is erg mooi met ruime kamers. Het ontbijt was prima en werd goed aangevuld. We waren hier maar 1 nacht en het regende zodat we niet meer de pont naar Linz gegaan zijn. Volgende keer hopelijk wel.

Schönes Hotel mit toller Lage. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer würde ich, für deutsche Verhältnisse, als mittelmäßig betrachten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung.

We got a lecture at checkout about not eating everything on our plates from the free breakfast buffet, animals died and we didn’t eat every scrap. In a “pet-friendly” hotel we also were berated because our clean, beautiful Weimaraner puppy sat in a chair at the reception/checkout counter. Someone doesn’t need to be in the hospitality business. With many other options, we cannot recommend this slightly rundown hotel.

Grundsätzlich fanden wir es sehr schön, aber die Beschreibung wie man nach 22 Uhr einchecken kann, war sehr umständlich. Auch finden wir es nicht sehr flexibel, wenn es einem verboten wird nach sehr anstrengenden Tagen ein Brötchen für die Begleitperson fürs Frühstück aufs Zimmer zu bringen…

We had a wonderful stay at the Rheine Hotel Arte in Kripp, Remagen. Wonderful view over the Rhine from their enclosed conservatory where we ate breakfast every morning. Our room was very spacious with an ensuite bathroom. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was buffet style. It was superb with an extensive choice of meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, fruit and a very simple cooked breakfast as well. A gentleman at reception was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to give lots of advice on places to visit and things to do in the locality. About a half hour walk into Ramegan and the ferry( foot and car) across to the east bank, Linz, was right by the hotel. It was also convenient that you could have dinner at the hotel if you wished to do so: not particularly cheap, but very nice.

Das Hotel liegt direkt ggü. von Linz am Rhein und man kann mit der Fähre alle paar Minuten übersetzen und die dortige Altstadt genießen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilsbereit. Wir haben sofort Tipps für den Abend bekommen und auch was wir in der Umgebung besichtigen könnten. Die Lage ist für einen Kurztrip optimal und auch für Tagungen ist das Hotel geeignet. Das Frühstücksbuffet ließ keine Wünsche übrig und man kann sich ausgibig stärken.

Stayed here for stopover on the way back to the UK. We booked a superior double room with Rhine River views. Prior to check in at 2pm we parked the car in the large car park at the back and walked to the ferry (a few steps away) to Linz across the Rhine. The ferry costs 1.20 euro one way each. Linz was a very pretty 'chocolate box' town with lots of places to eat and drink. We strolled around and then returned to the hotel where we had a refreshing beer on the wonderful terrace while waiting for our room. The room was very large with a fridge and kettle for a morning cup of tea (take your own tea bags), it had a balcony which overlooked the Rhine, which we sat on for a pre dinner drink. The bathroom was also spacious with a shower but no bath. The beds were very comfortable. There is a TV in the room but the only English speaking channel was CNN, We enjoyed an evening meal on the terrace, it was lovely to take in the view over the Rhine whilst we ate. Breakfast was included, there was cereals, fruit, cold cuts, bacon and scrambled egg. The hotel was very full when we stayed so we had to wait a while for the bacon & scrambled egg to be replenished but it was all very nice. There is a train from Linz to visit Bonn & Cologne just 20 and 40 mins away which we didn't have time to do, alternatively there is a river boat which does the same journey. It was our first stay at this hotel but if we are ever in the area we would definitely stay again.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Rheinblick und Balkon, die Terrasse des Hotels zum Frühstücken und Abendessen ist wunderbar, die Speisekarte bietet für jeden etwas, zu Stoßzeiten hört man den Autoverkehr zu Fähre, nachts auch oft die Güterzüge, wir fühlten uns trotzdem sehr wohl

We had a wonderful stay at the Rheine Hotel Arte in Kripp, Remagen. Wonderful view over the Rhine from their enclosed conservatory where we ate breakfast every morning. Our room was very spacious with an ensuite bathroom. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was buffet style. It was superb with an extensive choice of meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, fruit and a very simple cooked breakfast as well. A gentleman at reception was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to give lots of advice on places to visit and things to do in the locality. About a half hour walk into Ramegan and the ferry( foot and car) across to the east bank, Linz, was right by the hotel. It was also convenient that you could have dinner at the hotel if you wished to do so: not particularly cheap, but very nice.

The property is on the banks of the Rhine and has stunning views of the river, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very satisfying, the staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Stayed here for stopover on the way back to the UK. We booked a superior double room with Rhine River views. Prior to check in at 2pm we parked the car in the large car park at the back and walked to the ferry (a few steps away) to Linz across the Rhine. The ferry costs 1.20 euro one way each. Linz was a very pretty 'chocolate box' town with lots of places to eat and drink. We strolled around and then returned to the hotel where we had a refreshing beer on the wonderful terrace while waiting for our room. The room was very large with a fridge and kettle for a morning cup of tea (take your own tea bags), it had a balcony which overlooked the Rhine, which we sat on for a pre dinner drink. The bathroom was also spacious with a shower but no bath. The beds were very comfortable. There is a TV in the room but the only English speaking channel was CNN, We enjoyed an evening meal on the terrace, it was lovely to take in the view over the Rhine whilst we ate. Breakfast was included, there was cereals, fruit, cold cuts, bacon and scrambled egg. The hotel was very full when we stayed so we had to wait a while for the bacon & scrambled egg to be replenished but it was all very nice. There is a train from Linz to visit Bonn & Cologne just 20 and 40 mins away which we didn't have time to do, alternatively there is a river boat which does the same journey. It was our first stay at this hotel but if we are ever in the area we would definitely stay again.

The hotel was on the river front and our room had a lovely terrace and a great view of the water. The room was very large and well decorated with drink making facilities available. The bathroom was modern with a lovely shower. Breakfast was good with a nice selection to offer, including some hot food. Staff were friendly and helpful. Two small minuses were, no lift to our room and the hairdryer was absolutely useless.
