This hotel has a great location in Shinjuku. It’s a five minute walk from Yotsuya, which has excellent connections to all parts of Tokyo, as well as the Bullet Train. Their lounge service (providing tea, coffee and pastries in the afternoon) is good. The room we booked was larger than the usual Tokyo bijou ones. It used the space well, with a large bed, a small dining area, a kitchenette, and even an excellent quality (very quiet) washer dryer. They do provide a very basic breakfast, but we weren’t interested. There were many eateries within 5 minutes walk which had a variety of Japanese and western options. The staff were friendly, but like many in Japan their English was limited. Anne and Sum, were the exceptions, and as such were able to help us a lot. The luggage transfer service to the next hotel in Kyoto was a life saver. We had a very enjoyable time at this lovely hotel and I’d be happy to recommend it to others.

The room was clean, in good condition, and in a good location. The room is cleaned after three days, but they will do limited cleaning when asked. The lobby coffee was a nice addition, and I believe that had more snacks in the afternoons but I didn't try. Our room's air conditioner was semi-broken, which made for an uncomfortable sleep. We let the front desk know of the problem after a warm first night, but as nothing was done we slept with the window open the second night. We notified the front desk again the next morning and they seemed to be more responsive. They asked if we wanted to change rooms, but as we were only staying for one more night we declined. When we returned to the room in the evening, there was a note explaining that the air con was indeed broken, but it would work if the temperature was set below 21c when turning it on, or if it was in drying mode. I should note that my wife is Japanese and I've lived more than 30 years in Japan, so reading and understanding the controls wasn't a problem. The aircon did work then, albeit intermittently. Again, the hotel is nice and the staff were friendly-- it would have been nice to have had some, any, feedback after the first time we asked for maintenance. For this reason, I might be reluctant to stay again....but I did like the room, in general the staff, and the location....

Soggiorno di 1 notte

Great hotel. Only stayed one night to go home from HND. It was a good stay. It was a close 5-7 minute walk to the train station in Shinjuku to go sight seeing. Only downside for me was that there was no ice machine other than on the main floor, but that did not effect my trip at all. Thank you for your hospitality!
