While we thought the room was cramped and outdated, it was quiet,the shower and air worked well. The pool was very nice and big. We will stay here again!

The room and bathroom were clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Distance to beach and boardwalk were AMAZING! It would have been great if there had been some pans and cooking utensils that came with the kitchen so we didn't have to bring and/or purchase knives, cutting boards, pots and pans, etc. The pool is in desperate need of updating. Dozens of the tiles were falling off into the pool and leaving the sharp cement underneath exposed. But the kids had an awesome time and for the price we really couldn't beat the location.

This Seaside Hotel is a conveniently close to all the fun kinda place. The staff are all so nice and accommodating. The pool is nice for the kids and the beach is across the street with beach access practically midway on the boardwalk. The rooms are dated but clean and air conditioners keep the room nice and cool. The showers are tiny but water pressure and hot water is great. I bring my own pillows and blankets for comfort. The stairs to 2nd and 3rd floor are a bit dated but this hotel is an antique to the Jersey Shore. The microwave and mini fridge are a bonus. You get what you pay for so don't expect 5 stars but they really do their best for the amount of people this place accommodates. Parking is available but interesting when full capacity is reached. Its a great place for those who can keep an open mind that are looking for a affordable getaway for including beach badges is just exceptional with home cooked breakfast across the street at Jimmys. It can be a little noisy at times because LOTS of kids are having fun and some adults let loose and drink a little too much sitting outside the rooms. I guess their people watching because there is no ocean views.

AMAZING LOCATION!!!! Very run down seaside motel, definitely fixable, and a good value in my opinion. I sat on a broken chair by the pool (it didn't look broken, but my ass fell right through when I sat!! Ow), some stairs are wobbly, rust all over and cracks in the pool area could use a little bleach, caulk, and a touch up paint job. Our two-double-bed room on the third floor itself was very basic, and not horrible. The bed was comfortable, and the bedspreads were clean and not scary as I've experienced in other seaside motels. Free parking is a great amenity, but it's behind the motel, and very tight. The lot needs to be cleaned up too, there's all kinds of debris, I was hoping not to pop a tire. (I didn't) Across the street from Lucky Leo's arcade, and Jimmy's breakfast restaurant. Overall, great little place for a seaside heights getaway. Location location location.

The staff was great. The location was absolutely phenomenal. The pool was clean and sunshine over it all day. The rooms are nothing to write home about and they could use new mattresses but it was clean ! Location and cleanliness is given 5 stars. I would stay again.

Always a good time at this place! Their pool is perfect... right on the main road so you can see all the interesting people walking by lol. Good staff members. Super close to the boardwalk, right across the street. It's what you would expect from a hotel in Seaside Heights. For the price, I definitely recommend this place.

Loved the location. Parking situation was a little tight. There was mold on the shower curtain and some outlets in the room didnt work.

It was nice and i enjoyed my stay. Only thing is i wish the pool was open later than 6

This place is filthy. The mold in the bathroom was unacceptable.

Surfside Motel was a basic beach motel. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean but could use some updates it did have a very small bathroom. The swimming pool was also clean. The people at the front desk were very helpful and friendly someone always there if you needed anything. Onsite parking, and very close to the boardwalk and beach.

The location is perfect but the room was overtaken by gnats, they sprayed the room twice while we were there but we could still not get past the gnats everywhere and couldn’t understand where they were coming from but swarms in the bathroom and shower too. The staff was nice and offered to change our room but it was right next door and shared the same walls so I’m sure there would be gnats taking over too. I looked at the room but it was no better. The location is ideal but next time we will not stay here. For what I paid for 2 nights we are so disappointed.

Nice for the cost typical older motel, but very clean

The front desk lady at check in was nice. Pool was dirty. The room was very dirty I don’t think the comforter was even washed since found hair and crumbs on it, bathroom was disgusting, mold in curtains, toilet wasn’t even cleaned. The floors didn’t seem like they have been cleaned for a while, the TV didn’t even work. Humidity etc Distance to the boardwalk was the only good thing!

There was dried blood on the blanket. Roaches in the room next door. Fight down stairs. Drunk people past our room at 2am waking our kids up. Not a nice place

Broken walk ways, the bathroom was incredably small, with cracks in the flooring, shower stalls, black mold throughout. The drains radiated a smell tgat i have never experienced, the minute the bathroom door was opened we all gagged, mak8ng the bathroom non usable

Street parking is free for disabled. Great location for the boardwalk. Staff was super nice. Those are the only positives. Do not stay here unless you like risking your life with every step you take! The floors along the outside hallways and inside the bathroom are all rotted out and only covered in paint. I almost fell down a flight of stairs twice. Blood on the pillow cases. Dead bolt doesn't work and it looks like almost every door in the hotel has been busted in and poorly fixed. TV didnt work

Was extraordinarily noisy throughout the entire night-on premises and off. I left a day early. Room was clean but powerful smell of cleaning products. A/C made a banging noise every time it turned on and ran very noisy. The staff was pleasant.

Unsafe. The locks on room door were broken. No deadbolt. No chain. Outside is visible through door jams. Easy to see the door was definitely busted through, by force, multiple times. If someone wanted to get in, just needed a credit card to barely slip the lock. Get what you pay for. It’s prime location. Across the street from boardwalk and beach. A little before midway. Pool was ok and clean. Rooms, mattresses and furniture old, outdated, broken. Kinda gross. $200 for 2 nights … worth it if just to shower and sleep.

Parking- awful! Very small. Staff- alright the man at the desk this morning was a delight My room had no hot water- made for uncomfortable showers Rooms do their purpose mainly- if you’re lookin for a room to just sleep in this is your place

The room was dumpy and very outdated. And the tv did NOT work. I get it it’s just a room to sleep but it cloud of been a bit tidier. And I’m sorry but I DO expect a tv a simple tv to work.

Good points: staff was very nice and friendly. The bed was very comfortable. Everything (shower, air conditioner, TV, refrigerator, microwave, ice machine, swimming pool) worked. Great location right across from the boardwalk and only blocks from the amusement park. And the swimming pool, though small, was very nice. Cons: I have never before stayed in a building that felt structurally unsound, but this one did. We were on the third (no elevator) floor. The stairs themselves were solid, but some of the metal railings were held in place with hose clamps. And the floors, which were probably originally concrete, had been covered by what felt like plywood sheets covered in fiberglass and painted grey. In some spots the flooring felt hollow or spongy when you stepped on it. The door to our room was rotted and split, and had been bolted back together. The dead bolt didn't work, and the door knob lock looked like it could be defeated with a plastic butter knife. We were never sure that it was actually locked. There wasn't a level surface in our room, and when the people next door started moving furniture around it felt like the whole building was shaking. Other than that there were no lights aside from the ceiling lights, so it was pretty dark in the room. There was literally no place to hang anything. No closet area, no wall hooks, nothing. And the shower curtain rod was only attached (loosely) to the wall on one end, so that wasn't going to hold anything.

Floor was dirty upon arrival and there was a huge gap in between the ac and outside we could see right outside but we stuffed a towel in it so bugs didn’t come in. But the location was nice and the bed was comfy.

Wi-Fi did not work

Check in was friendly service wanted to stay extra day and staff was very helpful and pleasant and accommodating the cleaning service were very friendly and helpful with all our needs pool was very clean and maintained every morning brought 3 of my grandchildren for their first experience and they loved it have stayed here 3 times before and as always we were very happy will b back

Better housekeeping services. We had no one check in on us to see if we needed more towels or wash cloths and we took out our own trash. Front desk staff was friendly.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. The location is very close to the beach and boardwalk, this was our second year at this hotel.

The staff was very very rude and not accommodating. We arrived room was dirty and the A.C was NOT WORKING .. Then finally they switched our room. To an even worse room the bed was legit broken in half & that A.C did not work. The lady in the front was so rude and yelling at me. The room sheets were filthy and hair in showers

We arrived Friday Aug 15th when checking in the lady at the front desk was amazing so nice and funny loved her! Even tho the place can use some updates, was very clean and smelled nice bed somewhat comfortable the pillow did suck and the bathroom was very small we asked for more towels and got them right away. Also asked for another blanket and got that right away fresh and clean the man at the front desk was also VERY nice! Also very close to the boardwalk like feet away!! We had an amazing stay and will be back again for another!

Staff was great very helpful and attentive! Only issue we had was with one late night security guard. He was giving us hard time about leaving the motel after hours despite us being 22 years old and everyone having wristbands for our room. Threaten to kick us out if everyone in our room didn’t have wristbands to show even though we all did. I will say Ricky the day time security guard along with the one 2 which I don’t know there names were excellent and very nice caring people.

We always stay here it’s not the greatest it’s like any beach motel but we tend to love it here good location worth the money not too high, one time I left my wedding rings and they called me to return them very honest ppl if it’s for a quick stay this is the place for you

I had a great experience and I went with my children and couldn't have felt any safer. The parking is safe and the walk to the boardwalk is just 2 min away.

great location park and stay explore by foot or bike to anywhere .. could use some updating but over all i will definitely stay again everything worked had hot water Ac worked tv worked there are police everywhere it is extremely safe there i saw police everywhere my whole stay i felt super safe

The staff here were friendly & accomodating, we loved the location of our room to the pool & beach. the property could use some repair. The bathroom sink was not fixed, the shower faucet came off the wall, under the kitchen sink there was black mold, some of the windows would not open. However, the staff was generous with towels, TP, and even gave us a coffee pot and pots and pans to use at no charge. Also, the security guard seemed to not notice the teenagers dangling from the balconies.

Love the convenience being 1 block from board walk and beach. Pool was clean and nice . Great breakfast place right next store to motel with great food with eat in or take out. Motel could use a remodeling but would stay here again because of the convenience.

It has a clean pool and the location is great, other than that its a run down hotel in seaside, just a place to try and sleep but not likely. Beds are rough, Jimmys Breakfast is right across the street

This property was so terrible that my husband and I ended up cutting our weekend beach trip short and leaving early. First, the property was completely misrepresented. There was no coffee maker in the room as advertised. The door did not shut properly. We had to use all three locks to keep it shut. There was a lot to be desired as far as cleaning went. The room smelled, and thank God that I had taken my own air freshener with us. The sheets were clean but the floors were sticky and dirty, there was mold in the bathroom, and the showers were so hot i thought I would get scaled. Safety was another story altogether. This was not so much a motel as a dumping ground for the homeless and section 8 residents. You couldn’t walk downstairs without running into a group of people smoking weed and hanging out in front of the motel by the pool. It was very uncomfortable as they watched every move you made. The weed permeated our room all hours of the day and night and the obnoxious and profanity laden music blasted until 2 am. So much for quiet hours and a relaxing beach weekend. On Saturday, we went over to the beach for a few hours and when we came back, someone had obviously been in our room and the second monkey we left on the dresser was gone. That was the last straw for us and this is when we decided to leave. We requested a refund but was denied.

Had an apartment , stove didnt work. Microwave and the plug didnt reach the outlet so had to microwave things on the FLOOR. Had a lot of flys. No management on site past 9.30. ... only provided half a toulet paper and just wasnt very welcoming.

After reading several scathing reviews of this place, I decided to try staying there for myself and I was pleasantly surprised. Clearly the poor reviews are coming from people who are accustomed to staying at much fancier, more expensive hotels. But for the value, it’s hard to beat its prime location right by the beach and boardwalk. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all of my questions and even gave me some great local restaurant suggestions. The room was clean and smelled clean. The shower had hot water, and yes the bathroom may be small but it wasn’t an issue for me. The room included a microwave and fridge and a TV. There is a typical window A/C and heater as well. I would absolutely stay here again.

For what it is, it is perfect. Next to the boardwalk and right there with many options. Thank you
