Fantastic staff. If you needed anything, someone was right there with it. Rooms were clean, fluffy robes, beach towels, all water crafts always ready. Planned on one night, then two and wanted more. Wi fi was great. Definitely a do again.

We booked the most expensive room in the hotel and it was barebones. No side tables, the mattresses felt like a pull out couch quality and there was no microwave or kitchen counter etc. in the room. The water pressure in the shower was weak. They don't turn on the jets in the hot tub. The fire pit couldn't be lit because they didn't have a lighter. For the amount we spent, I would've expected a lot more from the hotel.

Staff were excellent. Room looked improvised, not well laid out with poor lighting and seating options. Sauna was nice, and no one went to the pool. That whole area was uninviting. Restaurant was fine but another resort that is 5 min walk away had superior food.

Amenities were not kept up with Had to ask for fire pit and sauna to be started and had wait 1 hour for warmth. Mattresses were not put out and jacuzzi was broken and cold. Those are the amenities that meant the most when booking here and why we chose Christie’s. It was our honeymoon

This resort did not meet our expectations. We had a ground floor with a patio. The location was excellent and the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. However the chairs were placed awkwardly right in front of the door to the patio. There was no bedside table on one side even though there was lots of room for one. There was inadequate lighting in the room- only one ceiling light and one small lamp. It was impossible to read after dark. The TV did not work but we were awakened at 2 AM by a bright flashing light on the cable box. The pool was open but rather chilly and the hot tub was not working. We still had to pay the full resort fee even though none of the activities were operational at this time of year. The food was excellent and the waitresses ( Allison and Cathy) were too! So all in all, not quite what we expected for the price. More attention to detail is required.

Christie's Mill Inn and Spa was the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend. We swam in the lake (small private beach with chairs and shade); we used the indoor pool (which was clean and spacious) and the amazing outdoor areas for relaxing (from couches to beds to Muskoka chairs, all over the property facing the water). We had dinner in the restaurant and it was lovely, also used the spa where everyone was nice and the place was clean. No need to go anywhere at all during the weekend. It was relaxing and we left happy and well rested! Would recommend and will most definitely come back!

Pool and “Soaker” tub are gross. Couldn’t see the bottom of the pool and the tub had “stuff” floating in it. “Soaker” tub used to be a hottub, clearly, but at one point they decided not to keep the jets operating and just changed its name. Outdoor sauna was decent but the ground to get to it was saturated, muddy, and covered in goose poop. Restaurant was meh and out of two of their main courses. Room was decent enough. Good sized. Cleaniness is questionable because we checked in with an old cheetos on the carpet and the room smelled like sewage a little due to humidity, that said, staffs were friendly and they sent a maintenance crew to vaccum the carpet.

The staff were very sweet and helpful, our room was very clean and comfortable. We had the pool to ourselves which is lovely, and the area itself is a great location for the hotel, right on the water, I imagine they’re booked and busy in the summer months. They have a restaurant on site, limited options but still pretty good food and not bad prices either. Parking was easy and very accessible. We did ask for a late checkout and think it possible they forgot to add that onto our thing if that’s how that works because we got locked out of our room at 10:30 even though our checkout was 12. The Housekeeping was very sweet and let us back into our room and kindly explained it was an automatic thing. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back!

Bed wasn’t made well. All drinking glasses had finger prints all over them. Had no coffee mug for the coffee machine. For $190 a night, I expected much higher service than a common motel off the highway.

The entire property could have used a thorough cleaning, especially hallway carpets and behind/under furniture in the room we had. Charming shabby chique ambiance but tending a little more towards the shabby than the chique. However, the lakeside setting was absolutely SPECTACULAR! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Despite the charming English Country vibe the bar with a stunning sunset view played redneck American country music. Not at all in keeping with the clientele.
The entire property could have used a thorough cleaning, especially hallway carpets and behind/under furniture in the room we had. The room had several small imperfections: damage to the wall from the main door, door stoppers damaged the door, and mold developing in the shower. I would appreciate a property with better hallway noise dampening so I'm not roused at 6am by someone simply walking by the room. Likewise, while I paid extra for a balcony, it was totally unusable. Expedia also did not post the winter hours for amenities, which vary significantly to summer availability (e.g. no breakfast during the week and no dinner Mon and Tues.) While I can appreciate that snowfall was very heavy and I wasnt going at peak season, I'm not thrilled at having been charged more for extras that were never available. Credit where it's due, though, the staff here were very friendly and efficient. Thanks for your efforts, I venture this place would be a much better experience in the summer, being as close to the water as it is.

This is a fantastic location, close to bars restaurants and town. Swimming is good, fire pit a great place to meet people. The grounds on the other hand, not very clean, carpets old and have an Oder, place needs more maintenance and painting. Our patio door was very difficult to operate, screen door damaged, would not close. The staff helped make up the short falls, very good.

Airconditioning wasn't working & the room temperature rose to 25.5C. Luckily it got cooler at night and the room became more comfortable with the window open. The attendant showed up immediately when informed of the problem, but couldn't fix the issue. Gave a funny excuse but that's okay.

Staff were helpful in fixing some issues with the amenities. Fireplace in our room got fixed. Issues with our key cards were fixed. Owen was very helpful. The pool area was outdated and looked a little grimy, the hot tub jets don’t work and a sign was put up to state it is now a soaker tub. It wasn’t very warm either and was the same temp as the pool. Dinner was pretty good at the restaurant, the presentation was great and the server was very thoughtful. The room was beautiful, the jacuzzi was great. The tv was outdated and wasn’t able to connect to our devices. A good experience and would be worth checking it out during the summer to enjoy the outdoor views and amenities more.

The pool area was outdated and looked a little grimy, the hot tub jets don’t work and a sign was put up to state it is now a soaker tub. It wasn’t very warm either and was the same temp as the pool. This resort did not meet our expectations. We had a ground floor with a patio. The location was excellent and the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. However the chairs were placed awkwardly right in front of the door to the patio. There was no bedside table on one side even though there was lots of room for one. There was inadequate lighting in the room- only one ceiling light and one small lamp. It was impossible to read after dark. The TV did not work but we were awakened at 2 AM by a bright flashing light on the cable box. The pool was open but rather chilly and the hot tub was not working. We still had to pay the full resort fee even though none of the activities were operational at this time of year. The food was excellent and the waitresses ( Allison and Cathy) were too! So all in all, not quite what we expected for the price. More attention to detail is required.

the view was great, lakeside. had a bunch of facilities but did not get a chance to use them. but did use the hot tub, which was cold and functions did not work. wanted to use sauna but it was outdoor which i thought was inconvenient. room was very small considering what i paid and the pictures provided definitely is deceiving. my room also had a balcony, but its shared throught the second floor and not individual. the tv in the room did not work, didnt bother to call guest services to configure it. the room and bathroom floor could be cleaner. i booked a queen bed but the bed was definitely not a queen size. i think the room should get a refresh as well.

We started off in a room that was a bit rough. The bathroom door did not latch shut. And the headboard on the bed had staples sticking out of it. We did bring these concerns to the front desk and they did move us to a new room which we then had no concerns with. The rooms were tiny but comfortable. Our only real complaint is that there was no microwave in our room and that there was no mirror out in the bedroom, so it was inconvenient to get ready while someone else was in the bathroom. Also when booking we didn’t realize the smoking policy of having to be way out in the parking lot to have a smoke.

Room was a bit dated. If staying on the ground floor you can hear everything going on in the unit above. Footsteps from above unit were very loud. Bottom floor units had an unpleasing smell that wouldn't go away. Not sure if the same on the upper floors. Otherwise a one time stay for us.

Fantastic staff. If you needed anything, someone was right there with it. Rooms were clean, fluffy robes, beach towels, all water crafts always ready. Planned on one night, then two and wanted more. Wi fi was great. Definitely a do again.

As commented by staff at check in as we booked through Expedia we do not get “upgraded” rooms and therefore we overlooked the roof of the restaurant! When asked if we could upgrade to a lake view were told initially there was nothing available. Followed up later and told it would be an extra $100 per night for a room with a view! Would not recommend this place

We had the pool to ourselves which is lovely, and the area itself is a great location for the hotel, right on the water, I imagine they’re booked and busy in the summer months. They have a restaurant on site, limited options but still pretty good food and not bad prices either. Parking was easy and very accessible. We did ask for a late checkout and think it possible they forgot to add that onto our thing if that’s how that works because we got locked out of our room at 10:30 even though our checkout was 12. The Housekeeping was very sweet and let us back into our room and kindly explained it was an automatic thing. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back!

We’ve enjoyed our stay here with our family and our dog as well. It’s very relaxing, peaceful, and quiet. All the staff are friendly and very accommodating, making our stay an enjoyable and amazing experience. Additionally, our dog had a great time here too. Our recent visit was disappointing due to a significant delay in service, only to us. We waited 30 minutes for a server after being seated, while tables around us received immediate attention. If it place was busy its understandable but it wasnt. This disparity in service felt like an act of purposeful neglect and a failure to provide inclusive service to all.

Our room was an adjoining room and the person beside us had their tv on loud. Called front desk to help and no one helped. Wall was paper thin could hear everything… On site restaurant was terrible!! The bar tender couldn’t make mixed drinks and was extremely expensive. Just wanted a quick getaway which was a fail. I would not recommend. Front desk staff were terrific at check in.

This place is a hidden gem if you keep some tips in mind. 1) When booking, ask for the newer section. We were given a room in the old section that looked out onto a roof with an a/c and other unsightly equipment, which we did not expect for our vacation resort. When we asked about changing rooms, the only other available option was overlooking the parking lot for an additional cost per night. We turned it down. 2) bringing a dog does not guarantee you a room with a walk-out patio. Again, ask in advance. 3) the restaurant does not serve lunch, and there is no microwave in the room. We visited a neighbouring resort for lunch which was lovely. 4) bring water shoes. The beach is a light layer of sand on top of rock. When the rock is exposed it can get very slippery and we actually saw somebody slip and fall. They were fine but it was concerning to witness. 5) even though dogs are permitted, they are not allowed in the restaurant unless they are service dogs. 6) The location on the edge of the water is ideal and the area is great for canoeing / kayaking, etc. It was not very busy which allowed for some peaceful times. The service was very kind, friendly, respectful.

We had a nice time at the inn. Small room. Would have liked to be facing the water. Great dinner overlooking the lake! Enjoyed the seating along the water, with small beach, lawn games, campfire and raised lounge areas. Would have loved to use the paddle boat, paddle boards and kayaks if the weather was nice. Close to Coldwater-cute little town with restaurants, bowling alley and ice cream shop. Easy access to the highway.

Great location if you are boating in the area. Lots of dock space available. The rooms are a bit dated, however, very clean and comfortable. We had an amazing dinner and breakfast in the dining room on the property and really enjoyed it. The staff are incredible, very friendly and excellent service.

My partner and I decided to visit this place to relax for the weekend. The pictures of the property seemed lovely, however the stay was less than desirable. The room had a certain smell. The bed was old and the mattress was super uneven. Bathroom smelled awful. We decided to take a look at the amenities and the pool and whirlpool were dirty. Water was cold on both and the whirlpool did not work. They had a note posted in the wall saying that basically it never works and won’t be fixed so you sit in a cold tub with staggered water. Food and drinks were overpriced and lacked quality, plus everything closes at 9 PM. Truly disappointed. I will not recommend.

Looks like a great summer destination. Place was empty on my visit which meant the restaurant wasn’t open for breakfast or dinner when I arrived. Asked for a floor level room and told it was all booked up?? There were three cars in the lot so was a little disappointed that they were not willing to accommodate as they don’t have an elevator to the second floor.. small Inconvenience

Loved this Inn! Rooms were appointed with modern furnishings but still warm and comfortable! Restaurant was beautiful and food was excellent! Our server Jade, was very attentive and fun and personable! Can’t wait to go back! Beautiful surroundings as well

This is my second time up at Christies Mill and Spa. Love the property. It's nice to have your own beach. Love the lake. It's a very peaceful place to get away. My room was an upgraded one and it was very comfortable. I also went to the spa and had a facial.There was a problem with my facial. Kelly the spa manager and the new manager of the hotel were very accommodating. Excellent customer service.Was solved. I'm glad they will be renovating in November. Have stayed at this hotel early last year. It’s deteriorated significantly! Almost in all aspects. Standoffish reception, who wasn’t aware their ice machine wasn’t working and that they had a sauna on the second floor. That’s if she was at the desk. Want there for over half an hour mid day. Food was not good at all. Pasta and chicken clearly from frozen and microwaved. Not edible. Even burger wasn’t good. Room had a single second bed squeezed in. No cleaning service until we asked later in the day. Garbage not emptied and beds not made. Old food and dishes sat in the hall outside a room for over 24 hours. Heard it had changed ownership. They won’t survive with the existing issues. Won’t go back for sure.

Beautiful hotel!! Absolutely stunning location and so much to do!! We were only there for a night and couldn’t take advantage of everything available. We will have to plan a trip back for a few days to enjoy all the amenities!!
